greetings friends, we would like it very much if you could provide some instructors for some activities or if one of your people would speak at the World Peace Concert. The waiting greeting party can't wait for much longer, they need more scouts to join them.

22-11-2003, 19:22
OOC does this involve actually RPing each individual event? I could almost certainly manage the talks on world peace, and the culture day bit, but I'm not sure how effective I would be at RPing a patrol or two playing paintball....
22-11-2003, 19:29
OOC: I was more hoping people would rp individual characters and interact with each other, i'm not planning to rp every event, that's just a framework to base dicussion on.
Falastur
22-11-2003, 19:39
OOC, OK, I'll send along some people for the fun of it....I'll also have a leader, probably a PL and maybe one or two (at most) others I can RP with if we do so....

IC Falastur would like to send 2 patrols of 8 lucky Scouts, winners of a national competition over all the lands of Falastur. Each patrol is mde up of 4 girls and 4 boys, between 12-16. Naturally, each patrol has a PL and an APL. The group has a troop leader and an assistant troop leader, and the whole group is accompanied (if it is alright with you) by a Delegation from the Falasturian Scouting Association, as well as a few Official Falasturian Ambassadors, (who go to virtually every international event that Falastur attends).

We can also formulate a 3rd and 4th patrol, (OOC if we need more patrols.....), if it is asked or we think it would be beneficial.

Chief scout Lucius McDougall watches on as his favourite campsite begins to fill up. He sees a large delegation from Daistallia arrive and then two patrols of another nation. Wondering how many of these leaders joined the scouting movement to be outdoors like himself or whether they just joined as they had nothing better to do.

"Frederick"
Servant rushes up,
"Yes Sir,"
"Send a message to the leaders of each contingent inviting them to a dinner on sunday night."
22-11-2003, 20:27
PL Robert Dunlop was puts in the last peg of his dome tent when some foreigners walk past.
He overhears: "Beautiful place this,"
"Yeah, guys aren't bad either."
Thinking he might be in with a chance he smiles over at the visitor and makes a mental note to talk with them later before getting back to ordering his minions about the site.

Let the festival of friendship begin. One parent is quoted saying "No weapons allowed? What kind of crappy scout camp is this?? We're taking our kids to Camp Raysia."
22-11-2003, 21:54
we dont mind the occasional bb gun but we didn't want any murders at our camp. We said no weapons to prevent sword weilding warriors coming and wrecking the camp

we dont mind the occasional bb gun but we didn't want any murders at our camp. We said no weapons to prevent sword weilding warriors coming and wrecking the campWell aren't scouts supposed to be trusted...? Or are these not Boy Scouts...

Either way, just change it to "No weapons are to be brought from home" or something like that... because every scout camp I ever went to had at least archery and BBs... some even had Rifles and shotguns.
22-11-2003, 22:02
we won't change the wording but will confirm that we might have some gun activities
22-11-2003, 22:11
We will send Crew/Troop/Team X-18 to your camp... they are the pride of all of our scouting copetitions in Zarahemla... all 36 of them are on their way... be warned, they are a little... above average...

*A transport ship is inbound*

Ryan Lutz looked out of thw window of hi home, wathcing the bright flash of explosion in the country side. The air attack alarms hadn't gone off yet, and he was mesmorised by the flash of the impact. Behind him, a duffle bag was packed with his camping goods. He was the last survivng member of the Colonial Marine Corps Junior Platoon Leadership Group. The others handn't died, they had just gone off to fight in the Markov war. He stayed, he was to young to join, and now he was off to some scout camp.

He walked away from the window. All for the better. He lived close to one of the bases, and the sudden attack meant it would be good to get away from home.

OOC: When are we gonna start?

A civillian hypership enters the atmosphere and does a quick fly-by of the campgrounds.

It's about 0700 hours, with a bright sun on the rise. A scoutmaster points down at the ground as the ship comes descends towards a meadow near the parking lot. "That's our spot, sites 32 and 33... Scouts and Varsities, you guys get 32, and Ventures you got 33 all to yourself, try not to blow anything up!"

The 12 older scouts roll their eyes and jump out of the ship before it touches down, with repulsor boards under their feet and backpacks on their backs. They skate through the trails to their claimed campsite, and they all lightly argue over who gets what tent. The Venture Girls picked out their tents on the far side of the campsite... knwoing well they would probably get pranked on by the boys.

The Hypership touches down and all the younger kids help to pull camping equipment out of the ship. A few of the parents flying the ship just set the Older scouts stuff in the meadows, with the message to "come and get it."

Not too long after, the Hypership takes off, with a few kids waving good bye from the meadow.

At about 0800 the older scouts walk down to the meadow and carry the heavier Campsite equipment back up to their tents, and set up a cooking area.

The troop begins to make breakfast.

X-18's Total numbers:

Camp 32:
15 Scouts (10 Boys, 5 Girls)
9 Varsity Scouts (7 Boys, 2 Girls)

Camp 33:
12 Venture Scouts (7 Boys, 5 Girls)

Yes, the girls are with the guys at the campsites, seperate tents though. Immorality just isn't a common worry... even though the Adults still sleep off in other tents.

Henk spots another notice. *Here*s another one. Why don*t you have a few cadets go by the pool.*
24-11-2003, 17:51
Susan Cameron walked down towards the pool, lifeguard since the age of 16 she had a brilliant, slimlined body and golden blonde hair, a main attraction down at the pool. She couldn't wait for the beginning of the camp, a truely brilliant spectacle.

OOC: surely someone else wants to join?
