In the city of Salta, the capital of the Mezoprincapala nation and the Mezoprincapala Catholic Church, the stundered Church that split with Rome over papal elections so many centuries ago, no longer political, the split had been pushed even further by bloodbaths, slaughters, cultural changes of epic proportions, and a bitterness on both sides that had tainted all hope of reunification, but each and every last Pope-Apparent had tried to set things right and Pope-Apparent Ali VI was no exception.

But like all the others he had failed. He had sent a good friend, Cardinal Perry to the Unification Meeting in Pantocratora in the hopes of finding a means to heal the hurt between Salta and Rome, but Perry (like so many others) saw no hope and recommended that Ali go to Avignon to be crowned the One True Pope. Ali looked out a stain glass window upon St. Elizara's Square which could hold over 250,000 people during the Holy Days when Pope-Apparent Ali VI would bless the pople in the name of the Lord, "Am I doing the right thing?" he thought as he overwent the simplicity of the proposal. He would announce that the Roman Catholic Church was corrupted by Satan himself and beyond all healing, save by the Good Lord's alone, and declare that he would go to the Mezoprincapala Catholic Church in Avignon to be crowned the first True Pope since 1417.

Ali thought of the all the thousands of people that had died in the chaotic 25 years after the Schism from Rome and all the thousands that had died in the infighting over the many centuries afterward, and now for only 50 years had a time of quiet come between the few Roman Catholics and the many Mezoprincapala Catholics in the nation. His being declared the True Pope over all the True catholic Churches of the Earth would set off a bloodbath unlike any other, perhaps even a Holy War between Mezoprincapala and Rome.

Ali knew however he had no other choice.

All citizens of Mezoprincapala in Teritora have been turned over to the Teritoran Inquistion on charges of Heresy as have the few Mezoprincapala Catholics. It it is supected that all members of the Mezoprincapala Catholic church will burned at the stake as Heretics if they do not recant their heresy. Of course if they are not Heretics they will be set free and be free to leave.

I can' to order them to do anything, I have no authortry over the church or its soldiers but from what I have heard is that everyone from the preists to the church soldiers to the chruch knights, to even the ship crews all Volunteered to go even though they know they will likely all die.
