As the church continues to intertwine with state
RNN Report:
The Raysian council has finished a draft of a bill that very well may become law very soon. This bill, known as the "Morality Act" will outlaw many things wihich the church considers immoral.
Among these things, which will actually now be charged by prison time, are:
Prostitution
Marital infidelity (sp)
Homosexuality
Publishing pornography
Downloading excessive amounts of Pornography
Even selling/purchasing pornography
Vandalism of church/government property
Public desecration of sacred objects
Public Indecency (nudity or overly revealing clothing other than on the beach)
Brainwashing (Non-medicinal use of drugs or technology to change someone's way of thinking)
Civillian distribution of any drugs (other than pharmacists or stores that sell approved drugs like Advil)
Also, the following may be met with severe fines:
A male and female living together outside of marriage or family
Yelling loud profanities in public
Offensive gestures to any government officer
Advocating Illegal drug use
Public harassment or demonstration against Government people or actions.
If this bill passes, which it most likely will, it will go into effect immediately.
-----------------
In other news, another bill being brought before the Raysian council is one that would allow for low-flying light civillian aircraft. If this passes, many businesses will have all sorts of new possibilities. Many of Raysia's tall buildings in their big cities that house tens of millions of people, have already been equipped to work with Zeppelins and other derigibles, and now the civillians with superb pilots licenses want permission to fly through the airspace above the streets of the cities, between buildings.
The council will pass this as soon as a meams is prepared to control the air traffic. Already, talk has begun of installing floating or hanging guidelines to indicate flow of traffic and specify altitudes at which pilots may fly.
The council's only peeve with this bill is that it might open up a window for a new form of trouble in Raysia... air Pirates.
That's all for now, more to come as we receive information.
Good night!

We support these policies and have recently implemented similar ones as our own, achieving a pure nation. We will be happy to assist with any difficulties encountered along the way.

We've had problems with some radicals doing this as a way to convert people to their religion.
We are against this. In fact, why do you ban "Brainwashing" while you commit this yourself? So hypocrite.

Another form of brainwashing could be to consciously suppress information contrary to the beliefs of the ones in charge in order to warp the minds of the general populace into your own sick design! J'accuse, Raysia!

J'accuse, Raysia!I do not know what you are implying, but Brainwashing has clearly been defined in this case.
The implications are severe. The nation of Scaraba condemns the "Morality Act" for not only trampling upon recreational activities enjoyed by many, but trampling on basic human rights. A person has the right to do with their body what they wish, and if that means ingesting massive amounts of narcotics and having freaky sex with 6 beautiful women out of wedlock, then SO BE IT! Scaraba extends a welcoming hand to any citizen of Raysia who wishes to throw off the shackles of religious intolerance and outdated morality. We will accept all refugees, so long as they do not have a history of violent crime.

...wow...
Perhaps you would be a better judge of our laws if you knew our society and culture... such things you have suggested have been taboo and rejected by society for a very long time. Morality is something many many many people in Raysia hold dear.

There remains too substantial a grey area. Disagreements will remain as to what constitutes a medically justifiable practice for a known disease as from normalising a person's thought processes.
Consider, for example, whether or not your definition of using drugs on a person for brainwashing would also include the prescription of anti-depressant medication. When this is analysed it is considered that the use of anti depressant medication to make a person less unhappy with the world is not too different from using medication to correct a person's flawed understanding of truth.
Guilder Channel's objection stands until any such legislation includes an express exception for medical purposes to clarify at least this issue.

Approved drugs may be prescribed by pharmacists... I stated that in some other part of the new bill... also, remember that that is not the whole bill, it is just a News Report's summary.
We have this law in place because several months ago a group known as the Karakists began to bring drugs and brainwashing machinery into Raysia to try to forcefully convert people to their religion, which requires partaking of sacramental narcotics... this is what is being outlawed.

The phrase is "prohibited beverages". It ought not to be understood as making prohibited alcohol and caffeine where they are not prohibited. It makes no sense that the line is included, as the sale of prohibited substances is prohibited by the definition of the term??
Guilder Channel agrees that the line ought to be deleted.

Guilder Channel agrees that the line ought to be deleted.I think its quite clear... if your business is caught selling contraband, then your business will be met with a hefty fine.
We in the Rouge Nation of North Ireland wonder what these Raysians hope to gain from the ultra oppresive nonbeliever ways. What do you hope to gain through this protestant regime? We hope that your people make the right choice and place a person of Catholic origins in office, for the safty of your nation and the good of your people.

The legislation does allow the use of approved drugs, but denies the prescription of drugs deemed to change a person's way of thinking. While anti-depressants might not be banned.
A substantially more effective method would be to prohibit promotion of blasphemy, sacrilege, or the corruption of god fearing persons.

So, just because we're not Catholic, you accuse our goernment of being oppressive and our people as being non-believers....
I will just say this; "You don't know our culture, and you guys are too stupid and ignorant to see that Raysia is a very theocratic nation. We will never have a catholic in office, for they make up only 3% of our nation. We do not recognie minorities as having significant power... we give them rights and treat them fairly, but they have no political power."

Does the line seek to make alcohol contraband or penalise the sale of contraband?
It makes no sense to ban the sale of banned substances, which are, as the term implies already banned.
