"While the economic recession that hits the world has not yet affected the Grand Duchy, main Taraskovyan Corporations have reviewed the profits of their 'outer' filials to a low.
VerTech, the Taraskovyan national monopole in many sectors, ranging from Arms technologies to IT, reports that it predicts the profits of its foreign filials to go down by at least 2% in the next quarter.
"Faberge", specialised in jewelry and luxury goods, have reported a slight decrease in exports of brute gold, silver and platinum over the last few weeks. Their commerce of 'finished products', however, has not been affected.
Other Corporations and Companies have stated that they might experience slight changes in the way they operate their foreign filials, but, quoting a representative of a corporation: "There is nothing to fear about. If needed, we will use the domestic funds to lessen the impact of the recession on our filials."
As of the Domestic situation, the GDP is currently at a steady growth rate. The prices were yet again reduced, after an inquiry led by the Consultative Committee for Consumer Protection, which stated that the Corporations were slightly abusing their monopole position in their respective sectors. More than that, the Consultative Committee for Social Welfare and Protection and its sub-committees have led their own inquiry, which led to a rising of minimal wages and wages percentage on the territory of the Grand Duchy. The Council of Duchy enacted both measures, which immediately had a direct consequence in a consumer outburst..."
