Federal Republic News Network:
Strategic Command Reduces Alert Status of Nuclear Weapons and Long Range Strategic Assests

"For the first time in nearly a decade Strategic Command has issued a press release stating that all strategic military assests in the form of ICBMs,Bombers, and TBM(Theater Ballistic Missiles) were standing down from their readied alert status. Citing a lack of a credible nuclear threat anymore against the Federal Republic of New York and New Jersey the order has supposedly come from President de los Santos. The only assests which were not placed on stand down alert where the Ohio class SSBNs on deterent patrol. The Press Secretary for Strategic Command in Huntington, Long Island assured us though, that for the forseeable future, six Ohios will never be deployed again, reverting to a pre-alert status of two per deterent patrol.

The move comes as the Federal government begins to reasses domestic and international threats. Everything from SATO involvement, to involvement in other nations affairs is being re-examined as President de los Santos plans to visit several SATO countries to determine whether or not the Federal Republic has any common ground with its allies anymore. The call down in the nuclear alert status, does not however affect the alert status of surface, and submarine vessels out on patrol. The Federal Navy reports that currently only the 2nd Battlegroup of the 1st Federal Fleet and Amphibious Warfare Group 2 with a total of 6,400 Federal Marines are deployed overseas currently, while the other Fleets and the 1st Battlegroup is docked and awaiting orders."

Communists win small victory:

"Upholding Federal Law, the Court of the Land, has ruled that the Communist Party, like other political parties has a right to exist now that tempers have cooled and the threat from the Red Brigade is no longer existant. The Federal Army having declared victory over the Red Brigade militia sometime ago, the Court ruled with a majority of 6-5 that the Communist Party was no longer an internal threat to the nation. The voice of opposition however claimed that the Red Brigade spawned from good intentions under the law and that allowing the communist party so soon after the 2nd Civil Conflict would only invite further violence in the plains of New York and New Jersey.

It remains to be seen just how many people will actually joined a reformed Communist party."

Federal Ford Motors Announces Layoffs

"Citing a slow down in sales and in exports overseas FFM, the largest automaker in New York and New Jersey has announced it planned to lay off 1,200 factory level and 200 corporate level jobs in the 1st Quater of the New Year. FFM CEO Bill Kessen promised however that 70% of the jobs lost in both levels would be temporary and dependant upon how FFM did in Q1 and Q2 of next year. Other automakers are expected to follow suit with similiar layoffs as New York and New Jersey searches for expanding its trade horizons outside of the WBO and select few nations outside of that."

Stocks Fall!Trading Suspended!

"With news that the GDODAD has reformed, Wall Street was instantly thrown into a panic causing investors to sell. The only real winners today were in the defense sector as Federal Republic Combat Systems,Bath Ironworks, and Lockheed Martin all saw stock prices surge forward from 6% to LMs 8.4%. However the surge in the defense sector did not stem the tide in all other sectors of trade. Starting at 12,450.24 points the market climbed 37.65 points as the news of the reformed GDODAD hit the stock floor. The panic caused by the news saw stock prices fall and the Dow Jones fall almost 3,000 points to 9,674.54 when trading was halted for the day at 3:10 pm.

Economic Advisors for President de los Santos were unavailable for comment, however it was announced through the press secretary earlier that Wall Street would be closed tomorrow as well, and will reopen for buisness on Monday. The amount of money lost has not been calculated however it is believed to be in the tens of billions..."

Strategic Air Command back on Alert Status 3-
"Going from AS5 back to AS3, SAC has placed the entirety of the Federal Republic Nuclear arsenal on alert ready status. Officals at the Federal Air Force were not available for comment, yet through the Press Secretary General Henry A Arnold announced that the development and procurment of the STO-1 Sky Heaven Anti Orbital Missile System would change gears. Rumors of a new class of SLBM have been confirmed and SAC which has limited access to naval SLBMs has announced the Demios class of SLBM. The new SLBM is slightly more costly than the current version of SLBMs in use with the navy. However unlike the Triton II which carries a nuclear warhead the Demios carries a neutron warhead.

Our requests for a listing of vessels carrying the Deimos SLBM have been denied as classified information.(OOC Info:No SSBNs carry the Deimos yet)."

Re-evaluation of SATO Membership Placed on Hold
"It was announced late this afternoon shortly after the stock market stopped trading that a Senate committee had formed for the sole purpose of reevaluating membership in the Military Defense Alliance known as SATO. Citing differences with the way foreign affairs were being delt Press Secretary William Flores announced that the 7 member Senate group were told to place their investigation on hold for the time being. President de los Santos is expected to make an address to the nation sometime Sunday. It is expected that he is going to call for greater solidarity with SATO and greater integration of military forces with SATO.

