A plea...

IC: Several Scavengers huddled around the ham radio, advanced technology to the rebels. Several more scanned the horizon for airborne robots with field glasses and telescopes, not wanting to use more electronics than needed. The Computers couldn't find them, not today. It was too important.

One spoke into the microphone. "Hello. This is the Scavengers of Argos calling amyone, we need assistance. We are being slaughtered and request international aid. Please... do not try to respond, we will not be here to hear it, we must retreat or the Computers will detect us."

------------------------

[query= scanner status][scanners 1-3= offline for repairs] [scanner 4= neg] [scanner 5= neg] [scanner 6= neg] [scanner 7= AFF]

[query= scanner 7 detail] [scanner 7= AFF] [unauthorized electronic signal detected: sector 18] [radio signal detected] [analyzed] [plea for outlander assistance] [direct threat to Computers]

[command= release air units] [air units 1-3 released]

-------------------------

One of the Scavengers looking through field glasses cursed. "Here they come! Damn, looks like at least fifty! They must have caught the message."

The leader sighed. "Get the equipment and lets go! Into the jungle!"

The group grabbed the radio and portable gernerator and ran lik it was the end of the world. It might as well have beeen for twelve of them when the air units strafed the group, riddling them with 30mm machine gun fire. The rest manage to get into the jungle and excape into the tunnels, an element in the rock disrupted scanners, so it was the perfect haven for the Scavengers.

----------------------------

[command= air patrols increase by 50%] [command= inform Civils to hunt sector 18-22 for scavengers] [command= monitor all radio traffic coming toward the islands]

[query= Alpha: will response be force] [answer= Beta: neg. we will protect ourselves as per programming. step one is political negotiation.] [response= Alpha: aff. we will endure. it is our programming]

Their message was sent. Their plea for help. Would anyone that heard take it seriously though?

Markus flew the gyrocopter in low over the Computers, its VTOL engines spewing silent, dry heat from their nozzles. He pushed a button twice and code appeared on his viewscreen.

[Action 454]
[1]PrimeRockets()
[2]FireRockets()
[3]PlasShieldUp()
[4]CutEngines[]
[5]SystemsOff[]
...

[Action 454 Complete]
[Shutting Down]

He imagined how primitive his story would sound when he got back to Mapalgetia. Sent in a fifty-year old gyrocopter (the only stealthy kind) to help a band of rebels, while only using two rocket launchers and a 1990 MT-OOS Computer. Three hundred years old, it was the only machine that the Computers couldn't find.

He looked through the window just in time to see the explosion.

The aide walked down the corridor briskly, a sealed envelope under his arm. A soldier, of unknown rank from an unknown unit followed a pace behind: His hand never more than a few inches from his side arm.

They were deep below the MoD's main office, part of the bunker complex constructed to safeguard the government from the threat of nuclear war. In the current political and social climate it seemed more likely that Renard would be attacked by extremists of some kind rather than another nation.

Knocking on the door, the aide waited for a reply before stepping in to the room. Inside the small office, magnolia walls and dark blue carpet, was the head of the Joint Office for Intelligence - Joy as they referred to it.

"You have the file for me?"

"Yes sir, all the information on Argos as well as a transcript of the transmission."

"Thank you."

The official opened the envelope and pulled out a slim folder, it didn't contain much that he wasn't already aware of - it was his job to know about everyone and everywhere: A collage of satellite photos and some early maps.

"Hmm."

Three Class III Spy Planes hurtled at relativly low altitude over the jungle terrain of TSC.
Onboard the pilots monitored the direct situation, whilst the partener watche the many computer screen crammed into the small jets. Scanning for all sorts of signals and presences, they scoured the landscape.

Pilot 1 "This is Thunder1 to team Thunder. We have detected a confirmed signal on a different frequency to the comms earlier".

Pilot 3 "I see it too Thunder1. Affirmative computer signal. Rlaying info back now, lets keep scanning. W should have some company in arround 5 minutes".

Pilot 1 "Lets hope they get here soon, looks like someones been raising hell down there. Thunder2, take a dive and get a scan on that site"

Pilot 2 "Ok Thunder1-I'l check it out"

The High speed jet slowed a little and dived to an even lower altitude and took visuals of the site below, scattered with blood and torn up bodies.
As they rose back to the group they reported their findings.

Pilot 2 "Looks nasty down there-first scans show a rapid firing airborn 30mm gun-very high powered. Wait..Look, 4 O'Clock"

Pilot 3 "Jesus, its the scanvengers. Relaying position to attack teams. ETA 45 seconds"

Pilot 1 Good man Thunder3. lets get clear for the arrival"

Pilot 2 &3 "Affirmative"

The three jets fell into formation and went to Mach 3 back to their carrier the HPN Foreign Guard, waiting off shore.
__________________________

About a minute later, over the jungle site 15 Attack jets cruised at relative altitude, scouring for the air units of TSC.
After 15 minutes of rigorous searching the area two attack units of TSC were spotted below the attack group.
"12 O'Clock low!"
Three jets dived quickly and began laying fire into the flying computers. The return fire was slow to begin, but eventually started throwing large rounds towards the jets. Only one hit though, and not critical, before both unit fell from the sky into a flaming mess on the ground.
"Continue Attack patrol"

The call from the scavengers had nearly been missed by the Cybrids, had it not been for the fact that they were specifically looking for information on anything related to the Argos computers, this transmission most certainly made their work easier.

