NENYA, Sunday - In Nenya, Sunday, the unthinkable was set to occur. Despite the best efforts of the Nenyan Intelligence Organisational Umbrella Agency and its sub-divisions and associated entities, an effort was made on the High King Semir-randil's life this morning as he attended the monthly Festival of the Blade at Barad Aelin. IDFI, apparently given jurisdiction over the High King's safety some three weeks go when the plot was first 'discovered', had insisted - via the Imperial Palace Guard - that the High King wear a defensive MBD.
Thankfully, the High King agreed to the measure, and the assasination attempt - carried out with a lethal weapon believed to have been smuggled through the Sovereign Kingdom of Tumnore in the mountains to the south-west of Turath - was foiled when three projectile rounds from the foreign rifle impacted the Mini-Barrier Device defense screen. IPG officers rapidly reacted to the situation, neutralizing six dissidents whom had hidden near a grassy knoll to the west of the main entrance to the courtyard of Barad Aelin.
