Today the first division in the GCA completed training and are now on active service the 250 men and women are the first units in what defence Secretary Karl Kowkovski calls "a new model army the first of its kind in the world"
The Carpathian 1st as the batallion is called has been stationed at New Babylon army base situated five miles outside the capital President Protrate Nicolae Carpathia had this to say
"As a leader i am swelling with pride at the news that the first units of the GCA have been completed to the rest of the world however this might seem that we are buliding up an army that goes against our fabric beliefs as pacifists i can assure the world that this army is for homeland defence only and the defence of the citizens of Carpathianism thank you"
meanwhile in other news protests by pro communist students about next fridays summit with the Imperial Dominion of Diminix turned violent as petrol bombs were thrown at police trying to maintain order the poilce returned fire with tear gas and suppresant guns 24 students were injured with 120 being arrested the protest soon broke up with no further losse of property in the politcal centre of the city
