Southern Wastes, Soviet Wastelands.

A Land Ironclad under the flag of the Wasteland Confederate Army (rebel faction operating in SteamEarth), moved quickly across the hard, dry ground of the Southern Wastes. Signs of poor maintence and crude repairs showed well, a small metal plate fell off as the machine bumped its way across rough terrian.

Men armed with rifles and gatling guns sat on the machine's roof, most if not all were grateful for the cool breeze which made the ride better under the hot buring light of the midday sun. Up ahead was a small settlement, the Land Ironclad slowed its pace and brought its guns to bare.

Men dismounted the Iron beast as it 'opened up', spraying the small settlement with thousands upon thousands of bullets. Screams issued from the wooden huts as the soldiers moved forwards under the Land Ironclad's covering fire.

The soldiers met no resistance as they searched the entire village before setting alit to the buildings. They lead their captured aboard the Land Ironclad before moving onto the next settlement.

Imperial War Offices, Serlin.

Commander-in-Chief Charles Bates sat at his desk staring at the reports in front of him. He poured out a glass of brandy which he then placed on his desk, he then turned to face the officar standing in front of his desk and said. "How many settlements?"

"About two dozen sir, the WCA raised them to the ground."

"Blast! What are the WCA up to now?"

"From our reports sir, they appeared to be moving northwards towards Klatch."

"What forces do we have in that area?"

"A grassion of around 500 men supported by two Land Ironclads sir."

"And what about the WCA?"

"Well....-" The officaer looked uneasy. "..if our reports are correct.....nearly 1500 mean with a fleet of 12 Land Ironclads mostly captured from us sir!"

"Dammit, get me the Regent. Tell him we've got a civil war brewing."

The city of Klatch was taken by the WCA quickly and swirftly, the 500 strong grassion had to choice but to surrender to an army which clearly outgunned and outnumbered them. The city's two Land Ironclads became part of the Wastelands Confederate's Landfleet.

General Hamms was quite pleased, the battle had been won without a single shot being fired. A few more 'victories' like this and the WCA would be marching in on parliment in Serlin. A colonel came up to him with some reports. "Sir, here are the reports you asked for."

"Thank you comrade, this is a good for for the WCA!"

"It sure is sir. Thou I think the government of SteamEarth will be on the defensive and won't be taken by suprise so easy."

"Comrade you concern is noted, but I believe the Commander will disagree. He knows that it'll be a matter of time before SteamEarth crumbles."

OOC: Do you have to have steamtech or will normal tech work in this RP? If it's the later I'll join in.

OOC: Well SteamEarth and the WCA are both steamtech (the WCA captures the government's stuff), thou it doesn't really matters.

You're all free to use whatever tech you like apart from WMDs and what have you.

BTW the WCA should be a small rebel faction which usually raids the trade routes and never goes into the big stuff, the reason why they've started a civil war will be told later.

IC: President Gabriel Jewell angerly slapped the buzzer off before picking up the phone. "What is it?" He growled into the phone.
"Sorry to wake you Mr. President, but we've got some kind of situation brewing in SteamEarth. General MacLeod is on his way right now to brief you sir."
"Understood, tell the guards to let him through." Now wide awake Gabriel hurriedly dressed and headed to the conference room. General Brian MacLeod was already waiting for him and extended a hand to his old friend. "Sorry to wake you Gabriel, but things are starting to look serious in SteamEarth."
"No problem, now what's the situation?"
"It looks like a civil war is begining to brew up. I know that normally we wouldn't bother with an internal affair like this, especially since there is little of interest to us in the region. However, we had a small embassy located in Klatch. At 0100 hours they reported the city was under attack. After that they went off the air and we haven't been able to restablish contact."
Gabriel massaged his temples. "This is not a good time, between the DSM conflict, our commitment in Iceland, garrisioning our various bases, plus homeland defense we're rather stretched right now unless we want to start calling up the reserves. What do we have in the area?"
General MacLeod look down at his datapad. "Not much I'm afraid, we've only just begun establishing a base in the area. Black Horse Base as of now only has a couple of wings of F-28s, and a battalion of the 623rd Armored Calvary. The good news is that they have their entire air transport component, so we can transport what we do have. The next nearest force would be the 53rd Fleet under Admiral Collins. They have and amphibious task force assigned to them, but it will be at least two weeks before they can get to the region."
Gabriel rubbed his chin in thought before answering. "OK, contact SteamEarth's government and offer our assistance. If they accept deploy one company of the 623rd with a squadron of F-28s in air support plus however many transports they need to keep supplied. The remaining forces will need to stay behind to secure the base. Also divert Admiral Collins to the area. And have a full report ready for me on the situation by 0700 hours." Gabriel yawned. "Excuse me, until then I'm going back to bed."
"Yes sir, I'll have SteamEarth's government contacted immediately."

