Governmental Questions

From Alex de Large, chairman, New Llamaslovakian Constitutional Committee

As my committee drafts a new constitution for New Llamaslovakia, we have run into a snag. We have decided to come to the international community at large for some input.

Which form of federal government works better, a parliamentary government where the executive branch is part of the majority party of the legislative brance, or a government like that of the United States of America, in which the branches of government are separate but equal? Thank you for your input.

Well, dictatorships work the best...

But America's style is better among the two you listed.

I too vote for "Seperate but Equal", but that is because this too is how my nation is run.

You could always invent your own government system...

The Parliament one will go smoother, but the Seperate but Equal one will be more fair...

We have a militarist system of government. But we'll go with seperate but equal.

We have tossed around ideas in which there is no real executive branch, only a legislative and judicial branch... the only "executive" would be the person in the "speaker of the house" type role.

Also, dealing with just the legislative branch, we may have three legislative houses: One according to the Virginia plan (population-based), one with three representatives from each province, and one made up of the governors of the provinces... the houses would all be equal; i dont believe there is any other example of this tricameral legislature anywhere.

The System of Fordism (the system of government used in the Brave New Ford World) which creates perfect stability and happiness using Social Conditioning, Soma, Chemical-Biological Conditioning, and Sexual-Mental-Applied Conditioning to bring about Civilization, all other forms of government are Barbaric and outdated. So declared by Our Most Glorious Ford before he departed the Earth.

In otherwords, he drugs his citizens up, and lets them have sex constantly, to keep them in a constant daze, so they never realize how idiotic and stupid Ford World is, and they can't rebel...

Harsh, there is also the fact that everyone in the nation is bred and conditioned to the job that they are chosen for and that the people who rebel against the system are given the choice to live on an island owned and kept under military watch by BNFW or (if they are of a kind that is good for it) a job int he government of the BNFW.
