Rise of the SGX
P89-534
* Kyle Rogers (AKA. Rophiapgisy), bolted up from his bunk.*
“That dream again.” he thought, it wasn't a dream really, more of his mind replaying his first view of his decimated home planet. “Curse the false god Apophis” he moaned.
* Kyle then rested back and began to reflect on the past. *
He remembered his fateful meeting with the Tau'ri, who had shown them the death of the false god Apophis. The one called Jack O'Neil told them to “Go home.” Ha, if only it had been that simple, when he and the others went to return through the Chaapa'ai, they had found their home planets decimated by the war Apophis had waged with Sokar.
Ash and bones --- all that had been left of his hometown, It was hard to not think about his lost family and friends, it was pretty much the same on all the other planets the men of the SGX had come from. “It might have been better if they would have just left us alone,” he thought, then they would never had known what had happened, ignorance was bliss after all. “No, it's better to know the truth than to live under that lie.” he reasoned to himself, sadly.
Since then, he and his men had become sell staffs – mercenaries – it was really all they could do. They continued to live and act like the Tau'ri and use their “earth names” because it was what had made them a unit, and certain Goa'uld lords liked the fact that they could be mistaken for the Tau'ri. they had suffered some losses over the past few years, and actually gained a few new recruits as their fame spread. Right now, they were at their base, Earth designation P89-534, the planet their Jaffa masters had trained them on. The base was more of a large city now actually, with survivors from the various planets making their homes here and traders regularly visiting them.
* Kyle slowly drifted back to sleep, his mind lost in his thoughts... *
OOC: This the background for a stargate puppet I might do something with -Patoxia.
