In a bizarre turn of events, the Orange Party has won the first ever elections held in Roania. Their candidate, Alysanndra Ellestrea, is the second elf in history to be elected to power in a human nation. ((The first one was Nidien Sebrith, whom Alysanndra sort-of reviles for unelflike behaviour))
She managed to attain a shocking 75% of the popular vote, followed by Humphrey Appleby, with 12%. Humphrey is, apparently, going to remain head of the home civil service. Xavier Henries mysteriously disapeared into a dark alleyway last night, and hasn't been seen since then. Alysanndra will be sworn into office later this week, when the Prince returns from holiday.

Empire of Gradenk hopes the relationship with Roania will certainly take a turn for the better under Alysandra's capable hands.

The Prince arrived, reading a readymade speech. "Okay. Now, who is Grand Vizier?"
"It's Alysanndra, Your Highness." An aide whispered.
"Really? Okay. Tell her to arrive at the palace tomorrow, I'll name her Grand Vizier, and we can get to work."
"Why not tell me yourself, Your Highness?" Alysanndra stepped out of the shadows. She curtsied.
"Um... okay..." Alexander coughed. "Well, congratulations, Lady Alysanndra. You are Roania's new Grand Vizier."
"Whatever you say, your Highness." She laughed.
"No, call me Prince Alexander." He coughed and pulled out a list of documents. "As Grand Vizier, you'll be dealing with these problems." He turned around and began to head back towards the palace.
