One of the talking head news anchors that seem to be in every nation looks at the camera and reports the shocking news emotionlessly.

"Today in the city of Myer, Crimmond's corporate stronghold city, has ben attacked by terrorists. Some of you in Crimmond may remember their name... The Sword of Faith. A religious terror group, bent on taking control by killing all dissenters." As she speaks, the tape shows the view from a dropship, military craft swarming above the city while grey gas is seen rolling through the streets. "They released several hundred pounds of virillium gas, a rare and extremely deadly chemical weapon that shuts down the flow of blood to the brain and causes intense pain before death. The entire northeastern quadrent of the city is now being sealed and 1/2 of the northwest quadrent is being zoned off as well. A mass evacuation for the remaining half of the northwest and a three mile buffer beyond the seal is being set up."

She pauses and pictures appear of the city almost 30 years before, half the size. "32 years ago, the Sword of Faith destroyed the stock market in a string of timed suicide bombings over the period of 45 minutes. Six weeks later, the entire leadership of the Sword of Faith were dead. The snake was beheaded and the group was assumed dead. Now, they have proven they are not and have also made history as the first group to ever succesfully set off WMDs in Crimmond's borders. As yet, there is no comment from the capital on this incident, except a promise that there will be a press conference held as soon as Lord Reil Tian returns from a conference."

She continues on, listing the military units deployed, how to find out if family members were still alive and the like. Along with it was the pictures showing the heavy, ground hugging, gas slowly reach the seal, stopped by the solid wall that had been put up. Soldiers begin to ignite the highly flamable gas with flamethrowers, watching it flare up and then die out as the mix of flame and virillium gas used up the immediate area's oxygen, causing the flames to die after a few seconds.

Liverpool England sends its condolences to the families who lost loved ones, and pledge to increase their war against terror. The Presiden, Erfin Caws, also advised any LE citizens in Crimmond to watch out. The nation offers any aid possible to Crimmond, in its terrible war against terror.

OOC: Terrible war against terror? Many ways to take the meaning of that LE... lol I'll assume it was meant as supportive though.

IC: The Crimmond government thanks the government of Liverpool England and assures them there are few citizens from their nation in our lands, a result of the decades long border seal, and most are in Skye, the capital.

A public announcement goes over the radio:

"A great injustice has been done! Such a horrendous attack should not be met with inaction, and we know Crimmond will act strongly against these barbaric foe. Bajon offers itself to Crimmond in this time of need. Medical Aid, Bio-Teams, Pre-Fab camps for the evacuees, and of course, a promise of military assistance are sent to our old friend.
When a great nation is hurt, he must stand strong with allies supporting him."

Dropships are loaded with supplies, tools, teams, and other aid related things. They immediatly dissembark for Crimmond. Special Forces Teams are also assembled if Crimmond should wish for military assistance.

On behalf of Queen Victoria, her government and her nation, the Royal Commonwealth offers its prayers and support to you and your people. Such a dastardly and cowardly attack against noncombatants is a horror, and those responsible should find no rest in any civilized nation.

The RCO and its dominions are prepared to send supplies and support at your request. We are also agreeable to helping find these villans. However, we do ask Crimmond to provide some information on this regard.

1.) The Sword of Faith - the report mentioned they are a religious terrorist organization. Do the government know, or have any guesses, about what religion they claim allegiance to, whether now or in its earlier appearance?

2.) Also regarding the terrorists - does the government know why this organization has targeted Crimmond (i.e. are they home-grown, do they hold some grudge, etc.)?

3.) The virillium gas - do you have any idea how the terrorists got a hold on such a weapon? Do you know what nations or regions may produce the gas or its component chemicals?

4.) Also regarding the gas - do you have any knowledge about the longevity of the gas (i.e. if/when it goe inert after release)

5.) While admittedly preliminary, does the government know if the terrorists may be in league with any nation-state(s).

It was the major religion of one of our provinces for about a decade.

2.) Also regarding the terrorists - does the government know why this organization has targeted Crimmond (i.e. are they home-grown, do they hold some grudge, etc.)?They are regretabbly home-grown. They have held a grudge for many more years than Crimmond has been around because of nuclear attacks in Europe towards the end of WWII by the Russians, who became Poland and, after the civil war which destroyed Poland and set up our government, Crimmond.

3.) The virillium gas - do you have any idea how the terrorists got a hold on such a weapon? Do you know what nations or regions may produce the gas or its component chemicals?We are not sure how they obtained the weapon, even more so how they got so much of it. We do know of one nation, name withheld, that has produced it and they may be evil and underhanded, but they abhore terrorism and hunt terrorists down regularly.

4.) Also regarding the gas - do you have any knowledge about the longevity of the gas (i.e. if/when it goe inert after release)The gas remains active for at least a week. Enough time to cover the whole city 10 times over.

To answer TSRN's question, virillium gas exposhure causes death within twenty minutes if exposhure, even if the effects are stopped, the lungs are destroyed, the stomach lining gone, the brain permanently damaged, nervous sysem totally fried and the victim in constant agony taht cannot be stpped... death is a relief to those exposed.

We offer our condolences for the deaths of you citizens and strongly condemns this terrible crime.

15 hours have passed since the attack. The press conference begin with Lord Reil Tian stepping up to the podium. He speaks calmly, face complete devoid of emotion. "Imperium citizens, allies and enemies watching around the world, I know you have been waiting for our response this attack in Myer.