Regential Edmund Vermillion sat reading through the latest reports, the WCA was massing forces and was continuing its march northwards. Its Landfleet was now rumoured to contain 36 Land Ironclads, mostly captured from his own forces. The Iron Guard and the air force were preparing to engage the WCA when they reached the 'Gateway to the Wastes' or Death Valley as the valley leading out of the wastes was known.

There was a knock on the door and a young clerk walked in, "Message from Grimdale sir." He said handing the leader of SteamEarth a piece of paper.

Regent Vermillion read the piece of paper and replied. "Tell Grimdale that we accept their help. Also get Bates in my office NOW!"

The young clerk quickly left the Regents office.

OOC Go ahead.

The first objective given the 3rd Company of the 623rd was retaking Klatch and discovering what had happened to the embassy personnel there. At 0900 hours the air over the city was filled with the sound of jet engines as C-94 transports and F-28 Raptors flew overhead, finding a suitible open space just outside the city half of the C-94s began spewing out parachutes as the 623rd began their decent. The other half tipped their noses up as if climbing for altitude. Out of the back of each of these slid four pallets which held either a M-93 Wolverine or an Armadillo IFV. Others dropped eight pallets containing Jackrabbit Fast Attack vehicles. As soon as they were clear of the transports massive chutes on each of the pallets delpoyed, braking the fall of the vehicles. Despite these they still slammed into the ground with great force. The popping of small explosive charges that freed the vehicles from their pallets was quickly followed by the sound of multi-fuel engines cranking. Ten minutes after the first chute opened in the sky the 3rd Company of the 623rd had mounted up and had begun moving out toward their objective.

Somewere in the Camdean military camp a group of well trained 21-26 year old soldiers are playing cards and having a laugh when the siren sounds they what this means could be a drill could be real who can tell, they start packing their bags anyway..


As Sgt.Pete walks out his office he one thing on his mind get the troops ready and send them of. As he approaches the barracks he lights his cigar he allways thought it looked cool..

" Right boys we have a situation in SteamEarth that could do with some assistance, just like in the training respect them they will respect you. Now you need to split into group A and B get on those chinooks once Geek boy has the computer set up you will receive further orders involving this mission is that clear ? Good GO GO GO.."

At that the soldiers grab their bags and head out the barracks forming two neat lines they head to the chinnoks Geek boy while running out mutters under his breath "Geek boy, aye right poxy sergeant" before boarding the chinook..

OOC: The Space Orks are theoretically a space faring nation, but since ork spores can be taken to almost any planet. I can still be involved if you dont mind. Orks dont have any big blast lasers or huge WMD's. I think youll all get a kick out oftheir wacky technology and outlandish way of doing things.

The bulk of the WCA was moving northwards towards Death Valley, yet there was a sizeable force left to defend Klatch.

Bates had flown from Serlin to the frontline, he now searched the horizon with a looking-glass/telescope. He saw the WCA's force closing in, yet something was wrong. He moved forwards to get a better view, suddenly his face turned pale and cried out. "What th--...........S***! Artilleries FIRE! All unit fall back!"

The giant guns of the Iron Guard opened fire, whilst the soldiers fell back to their transport blimps. Bates had seen the reason why the WCA had started a civil war, the taint of Chaos was now within SteamEarth once more.

The sky was turning dark, darkness had come back once more!

