Competitive League Idea
Okay, so I would start two new regions. Then as people joined, they would be in either Region A or Region B (in search of a better name). You will be put in one of these two regions based upon the following:
1.) Your economy listing (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29122)
2.) Your civil rights/political freedoms: I'm not sure how many ratings of each there are, although we could just do a simple 1-10 (or however many there are) for each.
3.) Your population
4.) Your daily UN rank
Now every day you might be able to move up the charts and even jump up into Region A, or fall down the charts into Region B.
Now, basically we would rank all of the nations by each category, and then just combine the rankings to get one grand ranking.
Basically, the object of this would be to rank first....
Would anyone be interested, or have any suggestions?

An intriguing idea. I might send puppet nation Jaurania into it, for Kaze Progressa remains firmly a part of FIFA.

its a good idea, but i dont see the point in having to move regions all the time, itd be just as good if you just kept a list of whos in what division
Well, I thought that it would be interesting to have it so that you could get up to the A region quicker than having it updated only like weekly or something...
As soon as we get 10 nations, I will start the region..

EDIT: Ohh, I understand what you're saying AS. I guess you could just do that..
Maybe I could have a rule saying if you slip into the B rankings and stay there for like 4-7 days, you have to move down to the B region and the opposite.

I'm not sure if everyone knows what this is all about, so here is a deeper explanation about it quoted (by me) from another thread.

What I tried to do when coming up with this idea is make it so it's NOT like any regular region. See in NS the Delegate goes to the person with the most endorsements, right? Well, in this (region) league of 2 regions, it's not so easy. To have that top nation at the end of the day, you would have to have an increase in your economy, a large population jump, or other nations falling.
As well, the purpose of the game for this league would be to sit on top of region A and try not to drop down. I'm sure this will not be very easy for even the most populated, economy driven nations..
Another difference is that "average" nations will have something to strive for-- to advance to region A and stay in it....

I have started this region and if you are interested, join the "
League of Advancement Region A".
After we get a few members, I will start region B of this league and start filling nations into it.
Soon, I will start a website for this league, and every day (or couple), I will update the standings..