"The initial death tolls have come in. Over 123,000 are dead. No wounded, no survivors. Among those that are dead are two of my advisors. Chitty Winbeck, of the PR department, and Lady Lara Tian. My head advisor of foriegn relations and my sister. She was the heir to the Imperium and my only living family." He stops talking and looks at the cameras. "If any of you have a problem with bloodshed, or have young children. Turn off your video monitors now and leave them off for ten minutes."

He waits for about thirty seconds and continues as a door opens and a man is led in. "This man is one of the Sword Of Faith terrorists. His only reason for still being alive? He was caught seconds before he could release the virillium gas."

The man is led up on stage and left standing, shackled. He stares defiantly at the cameras. Lord Tian continues. "You are charged with attempted mass mureder and treason against the Imperium. How do you plead?"

The man looks at Lord Tian and nods. "I have done what you say. Because I am of the Sword of Faith. I care not for your laws or justice system. Let them lock me awa- ARRGH!!" Even religious zealots scream when they find a sword has just sliced through thier neck.

Lord Tian holds the sword steady. "Who said anything about the justice system?" Hepulls the bloody sword away, the terrorist crumpling to the floor dead, and turns towards the shocked reporters. His look swould be comical on anyone else at any other time, but his eyes held a cold fury. One which even the most ruthless of leaders would think twice about going against. "I address this to the Sword of Faith. I will do anything and everything to avenge the deaths of the hundreds of thousands you have killed today. I will make you pay for killing my sister. I will mae you pay for the countless years of suffering you have put on the families of the dead." His voice ha been steadily rising in volume to where it was just short of shouting. "You are the Sword of Faith?" he holds up the sword, blood dripping of it. "Meet the Sword of Vengence."

He stares at the cameras for several minutes, calming himself. "Revenge is said to be a dish best served cold. I have never been one to eat cold food though. I will destroy your terrorist organization and all of it's members. If it causes another civil war, so be it. If it causes world destruction... so be it. If it will be the end of the universe if I destroy you, I will do it. You have my word on that..."

Lord Tian steps down and walks out. Not one reporter dared to ask a question of him as he did so. They were just glad not to be in front of those eyes any more.

We are currently tracking who we believe to be some of the leaders of the group. We hope they may lead us to the others. Their history matters little, as they are now part of the Cult of the Cloud. IC: "Um....." Vice President Aireserkeiel looked into the camera glare and tried not to shiver. But the shivers were not caused by the cold, but from the report she heard. "The Technocratic Republic of Adejaani sends its condolences and offers support. Biohazard teams, paramedics and other medical/scientific personnel stand ready to analyse and try and combat any new attacks. Further, the 2nd (Land) and 5th (Sea) Special Forces Brigades are standing by to render any assistance to hunting down the evil people that did this."

No aid is required. The city of Myer is quarentined. Noone is allowed in or out without express permisiion from the military. All other major population areas have been placed under martial law and checkpoints are prevelant. All civilian air travel has been banned and the airlines are having their cargo searched.

Liverpool England is willing to help in any way, as you may have been told by my press secretary. I will personally travel to see the damage. WE are also pleased to inform you that we have caught a member of this cult at our airport. However, he will not give anything away. Recently LE passed a law [ooc: issue] saying that people who dont give information will be executed. Does the Crimmond government wish to interrogate him?

Response to Bajon: The terrorists will be hunted down under the old laws(from the first ruler), as no replacments were ever inacted. The state that 'if a terrorist act is taken against Crimmond, every member and supporter that can be found is to be dealt with to the full extent of the law, excluding any furure edicts concerning espionage against Crimmond citizens.' Our intelligence services and military are gleefully inacting plans to destroy this organization. We also wish to thank Bajon for the ships that were sent, but we can only take the supplies your people have brought. We will not have these terrorists bring harm to another nation. News Report: The entire northwestern portion of the City of Myer is now declared 90% gas free. It will be several weeks before the quarentine is lifted though, as to be sure the virillium has indeed has gone inert.

The death toll brings more bad news however, reaching 210,500 so far. This is the most civilian casualties since the Founding War. That was over fifty years ago and lasted a decade, costing 7,000,000 civilian lives.

News Report: The city of Myer has been declared gas free. The deathtoll is now confirmed at 267,112. One of the terrorist leaders has been killed in a raid in downtown Skye, which alkso killed fourteen other terrorists, near where there were large quantities of virillium gas, waiting to be released. That gas has been removed and destroyed and there is no danger to the capital at this time.

Each major population center is being searched for any trace of gas, but no more has been found at this time.

In keeping with His Omniferocity's well-known dislike for terrorists, the EOE External Security Department has been authorized to cooperate with Crimmond's intelligence services in the form of sharing EOE files on all known or suspected terrorist groups.

The Republic of Tiburon, in its ongoing Project Meteor, will comply with Crimmond's request and will send Mobile Suits to combat any terroristic threats there... but will request the nation to allow for more freedoms, as its motto clearly states.

OOC: Tiburon, I ignore all types of mobile suits, gundams, robotech on the grounds that a flying mech is just stupid in my opinion.

News Report: In the Slovokian mountains, a small town has been cleared out. 1 in 3 of the population was a member of the Cult of the Cloud. There have been no more terrorist attacks, but there has been an unusual amount of border runners fleeing Crimmond into surrounding lands.

The entire leadership of the Cloud and the Sword of Faith are now declared dead and now the military is working on breaking up the residual diehards.

On Mars, the Cult of the Cloud is being destroyed in record time, but so far no virillium gas or Sword of Faith connection has been made. Lord Tian made it clear that all of the terrorists and allies must be destroyed.