Former Major of the Five Civilized Nations Mobile Suit Corp, James Allard sat in the cockpit of his NT-1 Mobile Suit, pondering his new life in SteamEarth and working as a mercenary for his elder brother, Michael. It has been one year since he left the service, and James still dearly missed his former life. Through his panoramic cockpit he noted the positions of his two wingmen, Joshua Hitchson and Thomas Mitchell, and continued on the move through the barren deserts of SteamEarth.

Moments later, the trio of NT-1 Mobile Suits arrived at the mercenary base. At the base's hanger bay three NT-1 Mobile Suits are standing upright being serviced by a swarm of technicians. After powering down his MS, James hops down from the cockpit slap bang into his elder brother. Both collapse into a heap. Excruiating himself from the mess, James helps his brother up. Dusting himself off, Michael stands up.

"Hey bro..." James said.

"Hello James... We got a new mission, we're working with SteamEarth to deal with the insurgents..." Michael replied.

"Alright, some action after this boredom..."

The throne room of the Arch Duke was ever hidden in shadows, the few windows and lights doing little to disperse the shadows.
In front of the throne on which the Arch Duke himself sat, there were a dozen or more people including the High Marshal, the minister of foreign affairs, the minister of finance, and a inqiusitor. Around the room also stood figures in black "Imperator" armor and purple robes, the Knights of Saint Lazurus.
"Any reason we should intervene?"
The High Marshal was the first to answer,
"As you know Princeps, are military has lately been undergoing modernization and we would gladly check our inventions, the Lasgun, Chameleone Cloak and the "Destroyer" battle tank to say only the most important."
The Arch Dukes gaze passed on to the next minister,
"As far as I know," the finance minister began slowly,"Their is little of interest for us there, and don't forget that we have been working hard to drop the taxes and a military intervention would undoubtly couse a raise."
"Any Diplomatic personel there?"
"The standard, a embassy and a couple of consulates, one of which we lost contact with that was stationed at... Klatch."
"If I may..." all eyes turned towards the Inquisitor who contineud once the Arch Duke told him to carry on, "Our psykers have lately seen a increase in demonic activity inside the warp, they claim that it is intense around Steam Earth which may indicate the presence of a Black Gate."
The silence that fell was broken by the duke as he spoke,
"Inform the goverment of Steam Earth that we are ready to intervene, if they do not agree try to inform them what they may be facing."
"Inqiusitor gather a team and try to see if you are correct."
"Marshal begin a minor mobilization."
The men left the throne room leaving the Arch Duke in the Darkness that suddenly seemed darker...

Major Forester examined the computer map insdie his M-93 Wolverine 'Hell Hound' for a moment longer before he started passing out orders over the Tac Net. "The 1st tank platoon will take up supporting firing positions ten miles outside the city, 2nd infantry platoon will provide th infantry screen. The rest of the Company will enter the city and head for the embassy. Upon entering the city the Company will assume close quarter fighting formation. Units are not authorized to fire unless fired upon. If fired upon all units will return fire until the threat has been neutralised. Attepts should be made to minimize damage to civilian property if possible. That is all, lets do this one by the book."
A few minutes later the 1st Tank platoon and the 2nd infantry platoon's Armadillos pulled off to the side of the road and took a defensive position while the rest of the company proceeded into the town.

Prime Minister Richard Clark faced the Chief Engineer of the SteamWarp Project across the table, the Engineer was looking uneasy. "So you tell me now that a week ago that the WCA 'might' have stolen information on the SteamWarp Project and you didn't report it until now?"

"Err........yeah."

"Now becuase of you we're being invaded by the WCA and an army from another plane of existence, that might be conisdered teason." The Engineer went pale but stayed quiet. "Thank Great Maker that the Regent has left the country on 'business', that means I'm in charge and I'm appeared to give you another chance. Find a way to stop the SteamWarp being used or you'll face the firing squad, that is all."

The Engineer quickly left without saying a word, a clark came in. "Excuse me sir, you wanted to send a message to our allies?"

"Ah yes, tell them that they are required to withdraw their forces away from Klatch and the Death Valley area as we are planning to nuke the city and the valley in an atempt to buy us some time against the Chaos forces."

"WHAT! Repeat that message!" A few seconds later. "Deity blast all!" Major Forester couldn't believe the the report he was getting over the radio. "All units, withdraw from the city at best speed and close up for NBC operations, the city is about to be nuked."

