Nemerov walked to the podium. Taking a drink of water, he began.

"Throughout humanity’s history, the role of gods has always been important. Whether they served as the deities of the Hindu religion, or the single God of Judaism and Christianity, the use of such super natural powers explained the unexplainable: nature’s dominion over mankind. As the human mind grew and explored its planet; it grew angry and restless over the inconsistency between scientific find and their God’s rationale. The silence of their Gods also disturbed them. It is from this silence that one should assume the existence of an indifferent God, a philosopher’s god. One that may or may not have created the heavens and earth, but has no ear for humanity and therefore no control over its actions or the world that it encases.

These truths are to be considered: Humanity has faced war after war on the topic of whose God is the most righteous, whose God is the most holy and the most right. The blood of men, women, and children alike has been spilt over and over again on whether their conviction to the Lord is truthful or not. Genocide and massacre has been pressed upon millions because their God is the wrong God, the blood in their veins is mud in the eyes of another supernatural being, and yet what gifts have these Gods brought to humanity in the past few eras. The misunderstanding of the Jewish race, the forced Christianization of people in foreign lands resulting in the loss of culture and heritage that has stemmed for thousands of years through time. In an ever modernizing world, people are becoming less and less genuine with their connection to their faith. Convoluted are the messages of religion when children cannot be subjected to the raw facts of their faith but instead are told things like, “other Gods are wrong,” and “children of other beliefs will go to Hell,” but “Be happy because you are saved.” Is it not right to love all, and forgive many?

We are all guilty of giving hate instead of love.

We are all guilty of not whole-heartedly forgiving the actions of others, whether they be against us or not.

Guilty of rejecting others views without even trying to understand them.

Guilty of hating because of outward appearance or belief.

Guilty of prejudice.

Guilty of inflicting pain.

Taking sides.

The moral conscience that beats within each and every human heart cannot be tamed by a religion. As time passes such disciplines disappear in the place of what was sinful. We declare that in place of the prejudices established by separate religions, the hate and hardship, confusion and convoluted messages be replaced by the common interest of humanity. The bonds that bind are there because of each and every heart that beats with human passion and love.

We hereby declare that in place of an angry god, a benevolent god, a sad god, that a god of indifference come to play so that for once humans can hear the silent yet constant desire to unite and live just happily. Altercations are realistic, but through the natural course of the human mind, making amends is as well.

The unknown is mostly found. It sits before us, and an ancient God’s rationale for why it is there is not needed.

The unknown lies within. It is the anger and passion of the human being. It’s the bonds the bind.

Break.

And bind again. Humanity’s God lies within itself."

Without another word, the Emperor slowly retreated back towards the exit of the stage.

We understand your recent denouncal of Organized religion, but we are unclear whether or not we can still send Missionaries. If you will not allow Proselyting (sp) may we just send them to answer questions for curious people and serve your community?

While the country of Old Narn is not religious at all, we disagree with your banning of all organized religions. We of Old Narn believe that to ban a religion would be tantamount to banning a political party, which we would never do. Instead, we try through public education to make sure that none of our people are suspectibe to the irrational beliefs of religion.

Frankly, Mr. Nemerov, without God you cannot be an Emporer. Emporer's rule because their right to rule is ordained and granted by God, without that, they have no right to rule. If you were a republic this would be different, but for all monarchies, they rule because God ordains them, unless you use the Polish-Lithuanian system of electing the heir.

Without this, anyone can claim to be Emporer after you are dead, Mr. Nemerov.
