The Black Diamond Initiative, formerly known as NATO, has reformed its charter and is now looking for new members. Members of the BDI are granted economic assistance in times of need, military support, and technological benefits.

We also have an offsite forum, and are developing a website.

Currently, we are accepting most applications and have several leadership roles open.

While we are accepting memberships, there are some restrictions and regulations:
Applicants must:
1) Be at least 75 million in population size at the time of submition
2) Have participated in atleast two Role-Plays to be inspected by BDI members

The application must be an informal essay:
1) A brief summary of your nation's government.
2) A brief history (a link to an already writen history is also acceptable)
3) A brief description of your nations military
4) A brief description of the nation itself (geography, people, technologies, culture)
5) Your Population at the time of the application submition

Charter of the Black Diamond Initiative

Article 1 – Member States must abide to the Geneva Convention and the International Laws of the Sea, Air, and Space.

Article 2 – Member States will provide all available military power to the Black Diamond Initiative states during crisis.

Article 3 – Member states will band together to stand against nations which pursue policies of aggression against member states.

Article 4 – Member States will follow resolved policies to be amended.

Article 5 – Member States agree to stand against terrorism and states which support it.

Article 6 – Member States will seek peace with other states where possible, but will be prepared to use force.

Article 7 – Member States will provide humanitarian aid and relief to countries embroiled in conflicts.

Article 8 – Member States will not actively utilize this alliance to seek power for their nations nor pursue acts of revenge or land seizure.

Article 9 - The Charter of the Black Diamond Initiative will remain in the archives of the Armed Republic of Ruhr, and each signing state will receive a copy of the original document.

You can do it, Tiburon. You can. You enjoy playing the game obviously, but you need to better yourself. Once you apply, you will become an Associate member with the same responsibilities as Celack. But first, you need to apply yourself.

The Black Diamond Intiative. I do recall you mentioning this a long time ago, Ruhr. I must say, I am quite impressed. Perhaps, I will consider joining.

That is, being that previous incidents are not held against one's application. I know that the moments before you ceased ties with my region, matters were tense and were not working out. However, I blame alot of that on me, for the mere fact that my NationState's activty and patience wavered greatly.

If we could amend those incidents, and start over, then perhaps this organization would be perfect for me. However, I will leave that up to you to decide.

Note: All correspondence is done by Mathias Bortniansky, the new leader of The Dictatorship, until Der Fuhrer is fit to step back into the political, field (that is, if Der Fuhrer makes it back into the political field).

Thanks. I have been improving myself; compare the threads such as the Dragons thread I did with Haraki against the threads I'm in right now with Roania. The main problem I think people have is that my war RPs have Gundams. And I like Gundams. A lot. I'll improve story development, but don't expect those Gundams to go away anytime soon. ^_~

OOC: Nope, still haven't finished that application... I have it saved on a computer at home in New Jersey... while I vacation in Virginia... so expect it to submitted latest by Wednesday.

-Dmitri Carver-My Rping have gone to hell because I have become bored quicker. I have decided to use my talents more and develop better rp's. I have started with my war with Hill Ville.

Metropolis Utopia, Isolationist People - It was reported from the Council of the Empire that after a reform of the alliance known as NATO, Isolationist People will sign the new treaty and ratify in under the whole Council of the Empire, pledging the Empire to the new alliance: the Black Diamond Inititive. While the Empire's support for NATO was not as strong as some Councilmembers had hoped for, there is debate in the Council as to how much support will be given to the new alliance. Currently, select units of the military are on orders of standby in case of callup for use in the alliance, along with other economic aid to other alliance members as needed. But new legislation, introduced by Councilwoman Samantha Chase, gives the Empire ability to expand its role and function in the alliance if such a case is needed. More debate is expected in the days to follow, but all legislation currently proposed is said to have the Preator's full support.