As one the column turned and cranked up to full speed. The Wolverines and Armadillos declining to use the streets, took the most direct route out of the city, regardless of the fact that various buildings stood in the way. 55+ tons of metal moving at over 100mph wasn't about to stop for mere brick and morter. The Jackrabbits with their higher speed raced through the city as if on one of the obstical courses their drivers had neede to run in training. Taking corners on two wheels, often with the remaining two wheels getting traction on the walls of buildings, with engines screaming they tore out of the city just as the first of the armored vehicles came crashing through the outlying buildings. Joining up with the fire support platoons the Company headed into the countryside at 110mph, 10mph faster than the Wolverines were supposed to be able to go even with the governers pulled. Shortly after a flash lit up the horizon followed by the signature mushroom cloud of a nuclear explosion.

"Mr. President, a nuclear device has just been used on the city of Klatch. Our forces managed to get clear in time, but as per standard operating procedure this escalates the severity of the situation several levels. By the book we should have at least three full divisions in their plus support."
"Right then, we've got several divisions just finishing up training, have them relieve our more experianced units who are pulling garrision duty and send them to SteamEarth. Redeploy the 9th Air Fleet to Black Horse Base. Also divert any fleets within three weeks steaming of SteamEarth. Oh, and alert Marea and have my personnel transport warmed up, I'll be attending to this matter personnally." The phone made a satisfying click as Gabriel put it back on the hook, cutting off the choaked protest from the other end.

Prime Minister sat reading the reports which had just come in, Bates was sitting across the table. After laying the file down before him, Clark turned to face Bates. "So Klatch has been destroyed?"

"Yes sir, it should be a major blow for the WCA."

"Yes it should, they wouldn't even dare cross the area now with all the fallout and radiation. Which reminds me, the Death Valley nukes are in place aren't they?"

"Yes sir, my soldiers are under orders to blow them should the enemy attack."

"Good, good. Right I want a attack force ready by 0730 tomorrow when it'll head into WCA territory and destroy the WCA's SteamWarp Gate. They'll have six hours to do this before our gravity cannons open up with the nukes and hopefully deal with the WCA once and for all. I'm sure that our allies will help us, that is all."

"At least they are taking the Arch Enemy seriusly."
General Valerian thought as he looked towards the area recently nuked,
"Than again If the inqusition is right that may not be enough to stop them."
Casting away the pesemistic thought he went to the biulding that was currently serving as HQ.
Going there he passed several units of infantry and rangers, the later were somewhat harder to see as their "Camo" cloaks constantly changed to match the background. Every soldier he passed were wearing filter masks to minimilize the chance of catching any radiation.
Not far behind tanks and vehicles of all kinds were making preperations to move out, filling feul tanks, laoding ammo.
"Any orders?"
The comm officer looked up,
"The same, work with our hosts."
Valerian sighed, he didn't like co-operative actions, but orders are orders.
"Contact Steam Earths HQ, ask where do they want us."

The mercenary team under the command of Michael Allard moved out. With the six NT-1 Aegis Mobile Suits providing escort, a long line of ground transports drove through the desert.

James Allard in his NT-1 suddenly observed a mushroom cloud rising far away. James began to speak over the comm.

This is Wraith Four, what the fuck was that?

This is Lead, I don't know what is going on. Klasoff what is going on? (refering to mercenary unit's scientific officer)

This is Klasoff, my instruments are reading high nuclear reactivity... My Geiger Counter is off the charts. Believe that massive nuclear explosion. Location is probably the city of Klatch...

How far away are we from there? Are we safe from the radiation?

We are at least 200 kilometers away from it, we should be safe from the radiation. But recommend should activate our radiation negation systems, just in case...

Recommendation approved... All units activate radiation negation systems.

Michael's command is followed by a series of Aye sirs...

The line continued to move on...

Amid the chaos and confusion of battle, The president of w00tville marches in with 200 of he's nations elite troops.

Moving closer and ever so closer towards ground zero, the troops stop to rest near the peak of a hill, they decide to camp over night to be fresh for tomorrow and the future battles that will be encountered.