Polls conducted among 1,000 people show that only 53% still favor SATO while 45% disapprove of continual participation in SATO. The poll has an error margin of +/- 3%."

Bombshelter Construction Set to See Surge
"Using the motto 'Protect Your Family,Preserve the Republic' dozens of bombshelter construction companies around the nation are preparing for a wave of people to buy shelters. GDODAD credited with having started 3 New World Wars has sent the population into mild state of paranoia and across the entire nation lawns and backyards are being dug up to construct the underground shelters. The shelters can run between 40-50 thousand dollars on average with the more expensive ones running up to 140 thousand which provides the shelter which shock absorbers and a deeper underground shelter.

The shelter craze has even hit elected officals as New York City's government contemplates construction of 10 massive underground shelters capable of housing 45% of the entire city in case of a nuclear attack or air raid. For the other 55% of the city, smaller shelters are planned throughout the city. Construction however has yet to start on any of the projects."

President de los Santos departs on Tour

"Today President de los Santos departed from JFK International aboard Republic One with heavy fighter escort toward the SATO nation of Syskeyia. Beginning with one of NYNJs longest standing allies, President de los Santos is scheduled to stay an entire weekend plus alittle more into a week in the massive nation. When asked why the President was going out on tour Press Sectretary John Kimbal said the following 'President de los Santos is visiting several SATO nations in a show of unity with our brothers and sisters in arms. He wants to reassure our longtime friends that we have no intentions of abandoning them.' It is rumored that President de los Santos threatened to resign if the Senate ruled that further participation in SATO would not benefit NYNJ. Those talks were recently suspended in the face of renewed aggression from overseas."

RAS and Uniden Avaition Corporation of NYNJ sign contract

"Twp big air names have signed a multibillion dollar deal which would have RAS(Republic Air Services) buy and lease close to three dozen 767s from UAC. UAC has announced it will increase the staff at several factories today after strong profits were reported in Q2 and Q3, a slow down is expected in Q4 however anaylsts predict that in the first quater of the new year the health of the company will once more take a rapid jump upward. UAC and the Federal Air Force are currently in talks to build several hundred more F-22 and F-35 fighters, news that an agreement was close at hand has sent the stocks predicted value when trading beings again on Monday as high as a 5% increase."

Federal Naval Radio:
Keeping you close to home...

This is Federal Naval Radio your host Jack Davis here bringing you news and entertainment from Earth to Charon. In this hours top story the Merchant Fleet of 20 MacArthur class Transports have left Earth Orbit carrying a total of 60,000 Ground Pounders for the New Huntingon Mars Colony. The four mechanized divisions and their equipment are being sent on this first wave, with the Carriers Empress Sirithil and Saratoga bringing up the rear on escort duty. Both Carriers are also acting in limited transport form delivering inital supplies to set up military complexes on New Huntington.

In other news the death toll from the battle in orbit over Earth has reached its first inital estimate with a total of 24,920 naval personel and 14,000 marines. This is not counting the damaged vessels lost in orbit. This marks the largest loss for the Navy ever and the single most deadly day in Federal History. However the battle has been deemed a strategic victory as Keyhole Satellites passed over the remains of ADK as the dust finally settled down enough for satellite imagry to work effectively once more. Millions have been reported dead as Vice President Generosa along with top military officals announced the openning phase in the war against Abu-Dhabi-Khristian.

This is a reminder to all forces, all leave has been cancelled. If you are in the Federal Reserve please contact your last military posting for instructions on what you need to do. On the lighter side, rumors of President de los Santos's task force being jumped by ADK warships have been unfounded, President de los Santos is alive and well and the FRSN Battleship Glorious Heritage have reported spotting no enemy warships.

This is your host Jack Davis, and your listening to FNR, Federal Naval Radio, bringing you news, sports and music to nearly half a million sailors, marines and gropos, ground pounders to you civies, from Earth to the Kupier Belt. President de los Santos has given the order for 5 Infantry Divisions all of them active units to be deployed from Earth to Mars following the deployment of the 4 Mechanized Divisions. Federal Television News Network:

The openning shot is of a group of soldiers standing around chatting with each other in fully combat dress and and holding guns.Soon after that camera image pulls back to show a military base located in rural Pennsylvannia with thousands of troops assembled and moving enmasse toward a nearby airfield which had transports taking off toward an even larger transport. The camera operator is unable to get the whole picture so he pans the shot from right to left starting with the front and ending with the back. The hull of the ship is painted with the Menelmacari Military colors. The shot panned over toward a middle aged anchorman dressed in combat gear with a helmet. In black lettering on the front was PRESS," This is Peter Thurgood with FTNN,I'm here at Fort Twilight with the 28th Infantry Division. It came as a surprise announcement but we've been informed that three Menelmacari Military Superhaulers will be carrying us and the four other Infantry Divisions plus equipment. Its been like this since four in the morning when the base was first put on alert,an hour later these transports showed up and its been hectic ever since. This is Peter Thurgood reporting in from Fort Twilight FTNN."

