Yes, the Prince has finally decided to give the common people a voice... sorta.

The bizarre and byzantine regulations regarding who can vote and who can't boil down to this:

*Must be either a member of the Professional/merchant classes or an aristocrat of some sort.

*Can not be a government employee.

There are several more rules and regulations, but those are the important ones.

Pros: Actually has some policies that were not spoonfed to him by his fellow party members.

Policies: Increasing government size, increasing military spending, turning Roania into a dominant power in the region, maintaining strong ties with Menelmacar, becoming a member of CENNA, yet retaining chemical weapons for defense purposes.
Pros: Is well liked, by the other people in government (and isn't that all that matters?).
Cons: Cares more about government then the people being governed.

Age: Who knows?
Policies: Increasing government size, diverting funds from military and business towards education and health, joining CENNA, increasing ties with Menelmacar, opening more government positions to the public and elves.
Pros: Her policies are quite popular, and many elves see her as a useful balance to Merrech's maneuverings.
Cons: Said Archmage wants her to die, Kelly is concerned that the Prince might like her a bit too much...

Xavier: My position, and the one I am sure the Prince would adopt anyway, would be armed neutrality, supplying both sides with weaponry, and allowing flyovers of our airspace. If the most powerful alliances on Earth wish to go to war, it is our duty to make whatever we can from it.

Humphrey: Perhaps going to war against GDODAD members in our immediate region, beyond that would perhaps be beyond our current means.

Allysandra: Should Elentari Sirithril order a war, I would advise the Prince to join the battle, as would half the council. Order must be defended.

What is CENNA?

Xavier: A drain on our nation's limited resources.

Humphrey: A vital peg in our security.

Allysandra: The alliance revolving around the Eternal Noldorin Empire of Menelmacar. Our most important alliance, and one we should join immediately.

By having stronger ties with Menelmacar, what would happen? What is to be expected...especially how would this affect the common people?

Xavier: They would have to bear the brunt of stronger taxes, and more military interference in our lives.

Humphrey: I hardly see how that matters.

OOC: They've been there for months if not years, they'd be in the inquisition by now. And the button would be out of sight somewhere... Assassinations are usually blamed on the local govenment.

Well, for one thing it would be fairly obvious, given that you:

A) Are the only one who's supported Appleby to this degree.
B) Have a history of doing this sort of thing.

Beyond that, given the capabilities of Menelmacari intelligence, especially within what is effectively a puppet state of the Empire, I highly doubt your assassins would even survive to get out of the country, let alone to ply their deadly trade again in future. From there, your time would be short indeed.

But I have my ways. Basically I dont do showy "OMG LOOK AT THE ASSASIN RUNNING ACROSS THE FIELD TOWARDS HIS TERGET" over complicated plans. I pretty much try to find the most subtle, highest success rate plan that wont attract much attention.

OOC: That's actually an interesting name...

Xavier Henries: Slavery is a vile, evil thing, and should be destroyed at all oppurtunities.

Humphrey Appleby: #1, it's not slavery, it's 'progressive workplace reorganisation in which the employees recieve alternate forms of compensation than wages, such as being allowed to continue demonstrating vital signs', and #2, whatever floats your boat. I think that Roania should only act within a duly reorganised framework, perhaps under a CENNA or likewise flag.

Allysandra Ellestrea: Yes... slavery. It's a foul thing, yet many times a necessary thing, such as when the nation can not afford to pay it's workers. There are many benefits to slavery, the slaves are kept healthy and well fed, but... the downsides outweigh the upsides.

Xavier Henries: That would require us to actually sponsor terror in any form. Order must be maintained.

Humphrey Appleby: Elentari, we have never engaged in extramilitary operations overseas outside of war.

Allysandra Ellestrea: If there would ever be a time it happened, I would stand against it. But, so far, it never has, and that would be a matter for the Prince and the Minister of War. Grand Vizier is just the chief advisor, not a Prime Minister. Of course, the post carries with it a great deal of power... but I would dislike having to test its extremes.

What are your opinions regarding religious freedom?

XH: That's a matter for the Prince.

HA: I have no specific policies on it. So far, it's never come up. I, certainly, have never met anyone with a religion off of the approved list within Roania's borders.

AE: It depends. If it's a subversive movement, I would advise to Richelieu that it be banned, and its practitioners exiled. I would also 'request' that the prince eliminate the Religia Certifica, and allow people to practice what they would.

What are your economic policies, especially regarding taxes, property rights, regulations on business, and economic freedoms?

XH: The council as a whole formulates restrictions. Personally, I think that taxes should be lowered, and control over big business be increased so that it can't throttle small business.

HA: Taxes should be increased, in order to maintain and increase our many schools, military, and PHS. However, failing that, we should certainly begin privatising the health service and the schools. Roania Pharmaceuticals already runs them for us, so I don't see how it would change.

AE: The current system seems to work quite well.