As dawn breaks, The President of w00tville is seen rallying the troops by dancing up a storm!

"Ole! comrades ole!" Fills the air accompanied by clapping and laughter.

At Jeruselem High Command

Officer runs into General Jones office "Sir, sir, there's been a nuclear explosion in the nation of our trading partner SteamEarth. It is believed a city was wiped out."

The General jumped up "For the grace of God, who fired it?".

The officer shook his head "No idea, but it was reported rebels had taken the city before being nuked".

The General reached for the phone direct to the Queen.

A smile crossed the Generals face,
"Finally some action. Link me to all units, oh and try not to call our hosts "Steamers", at least not when they're around."
Movement intensified in the camp as officers began readying their men, soon they would be ready for battle.

Antioch Military Air Base

Troops are moving into transport aircraft while light armoured vehicles are being loaded. Major Shapal was reading orders and looked concerned "Don't go within 200 KM of the city of Klatch due to deadly nuclear radiation ... not good" .

MESSAGE TO ALLIES

The WCA has a city/base called 'Vendigrad' to the very south of the wastes, it is surrounded by flat wasteland which is in turn has a mountian range to the north of it. A blimp we sent to investigate the area 'disappeared' after reporting in that it was under heavy fire, so frankly we have no idea that we'll be facing.

There is a time limit of six hours max to go in, find the SteamWarp Gate and destroyed and get the hell out before we luanch a bombarment of A-Bombs at it with our gravity cannons.

OOC; That last bit gives a whole new meaning to the phase, 'Let the A-Bombs fly!' :wink:

How do I join?

The Jeruselem 1st Crusader Army landed in Steam Earth near the allied base (wherever it is). Major Shapal got his men to start preparing the light armoured vehicles for battle. He looked at the map and pointed at the mountains "we need to blast their fixed artillery positions first".

The leading part of the Company slowly edged back over the hill until what had once been the city of Klatch. Black smoke and soot blew around the Company, whipped up by high winds. Through the few gaps that occasionally opened through the smoke the company could see that nothing was left of the city other than a giant crater. Suddenly the radio crackled to life. "This is Fire Dog Three, we're seeing something moving out there."
Major Forester activated his radio. "That's impossible, nothing can survive a nuke."
"Begining your pardon sir, but tell that to whatever's coming out of the city, and there's a lot of them. At least a couple are over twelve feet tall if our instruments are reading them right. Aw shit!! One of those things just took off, it's heading right for us." The next thing that could be heard over the radio and from outside was the sound of Fire Dog Three's maingun going off accompanied by it's phalanx cannon and machine guns. With a whoosh one of the Wolverine's Headhunter missiles launched. Then a roar that sounded like it came from the depths of hell itself followed by the voice of the commander of Fire Dog Three, obviously shaken. "Major, whatever the hell that thing was it was certainly not friendly, or even human, it's at least fifteen feet tall. And the amount of firepower it took before going down was unbelievible." By now even Major Forester could see figures dimly approaching through the smoke and dust, and that made up his mind. "All unit's open fire! Fall back in an orderly manner." The smoke and dust were blown away by the blast from all the guns going off at once. The figures could now be more clearly seen. Some of them looked like they once may have been human, while others looked like they's come straight from hell itself. As the Company slowly pulled back, firing the whole way many of the obscene creatures dropped, but more and more continued to take their place. Even as the Company was falling back Major Forester was sending off a report to both HQ and the SteamEarth government.

OOC: read what some of the others have writtern, get a few ideas and write a short bit where your army arrives in the Southern Wastes.

Theres two sides, the government (me) which everybody is already on.

the Wasteland Confederate Army (WCA) who is the enemy and is allied with the forces of chaos.

Please note a WCA held city has just been nuked and the allies are going to destroy the WCA base.

The column of mercenaries continued quickly on their journey, heading towards the city of Vendigrad. Two hours later, the six NT-1 Aegis Mobile Suits neared the edge of the ruined city. Behind them the ground transports stopped and the mercenaries began to set up a perimeter. The six MS powered their scanners to its highest level and began moving into the city, their weapons raised.

I want to be on the government, now what?

