Status of West Nile Virus: Not in country.
Status of Cholera: Not in country.
Status of Influenza: Moderately Common. Easily treatable.

Summary of the state of development of vaccine-resistant strains: Moderate development. Government making efforts in progress to lower occurence is good, but needs improvement.
Notes: With the new funding of tax money, medical facilities and the biohazard community are finally getting the assets needed for advanced research. Over the last five years, increases in funding has led to the erasure of smallpox from the public, strides against HIV and other uncurable diseases as well as progress against ebola. Unfortunately, this has also led to four examples of viral evolution within the ebola strain making it airborne for approximately 18 hours. Measures have been taken to secure these samples and are kept in a Level 5 biohazard containment area.

Chronic Diseases

Cancer: Most types curable, others treatable.
Diabetes: Easily treatable.

Medical research is making strides in this area and it is hypothesized that high blood pressure and heart disease are likely to cease to exist within the next ten years.

Psychiatric Disorders:

Schizophrenia: Very, very rare. Treatable with drugs and counseling.

Percent of total population obesity due to disease: 1.4%
Average Bodyfat percentage, male: 9.136%
Average Bodyfat percentage, female: 16.782%
Notes: Strict allowances on meat purchasing due to recent epidemics of Mad Cow disease has reduced the overall obesity and overweight rate within the nation as many people are unable to buy significant portions of meat. Good health has been emphasized by the government and steps have been taken to ensure public compliance. Incentives are given for good health and sever penalties are imposed for obesity and being overweight if not through disease. this usually comes in the form of extra taxation or mandatory PT with local military units.

Government Healthcare Policy

Description:
The Agnostican government is persuing a course of private practice with government intervention where necessary. While doctors are allowed to practice at will, they must first pass extra stringent certification programs before doing so. Once in practice, they are monitored to ensure compliance with government mandates and laws. Comprehensive health coverage is availabel through the government for those without or opting out of commercial or corporate health insurance, covering everything from major surgeries to prescriptions.

No government role in health care outside of sponsoring programs at Royal Standard University in Ianapalis and the University of Gadsan in Lakeriverwood. Large medical interest groups often ignore the masses to service wealthier sectors of society. In rural areas, 'small-town country doctors' abound, though their technology is far inferior to modern practices in the large cities.

Description:

Healthcare is carried out by doctors in both public and private practice. A government operated insurance company provides for those who cannot afford to pay for treatment and medication themselves. However, private insurance companies are allowed, even encouraged, to operate in direct competition to the government insurance company.

I'm sorry to say that we really don't know. We compete for budget expenses with the board of education so whenever we try to collect a survey we get ambushed by groups of high-school teachers clutching sharpened rulers. It's gotten to the point where we have to threaten them with an outbreak of GigaDeath Virus before they let us leave the building.