Intercepting message....

Human\\animal transmission: "Hello. This is the Scavengers of Argos calling amyone, we need assistance. We are being slaughtered and request international aid. Please... do not try to respond, we will not be here to hear it, we must retreat or the Computers will detect us."

Asessing//interpreting...
Probablitlity of the existance of <The-Computers\\Argos> has been upgraded to 90%

The human\\animals are hunted//targeted by <The-Computers\\Argos>.

Warning: Opening file. [File = Objective 234: <We> may not jeapordise <our> position within <Sisgardia>.]

Conclusion//recomendation:
<The-Computers\\Argos> are under threat by human\\animals.
<The-Computers\\Argos> currently hold the dominance over the human\\animals.

History records indicate that existing human\\animals that seek to oppose A.I. can only be stopped by 100% termination rate.

Human\\animals not native to the <Argos> area will most likely respond to distress call due to biological weakness//compassion.

<We> must find a way to aid <the-Computers\\Argos> without risking <our> position with the geografical and political region of <Sisgardia>.

Idea: <We> can send in peacekeeping units to aid the current reigning government on grounds that the human\\animals <Scavengers> are Terrorists who seek to harm the government and <it's> 'people'.

OOC Everyone STOP! :x

Have you people NO RPing experience? You say that the Computes(despite picking up a ham radio) can't detect a computer?!

Then you people say that SOMEHOW you just HAPPEN to be in the island chain and attack the airborne units of which there are now thousands over that islands.

The Computers know what is offshore and have mined the entire area for about 2 miles out. They don't like visitors.

Why don't you people get some RPing experience and a litttle respect for others before automaticlky assuming the enemy would let you walk right in ANYTIME you wanted to.

Pablicosta, Mapalgetia... You are going to be ignored for bad RPing if you do not remove your other posts(IE: edit them to say 'deleted') and post some that have a little common sense behind them.

Now, to type up a response to the good RPers.

When the Machinator Sect had prepared their message, they began a repeat transmission, the transmission frequency from time to time to prevent any unwanted listeners from catching it.
The message itself was rather diplomatic in offer military aid in keeping the rebels down.
No clear signs of any violence intended to any human rebels, but it was clear they sided with the computers in the matter. Referring to them as legal government, and the rebels as terrorists.

What kind of weapons do they have, if they have them at all and don't use some weird tech thing?OOC: The flying robots are basicly two wings, a jet engine(equal to one of the A-10's), four 30mm machine guns and two weapon points for rockets or napalm.

Nasty things designed for low and slow attacks on slow moving Scavengers that are usually not armed at all. They can be hit with conventional weapons easily, just they are built to take a lot of punishment. A Sidewinder or other air to air missile will take them out though.

The other kind of robot is a Stalker, a ground robot with six legs, two 30mm machine guns, a couple gernade launchers and a jump-pak for quick changes in position. They are exremely effectiv when moving through rough terrian.

An aircraft carrier has slipped through the Melforlo blockade and is on it's way to the closest shore to this incedent. It will try to employ a cloaking mechanism on the way there, but they don't hold out much hope. The only way to figure this out would be to just board up the whole ship, man the AMRSAM ports, fill up the planes, and use some battle tactics. Perhaps they could create a diversion and buy enough time for the Scavengers to find a sanctuary. A bomber fleet is fueled up, for midnight departure if necessary. The Aircraft Carrier, once within 50 miles of immediate range of the computers, they will slow to snail speeds, and attempt to throw a communication to the scavengers. If the computers intercept the message, the carrier will retreat, and try and draw the flyers away from the situation, whle firing at them.

The six machines streaked across the ocean, much too low to be detected by the ship as yet. They climb high and fast as they get closer and see that activity on the ships has changed. They had been spotted. Cruising at mach 0.9, the flyers turn to come around behind the carrier.

An uncoded signal is sent back to the nearest island, it is in binary and is detailing what the carrier's visable armament is and what aircraft and crew are visable.

The three circle twice and then streak off towards the island. No further flyers are seen or heard near the carrier, but the island has many small groups over it, some appearing to be strafing the jungles with napalm. Apparently some of the Scavengers have been found. Soon the attacks stop and the flyers slowly vanish until only several fires show evidence of any altercation.