Jeruselem F16's overhead diverted from their original mountain targets flew towards the crater that was Klatch. They could see evil figures rising from nuclear crater being held back by retreating Grimdale forces. They unleashed their payload into the crater leaving body parts everywhere.

One commented "Christ, looks like we found the gates of Hell!".

The attack force containing most if all not of SteamEarth forces made its way south towards WCA territory. Word had just been received that there was a situation at the ruins of Klatch, weapons were loaded and charged on the battleblimps and the Land Ironclads. The attack force passed on.

Vendigrad

A man stood alone in the grim darkness of the grand hall of the city, the table before empty. The building around him served the the WCA's seat of government, thou the WCA wasn't offically a nation. A figure emerged from the shadows, he wore a black rode encursted with spikes and chains. His right hand was a large metal claw. "OUR ENEMIES HAVE TRIED TO DESTROY KLATCH? ARE THEY FOOLS NOT TO KNOW THAT TRUE EVIL CANNOT BE DESTROYED? WILL THEY PAY? OH YES."

Outside the city,
Units of mobile artillary were set up ready to pound any sectors where resistance was to tough for the infantry to take. All the allies were informed of the possibility. Reserve units were ready to respond to any calls for aid.

Inside the city,
A number of units were moving systematicly inwards, eliminating any resistance met.
Captain Vergho checked his auspex, it didn't show any movement, but the machine was known to fail when in trying circumstances.
Relying more on his insincts and the reports of scout units he waved his force forward. A two hundred men with ten Destroyer battle tanks and eight Serpent light tanks began moving forward, the forces set up on either side of the road, covering the biuldings on the other side.
Suddenly both the comm and the auspex went crazy.
Several missiles shot out of the biuldings in front of them, some fell short throwing showers of debris in the air, one hit a tank and deflected with a ring, one landed near the infantry throwing bodies in the air, one tank slewed to a halt as it's track was thrown off, another exploded it's armor turning into shrapnel.
A hoard consisting of much more than humans rushed out off the biuldings and charged towards the soldiers, many were scythed down in the disciplined fire characteristic for soldiers of Athel Nora but still they reached their lines, desperate close combat broke out.

Two of the Aegis MS peeled off and ran slap bang into Athel Nora's ground troops fighting against a determined horde of Chaos... The head vulcans and the beam machine gun of the MS began firing, supporting Athel Nora's ground troops. The other four MS moved further into the city, drawing nearer to Grimdale's troops...

IC: Major Forester watched as a pair of Mobile suits landed behind the Company. "It's about time you guys got here, things are getting ugly out there." Then over the radio came one of the most beautiful sounds Major Forester had ever heard.
"This is White Wolf Lead with White Wolf Wing, we've brought some care packages from home, where would you like them delivered?" White Wolf Wing, Grimdale's most famous and most experianced fighter wing was the first of the reinforcements to arrive. Flying nonstop at Mach 9 from Grimdale they had only just reached the battle.
"Damn are we glad to see you, lay it down right in front of us."
"That's a roger 'Hellhound', we are going in."
The ground in front of the company disappeared in a mass of flames and smoke as everything from 2,000lb bombs to napalm, to FAE, and cluster bombs were released. After that first devestating pass the F-28s came back time and again on strafing runs with their Vulcan six-packs. When the last of the Raptors had pulled off to head to Black Horse Base nothing moved in front of the company. A few minutes later came the sound of low flying jet engines. A group of C-94 transports flew low overhead, from their cargo bays parachutes blossomed, bring much needed supplies of fuel and ammunittion to the beseiged Company. Thirty mintues after the last of the supplies had landed the Company was refueled and rearmed. And only just in time as yet another wave of the enemy appeared over the crest of the hill.

OOC:: Blast it, I leave for a few hours to go to class and everyone posts.

Part of the 1st Crusader Army reached Grimdale's forces under siege (the rest have been assigned to protect the Allied base as no one else seems to be doing this).

They instantly go out of their APCs and started taking on the hordes with their CAR15s. Scorpio tanks opened fire as well while some troops set up machine gun pods. Major Shabal shouted to his troops "This is a Crusade against the hordes from Hell, we must not lose!"

