Press release
Only a few days (RT) into it's creation and the Internal Security division of the Protectorate underscores it's need. As it makes the first arrest in Roania of a suspected traitor. The Council had little to say on the matter as the young Captain was led into custody, only that this person was suspected of links that might lead high up and that the matter was under full investigation. To further heighten this need a full Legion of Vaul engines has been directed to Port Aqua.
Farseer Mel'Nais has also been directed to the state to personally head up the investigation. In a statement to the press she had this to say, 'We are here partly of course to ensure Tor Yvresse interests, but also because this conspiracy may lead to a direct threat on the Princes life, we honour our commitments to the people of Roania and the protection we offered them.'
Further news as it breaks.
((OOC Ro I know you don't know of any such plot... TG me everyone else this is exactly what it says on the tin.))

The Room was dark no sound, no light penertrated this far underground, the young Captain had no memory of how he got here, or how long it had been. He didn't know why he was here, only that he was suspected of being a part of some plot, a plot he knew nothing about. The door opened with a slowness that seemed almost deliberate, the Metal scraping acoss the stone worked floor, and the Blinding light from the corridor outside streamed across his eyes, this was the first time he would se her, but not the last.
'Secure the room, ensure nothing is being recorded.' the whisper was almost unhearable as more men entered and searched both phiscally and mentally the room was secure. Only then did she sit down in front of the Captain and speak to him.
'We know you are a part of this, we know you for a traitor we want names, if you provide us with the names we seek it will be easy on you, I can make your stay here most enjoyable.' As she spoke she weaved a simple pattern and new images entered the mans mind, he was not in a darkened room but a Rolling field, deep in the countryside. The sun shining bright over head., next to him was a Woman they had met the night before and one thing had led to another...
Then as suddenly as he had arrived in this other place it was gone ripped away from him and he was back in the Cell, but she had not finished weaving. 'Or I can make it more terrible than anything yo have felt before.'
The room shimmered out of view once more, now he was deep under the ground his flesh slowly being pealed from his skin as one peels an Onion each new layer of Muscle and bone exposed was prodded and pulled before they went deeper, and he screamed, and screamed.
Once more he was pulled away and back untouched in the room. 'Now then the names.' was all she said as she looked at him.
'I don't know what you mean, I have no names.'
'Wrong Answer.'
His Scream filled the room, and again he was pulled away and again she asked. 'The names.'
Later
A Scream dying the man was broken a mess yet untouched his mind was shattered, but his flesh unmarred. Now began the process of putting his mind back together. 'I want to tell you, but I cannot remember, I cannot remember...'
'Mon-Keigh minds are so fragile, but don't worry we will remember the names together. Let us start Then you can tell us what you planned, and how you avoided the Inquistion for so long.'
Paradise once more, the woman by his side, they talked for hours and slowly it became true in his mind, he would stand before any and say what he was told and believe it in his heart. The council had a lot of work ahead of them, it had only just begun.
The Inquisitors made their report to Richelieu. "A Socialist group, claiming loyalty to the deposed Rasputin Macchiavelli, is currently operating... according to the pitiful wreck we are keeping in the dungeons right now." He smirked. The torture devices in the basement would have made a Dark Eldar scream in terror.

Three days later more arrests followed the first, this time higher ranks where targeted all where arrested due to information recieved from the first young Captain who even now was shown on Television sets across the country in tears as he confessed his sins, saying how he had sinned against the Lord in both Thought and deed. How he had tryed to corrupt officers below him away from the light and how he had seen the error of his ways.
The arrests continued for many days, each brought into the same building and in time all where seen by Mel-Nais, all recieved the same treatment. The Spread of corruption ran it seemed deep, but the Council would lift it out. Soon it left the simple military forces, and moved into other branches of the Governemnt, and into busisness sectors. In almost any area of government that would be needed for a successful coup Traitors could be found, but none more so than in the Military.
A new question would of ourse emerge how had such a conspiracy ran so deep and been missed? In Tor Yvresse-Mars the Media followed the matter with much interest, one program late at night would open a can of worms and soon the idea spread.
Council Watching TYM Special affairs program
'So Dave what do you think opf the Roania situation, we all know of the skills the Inquistion has in these matters, but does it not seem strange that now with a Council investigation such a conspiracy could emerge?'
'Indeed, your correct their are only two possibilties I can see, either the inquistion in Roania is in on it, which is very unlikely, or someone in the Government is, someone high up able to grant protection and safty to the traitors. In the second example the fact the Internal Security agency answers to the Council would explain why it was found now, the Protector can't help them I suspect therefore in the next few weeks to see Arrests that start leading to a Cabinet member of the Prince very soon. That is unless violence erupts first, as the Traitors get desperate.'
OOC: Ah, you're trying to get rid of Merrech. Sorry, no dice. Merrech wouldn't support RM. Remember, Rasputin did try to kill every single elf in Roania...