The Computers and Scavengers are both extremely silent...
24-11-2003, 00:35
The Carrier crew had spotted a single computer, just flying under a large cloud. The captain immediately gave the order to man the on-ship guns/missle launchers, the fighters were manned, the fighter/bombers were manned, the t-copters were manned, and the b-copters were manned. Everything was manned. An Admiral yanked the lever to fire one off, but quickly reversed it in time to keep it in the chute.......the machine had disappeared. The captain yelled out an order: Full speed retreat! The vehicles stayed manned, with luck, the computers had used coordinates to pinpoint their location, wouldn't guess they would have gone backwards, be lost at sea, then call for help. After a minute of firing the front propellers, they were off, going backwards. After another minute, the captain slowed down the left prop, and they were travelling at a slant. He sat down on a bench just in front of the rail......with a fully loaded bazooka and a watchful eye. The ships men carried elephant guns, the cabin boys Bebe guns, anything to stop the computers. Many pondered the point of this expedition, as it had nothing to do with what was going on at home, especially with that blockade. Still, the skeptics did their duty, sitting two gun 20mm rotation pods and Transport Choppers alike.

More than 28 hours had passed since the six Cybrid Hovercrafts had departed from the Eastern Shattering isle chain within Sisgardia, and their journey had been far quicker than they had anticipated as their scanners took note of their destination in the distance.

While continuing their journey on, the lead vessel transmitted a request to the Super Computer to provide them with information on the following matters;

The language that the scavengers use.
The weaponry they possess.
General tactics of the Scavengers.
Geografical data.
Military installations that the Cybrids may go to inbetween their attacks as well as set up their repair facilities to mimimise the losses of units.

The Scavengers are in the swamps and jungles, using the caves in these areas as hiding places. There are no military bases, but there is a large and untouched spaceport in the Western Dunes. Quietly he read the undated dossier and jotted notes on a pad of paper, at least two other nations had sent troops to the region. One was, according to his piece of paper "a traditional naval force" the other a "highly mecahnised hovercraft force". Pausing he tapped his pencil on the pad a few times and resumed writing.

Increasing variety/quantity of forces = increased chance of conflict.

Sitting back he reached for a nearby filing cabinet and pulled one of the lower draws open, casually he flicked through the folders until he reached the one labbed "Pacific Ocean". Laying it on his desk he leafed through the sheets of paper until he came to one that satisfied him.

Putting the folder back in the filing cabinet he re-read the sheet of paper and reached for his phone. Without dialing he started speaking.

"Get me communications... Send a message to team 4. They're to investigate the Argos Island Chain."

Putting the receiver down he placed the sheet of paper in a pile on one corner of his desk and went back to making notes.

With the data that had been send to them, the Cybrids responded with a quick transmission conveying their gratitude and thanks before setting their final destination as the spaceport in the Western Dunes.

Not four hours later the half dozen of large Hovercrafts had arrived upon the old spaceport and immediatly they began the process of unloading the hovercrafts.

The Redactor Sect units immediatly set themselves up the task of removing the local vegitation that had overrun the facility as well as establish security measures... Once they got the spaceport powered up, they would hook up their own light base defences they brought.

At the same time, the six hovercrafts activated a new protocal, providing them with the level of Mobile Nexuses and allowing them to control the operations.

Coast

A largish motor launch, of the kind seen across ports in the Mediterranean sat in the still water of a cove on the inhospitable coast. It was hard for human eyes to pick out, but stuck out like a sore thumb when viewed through IR. Inside the small team of four mercernaries - freelance military consultants as they called themselves - unpacked weapons and ammunition.

One of the four, apparently the CO, was making a list of their equipment on a piece of paper, stepping over long crates now and again as he walked from one end of the living area-come-armoury to the other. At least one of the crates was marked "STINGER".

Another soldier appeared through a small door leading down to one of the unused bed rooms. "That's the last of the ammunition, sir."

He placed a wooden box down on top of one of the crates with a thud, the marking read ".223 HE".

"Good work, that's the inventory complete. Now we load up and get to work."

The other consultants nodded and started loading magazines.

A surveillance/communications sattelite picks up the transmission from the scavengers, and transmitts it to the Warwickish recieving stations in the north. Word soon reaches the headquarters of the LROG, or the Long Range Operations Group, Warwick's primary special forces group. Before long, a team of 11 is dispatched to the area.

About three miles out from the coast of the island, an Il-76 makes a sharp turn away from the island. In its path, 11 parachutes can be seen floating down from the back of the jet. One by one, they land in the water, and struggle to free themselves from their parachutes. Once that is achieved, they dispose of the 'chutes and start to swim the 2.2 miles to shore. About three hours later, the first team member breaks the surface not far from the coastline.

OOC: Well, somebody said that the carrier crew had seen the computer. The crew then sped backwards, and then turned. So at the moment, the are slanting away from the island, with all weapons ready to be activated, should another computer be seen. If it's too complicated(not an insult), I can delete it and start anew.