Major Forester's tank Hellhound had been sitting just below the crest of the ridge when the armies of chaos came swarming over. He'd only just had time to slam the hatch closed and lock it when they were on top of them. As the hatch slamed the engine roared to life and the driver did his best to put the accelerator through the floor. Bodies were crushed under the Wolverine's tracks as it lept into motion. Round after round of canister blasted from it's main gun while the 37mm Phalanx and the internal machine guns tore holes in the wall of advancing enemy troops. After a moment's time the tank lurched free of the mass of creatures, but several were still hanging on. A burst of .225 chaingun fire from another tank quickly removed the problem. Jackrabbits were racing back and forth in front of the advancing horde, firing with chainguns, .30cal machine guns, and TOW launchers. Armadillos hosed down rank after rank with chainguns, machine guns, and 37mm cannon fire, while the troops inside opened up with their assualt rifles. Wolverines were either firing pointblank into the masses with HE and Canister and every other weapon they could bring to bear, the big guns tearing huge holes in the chaos troops, or they laid back several miles and fired HE shells rigged for airbursts into the oncoming swarm. Overhead the occasional F-28 flying out of Black Horse Base came in with guns blazing and ordinance dropping from wings and internal bombbays. It looked like a scene straight out of Hell.

1st Crusader Army loaded their RPGs and fired into the bloody horde of Chaos creatures charging at them and proceed to retreat back to their vehicles while firing. Major Shabal called for more air support.

A creature nearly jumped into his tank but he pulled out his CAR15 and knocked it out of the air. Several troops fell to the rush of Chaos creatures while their collegues struggled to keep them away.

The C-94 was just one of many that were landing and taking off at Black Horse Base's airfield. But along with it's load of supplies it carried an importent passenger. President Jewell and his everpresent bodyguard Marea walked across the busy tarmac and flagged down a Jackrabbit. "To Base HQ and step on it." He told the surprised soldier. Walking into the base's HQ his eyes immediately came to rest on a man wearing the insignia of a general. "General Clancy, what's the latest news?"
Unlike the others in the room the General didn't start when he realised exactly who was standing in the room.
"It's not looking good Mr. President, when Able Company went to investigate the remaints of the city they were attacked by what can best be described as the Legions of Hell. Horrid monsters and humanlike creatures have been assaulting the Company ever since, and it's only recently several other countries forces have arrived to lend assistance."
At that moment White Wolf Lead walked in the door, wearing the insignia of a Colonel, to give his report on his latest mission. A look of surprise crossed his face when he saw the President. "Dad, what are you doing here?"
The President turned around and gave his son a hug. "I heard things were getting serious so I came up to survey the situation myself Jordan."
Jordan shook his head. "Get into the middle things you mean. For crying out load, you're over fifty, you've got no business being on the battlefield." He turned to look at Marea. "And you, I would have thought you'd manage to keep him home at the very least."
Gabriel laughed and slapped his son on the back. "Son, the day I can't keep up with the rank and file is the day I stay off the battlefield for good. And don't go blaming Marea, if you can't stop me you honestly can't expect her to." He turned back to the General. "When are the first reinforcements going in?"
The General consulted his watch. "The 93rd divison will be being airdropped in approximately three hours."
"Good, tell them to save a couple of seats, I'm going in with them."
Knowing the President's reputation the General could only shake his head. Nothing this side of death would every keep President Jewell from the battlefield when his citizens were risking their lives. "I'll see to it sir."
Gabriel gave his son's shoulder a squeeze. "Take care son, from the sounds of things we're going to need all the aircover we can get."
With that, he disappeared out the door, Marea close behind him.

A transport plane arrived from Jeruselem with some secret cargo aboard. It was heavily guarded with extreme viglilance while being escorted to the airbase.

OOC: OH WOW!! I leave this thread alone for a day and everything changes. Let me see if i've got this straight!

Grimdale, Five Nations, Athel Nora, Jeruselem, are fighting in the city of the WCA's base with an unknown amount of time until SteamEarth nukes the entire lot of them. Sounds like good fun for ORKS!