OOC Ro, check again their is no real conspiracy but I can work with the Socialist angle.... After all maybe a few Agents thought they where fighting for a different cause. A False Conspiracy to hide the real... After all the council can shape the minds of the Broken shells anyway they like, and not one has a mark on them.
OOC: Okay. I don't pretend to understand it, but...
by the way, here is the election thread. Alysanndra is the Grand Vizier.

OOC: Okay. I don't pretend to understand it, but...
ooc Cool, don't worry your not suppossed to yet I have been planning this move for some time, of course new needs got woven in but... more tommorow. However a short answer Power it is all about Power. Oh and your Motto of Darkness needed to fight the Darkness, the Council is showing it always knew that.

Several weeks had passed and the list of those arrested was huge, details of the Conspiracy where starting to emerge, and where passed on. Indeed although at first many had thought to be working in some Socialist agenda it soon became apparent that they where fools, they had been tricked used as puppets by some deeper agency.
Still the Arrests continued although now they where slower to happen, the suspects being higher placed, it was late on one such time when the home of a General was kicked in, the men moving in where being supported by Gaurdians, and the mammoth form of a Phantomn Titan stood outside the General's home, to ensure no one interferred.
'General ((Insert name here Ro I need a name)) we are placing you under arrest for crimes against Your Prince and the Protectorate.'
He was led away in deep shock behind him his wife and children could be seen, in tears, as the family was ripped apart. In their hearts they feared they would never see him again, that all that remained in front of him was execution... They where almost right, they would see him one last time before the end. The Web the council was spinning had yet to reach it's final target, although it would soon be time to start the first of the trials.

I understand that trials of suspected inssurectionists in Roania are due to begin soon, perhaps in the interests of impartiality, you would care to have them hosted here?

Although I very much doubt that there will be any hope of you believing this message, perhaps you ought to consult with your council on the matter, I assure you, I detest those particular Mon-Keigh more than I do your people.

The Counsil was in confusion, the offer seemed a genuine offer but it's source was not to be trusted. This ment that if one could see the Dome of Crystal Seers they would see a rare sight every Farseer on Tor Yvresse was gathered and all pushing themselves to their maxium more Runes than had ever been assembled floated around them, giving insights into intentions finnally a laugh.
'The Yngir is speaking the truth, he seeks, a little repayment for a insult. Well then let it be so, we shall hold this Trial in his lands, in his courts.'

'We agree to your offer and thank you, the first prisoners shall be transported as soon as you are ready. Thank you.

We will trust you in this matter Yngir, the runes show no falsehood from you, this comes as a surprise yet opens up other strange possibilites, if you do as you say, then maybe other things can come of this.

Many thanks for your co-operation, I am certain justice may be served. Arrangements are already being made, I believe Grand Duchess Shurba van Vogt, whom I believe to be familiar to you, will be available to oversee the trials. Your prisoners may be delivered to the star/gravship port of Vedansk at any time you see fit, half an hour's notice per hundred prisoners would be desirable however.

The first of the transports where loaded, and the prisoners began the transport towards Vedansk, the shattered look on the prisoners faces was one of resignation and defeat, although all seemed in perfect health. Rapidly the vessel disappeared into the atmosphere and began the journey.
Secret message
Indeed, a guilty and execution verdict is what we seek, the method to be painful but merciful at some point.
End message
Now the investigations went into overdrive the General that had been arrested had led to the Cabinet soon the meetings would lead to that place also. A list of suspects was quickly drawn up, and the eldar began for the riskest part of their operation. More Vaul Engines where transported in, and Aspect warriors, they did not suspect anyone to take this as simply as others had.

