LRR needs 50 or so Moderately armed cruisers for patrol and policework. We cannot spare many of our destroyers from their duties for this task, and Olof Palme class frigates, being wholly unarmed, (but still real fast and all around da bestest) are unsuited to the task of patrol. (their main tast is exploration and science)

Here are the requirments:

Armerment:

Adequate for fending off fighters and frigates, and must be able to hold its own with a ship of similar size.

Size:

Between a destroyer and frigate, possibly larger, but not by much.

Speed/Manouverability:

Must be able to pursue freighters and cargo ships, as well as the larger lines of personal craft. (LRR has its own ship service corvettes)

Capacity:

Must be able to operate on a crew of 40-60.
Must be able to hold 50-70 marines.
Must be able to hold 4-10 corvettes

Looks good. Although I'd like to see some more applications before I purchase, this class definately is a front contender. As for the crew, a standard LRR ship's AI should take care of it. It might be a tad too big for our purposes. Mabye something closer to a frigate.

destroyer between frigate in size? it wouldn't a cruiser then, the only bigger than a cruiser excluding carriers are Battleships. What we got here are the ships used by the Teritoran Space Police, we use Different ships for Our Space Forces, as those warships are meant for Wars and other miltary actions and Space Police ships are ment to hunt down Pirates, enforce laws, answer distress calls and other dutys.

Teritoran Space Police ships: Biggest virtue of Space Teritoran Police Warships are that they are extremely fast, manoverable and extremely well shielded.

The Crusade class also catches my eye. But the Eastern Bloc ship still meets the requirements better.

Well heres our Space Forces ships, Their biggest virtue like Space Teritoran Police Warships are that they are extremely fast, manoverable and extremely well shielded. Its difficult to hit or even keep a steady fire on a Teritoran Warship or policeship.

(LRR warships are also very fast, manouverable, and heavily armed. We just tend to be more protective of native-designed ships. The cruisers would be sent to do duties not normally undertaken by LRR ships.)

But LRR will purchase 25 of your Ashagar class frigates.

As well as this, LRR needs some other things too:

150 one/two person ATVs
Training for 350 special forces personell (The whole nine yards)

Hows 20 billion per ship?

Very well, concidering the Bloody Pirates are making transpotion difficult these days. What about 21 Billion and we went intructers to train the crews in the proper uses and the differences of the frigates from your ships.
