The Chancellor of The Most Holy Principality of Roania has today announced that due to the recent stockmarket scares throughout the Pacific Rim, Roania is now in a depression. We go with you to a live interview now with her.
David Nutall: Ms. Chancellor, people are saying that this is due to Roania's adoption of the NSWorld Dollar last summer. The NSWD is the major currency of choice for the planet, and it seemed like a wise idea at the time, but...
Christine Hutchinson: Well, you must understand that this could also be due to the fact that Roanian companies have most of their manual labor done overseas, in nations like East Islandia, Ell, Gradenk, etc. These nations are involved in war right now, or are going to war. They were also harshly affected by the recent labor legislation at that subversive body, the UN.
DN: Ms. Chancellor, do you think that this problem will end any time soon?
CH: We should hope so, however, as I said to the council this afternoon, the whole Industrial world is suffering from this. Many of our allies are posting false profits, but these fly against the trend.
DN: I understand that the Prince and the Grand Vizier were displeased at your announcement?
CH: They weren't happy, no. But what else could I do? Several Roanian firms are going bankrupt! RDY, AMDM, RP are suffering the worst losses in a century!
DN: And we're going to have to leave you, as word has just arrived that Diety Broadcasting has collapsed...