Colonel Daniel Hirsch watched the faces of the Roanians through a set of field glasses as they were unloaded from the typically sleek eldar vessel. "They just don't care do they?" he asked the woman standing next to him, introduced several minutes ago as Samara Neja. The dark haired woman turned and looked at him, with curiously detached sapphire eyes set into a cold face, "I would be surprised if they even know where they are," she said matter-of-factly. In reponse to a small beep she pulled a small device, about two inches in length, from her pocket and attached it to her cheek, where a temporary skin-binding solution held it in place as she headed down from the control building's upper tier, speaking into mid-air, "Yes sir, we have acquired the goods from the Eldar, there have been no incidents so far."
"Excellent work Samara," answered a voice from the other end, "make sure they're properly cleaned and disinfected," said the voice, with a sinister chuckle.
"Yes sir, as you wish," she said into the mouthpiece, also chuckling at some cryptic joke.
"I shall arrange for the trials to begin in several days, do any of them take your fancy?" asked the voice.
"No, not really," she replied, glancing through the glass windows of Vedansk star port, "a fairly motley assortment from what I can tell."
"Oh well, a shame for you."
"I'm sure I can entertain myself some other way sir," she said, "Neja out." She removed the communication device from her cheek and pocketed it again, smiling, a cold and ruthless smile, she had much to do, and she truly enjoyed her work.

Late that night, Telev Prison, Samara chuckled at the screams coming from the hallway, where the prisoners were being introduced to the joys of showers, bathing and indeed, water in general. Roanian hydrophobia was a great source of entertainment for those who knew about it...
Despite being an enhanced humanoid, she still had normal requirements, sleep, food - slightly more than normal in fact - and other such needs, she looked at the long line of sodden prisoners being removed, looking for one to play with tonight, a rather unfortunate fate, but given that she'd been instructed not to leave any marks, they'd survive...
Meanwhile Ilene Vashon, a compatriot of Samara's, although less of the sadist, still a dangerous woman, was concluding a day long series of meetings in the city of Norcendrol, the Confederate capital. In truth, the only thing that kept the capital here was tradition, few people lived there, and little industry was carried out.
"And so, your honour, I and several others have been appointed to the bench for the duration of these trials."
"This is most unusual..."
"It is of great political importance that these trials are aranged just so," she held up her hand, the thumb and forefinger touching, "and the consequences could extend much further than you know..."

The Trial
Dar'vitas the Lawyer chosen by the Council themselves had every right to be proud, chosen for his talents at public speaking, of leading a room full of people to his way of thinking, in many ways he was a better public speaker than a lawyer. Yet for this case the public where more important than the actual matters of law, the result was fixed, his job was to bring the public around.
'Your honour I will open this case simply, the Prosecution intends to prove here today beyond any doubt of a conspiracy aimed at the legitmate authority of the council, by members of a conspiracy larger even than those suspects here gathered.' A pause in his speaking, normally at this point the Eldar would be reaching out, to feel the minds of the room, to see how his wspeach was recieved but here, he could not. Here the Yngir that secretly ruled had installed devices to prevent that simple use of his gifts, still there where simpler means to do what he wanted to do, methods used by Lawyers across the Galaxy, he studied faces, then he resumed with small tweaks to his tone, adding emphasis at certain points, all in an attempt to sway the viewers, more than the Judge.
'One that reaches throughout the entirety of the local government, indeed one only made possible by the widespread corruption. We will show through both evidence collected at the scene of arrest, through the testimony of the investigating officers and through confessions by the accussed themselves, that this act was one of deep Macivellian complexity. aimed at one simple goal the removal of the rightfull rule of the Council over the protectorate state, and the destruction of our forces stationed in Port Aqua.'
another pause and slight shake of his head as if disgusted by the thought. 'Ten Thousend Soldiers are stationed at Port Aqua, these Traitors where plotting to kill them all, to slaughter wholescale Soldiers who have done nothing except defend them from harm. To kill people that have bonded with the local community and been a part of the very city for years, all in a desire for their own power. They know no, concepts of honour and duty, only their own power. This I shall prove.'
