Less than a year after the Xanthalian republic granted Talmaraan VIII and Than IV independence both have become embroiled in civil conflicts. Talmaraan VIII has come under attack by the Talmaraan V based Trasnians, and Than IV has declared war on it's sister planet Than VI, which is still a Xanthalian planet.
Talmaraan VIII's government is now in the process of being taken over by the Trasnian pirates, and the Republic must now decide what to do about Than IV's attacks on Than VI.

The Socialist Republic of Xanthal has declared war on Than IV in response to it's organized attacks on the Xanthalian world of Than VI. The war is expected to last approximately one week.

The Corporate Dominion politely suggests that these warring factions be united under the Xanthalian flag again. However, it appears that would only increase problems, so perhaps we could help in some way.

IC: The Republic does not need assistance in crushing an enemy so weak as Than IV.