At two other military bases this exact same process was repeated as the three Menelmacari Bulk Haulers were used with the permission of the Menelmacari government. Such a large shift in forces hadnt occured in the Federal Republic in decades. The Army was preparing for an engagement unseen since the wars with United Indiastan over two centuries ago.Two of the transports were filled to the brims with equipment and troops, while the third had tons of gear, reserve equipment. One reserve tank division and another reserve infantry division were stripped of equipment and put on standdown status. This equipment was a gift.

Federal Television News Network:

Once again the camera was the first seen, the Martian landscape dry and forboding windsweeping through the majority of flatlands with the hint of massive settlements in the backround. The familiar face of the report was seen, however this time the reporter was in closed battlegear for his own protection from the enviorment of Mars. It was a complicated piece of technology but by no means expensive as they were widely produced for Earthers to visit Mars. In the backround of the reporter troops could be seen setting up sand bags and planting the Federal Flag.

"This is Peter Thurgood, reporting in from the Red Planet with the 28th Infantry Divisions new Headquaters. I'm not able to tell you exactly where we are deployed. The two massive Menelmacari Transports dropped us off sometime at 6:45pm Eastern Standard,Earth time. We arent alone however as troops from the Mechanized Divisions which were deployed earlier have been seen in the same general vacinity as this one...it appears as if the invasion into the land known as ADK Mars will begin promptly. When that happens I'll be right here with the 28th bringing you live coverage of the events."

In truth none of the Infantry Divisions or Mechanized Divisions were anywhere near ADK Mars. They had been moved, shifted, out of Menelmacari holdings and south into United Indiastan holdings.Only two of the three of the Menelmacari transports arrived at United Indiastan though, the third appeared sometime later in Os Sanglants carrying with it equipment and munitions for hundreds of pieces of equipment. Onboard the third transport was 300 billion dollars in gold bars with a note attached to the chest(t-gram),600 M60A3 Patton Battletanks and 200 M4A3 Jumbo Shermans(76mm guns). The tanks like all Federal Equipment deployed to Mars had been sealed to protect against the outside elements and to keep the occupants on the inside comfortable, well as comfortable as one could be inside of a tank. With the tanks came 100 Soldiers from the Federal Republic, advisors to isntruct the pirate nation in the use of armored warfare.

"This is your host Jack Davis and your listening to Federal Naval Radio,"A small chime and chorus of three voices saying FNR and then Jacks voice once more, "Keeping you close to home...I'm transmitting from the New Hope Naval Station, on Mars. We've just gotten confirmation from brass in the navy that a battle has taken place at the edge of the Solar system. Details remain sketchy at the moment however, it has been confirmed that several warships of the Charon Defense Fleet were damaged in combat. Other confirmed reports indicate that several intruder vessels were destroyed...hold on..we've just gotten word from out field reporter Yvette Johnson, out on Charon with the 5th Army Group..."

The radio cuts out to a staticy transmission and the sound of a females voice.."This is..Yv..e Jo..son..." After a minute of silence things cleared up once more..."explosions rocked the small moon shortly afterwards. Surveying the damage first hand, it was easy to see that whoever launched the attack didnt have adequete intelligence..reports from Pluto indicate that the prison facilities on Pluto have been struck by oribital fire and chaos has broken out on the small planetiod. MPs from the 5th Army Group, already on alert for threats from the outside are gearing up for the small hop...I'll keep you updated when we get some more concrete information..."

"Thank you Yvette. We will continue to keep you covered on this msatter whenever we manage to get a new piece of information. Next up on FNR radio we talk with former Fleet Admiral Henry Cardozo, currently head Administration at the Naval Officers Training School.

King de los Santos has personally signed Order 45, for you greenboots and dry shoes, Order 45 is the prelude to a declartion of war. It authorizes any and all armed vessels of the FSN to engage targets of the specified nation, or nations at a Captains will. The target which was specified in Order 45 has been announced, brace yourselves folks, Abu-Dhabi-Kharistian...didnt we nuke their country awhile back? Some people just dont learn I suppose. Its time though we show ADK the meaning of cold death. Go get'em Navy!