IC: The combatants are locked in grizzly combat in an are of the city. Suddenly a low rumble like the thundering of angry gods echoes through the steel and mortar towers of the city. The battle marginally lessens as both sides notice the quaking. The sound becomes the full-fledged roar of engines and power and suddenly, off to the left of the "government side", shapes appear on the horizon visible through the mists of battle. They are vehicles!

Open-toppped Trukks full of roaring and excited orks appear on the horizon.
Huge numbers of what appear to be half-trak style vehicles, decked out in all styles appear with them. Some of the the trakks carry massive twin-linked cannons, others have banks of rokkit launcher tubes attached to swiveles on their chassis, some look like they are towing massive garbage cans with huge flamethrower nozzles poking out of one face.

Also ork bikers astride massive bikes with two large cannons facing forward bolted to the side appear and add the roar of their unnecessarily loud engine to the din of orks.

Finally, a huge tank-like Battlewagon crests the horizon. It carries 5 Rokkit launcher assemblies, 5 large cannons stick out of the sides and rear of the tank, and finally, an absurdly huge tube with glowing lights and cables attached to it sticks out of a turret that looks like it was bolted onto the rest of the tank almost as an after thought.
And everywhere, hanging onto all parts of the vehicles but especially the myriad of trukks, there are ORKS!

An especially huge ork in what apears to be a a massive powered exoskeleton with a wicked gun on one arm and a huge crushing-claw on the other, sticks his upper body out of the top of the Battlewagon, and looks at the combatants. A sinister grin of violence spreads across his face, and he yells in a monstrous gutteral voice
"WWWAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!"

The entire army begins racing toward the fighters at ridiculously high speeds and the entire army screams a bloodthirsty battle cry of
"WWAAAGGGHHH!!!!!"

The trakks, trukks, and bikers race forward to thw approximate place where the two armies of good and evil meet, guns blazing in afury of sound and fire.

The Battle wagon moves forward some but stays back mostly, firing volleys of cannon round and missiles into the fighters on both sides.

(you guys should note that orks shooting is horerendously inaccurate even at almost point blank range! So although the sheer volume of firepower will likely do something! The orks are just firing into the mass as they approach, without really aiming, so vehicles and anyone in serious armour will be mostly unharmed. The only damage of any note will probably be done to Athel Nora's forces, as they appear to ble the rough equivalent of Warhammer 40k Guardsman. But this damage will still not be serious.)

Wow this was a long post!

The few rounds that actually hit the company bounce off the curved moleculary bonded armor of the vehicles. Even as Major Forester watched the Chaos army suddenly shifted the direction of it's advance. Turning from the allied forces they moved as if with one mind to assault the newcomers. Taking advantage of the reprive Able Company pulled back, firing even faster than before, trying to inflict as many casualties as possible before the forces of Chaos resumed their advance.

My understanding is Athel Nora is in the rebel base, while the other including myself are fighting Chaos forces outside nuked Klatch including those Orks who fighting everyone. I have forces protecting the allied bases as well.

OOC; Vendigrad will be nuked wether or not the SteamWarp Gate has been destroyed (we just wanna make sure), there is a time limit of six hours as that is the time it takes for our gravity cannons to be charged up and loaded with the A-Bombs. We'll be firing SIX NUKES, so there'll be a very big bang.

The reason for the Gate to be destroyed ASAP is to stop more Chaos forces coming through.

KLATCH RUINS

A couple miles north of the ruins the attack fleet of SteamEarth's Iron Guard was moving south, the fleet of 23 or so battleblimps had their weapons fully loaded and ready to fire. The Land Ironclads also had their weapons ready.

A fleet of 16 Dreadnaughts (like the giant spider from Wild Wild West but with some more turrets) was linking up with the attack force.

As they neared the ruins, fighting could be seen on the edge of the former city. The forces of Chaos seem to be winning.

The battleblimps and Land Ironclads opened up their guns, the Iron Guard charged forwards with the Dreadnuaghts behind. The Land Inronclads move forwards into the ruins blasting both Chaos beasts and the ruins which happen to be in their way. The Dreadnaughts open up with their flame cannons leveling the city even more and turning the ruined buildings into rubble. The Battleblimps circle the ruins again firing away at the Chaos hoards.

As shells, fireballs and gun fire sounded all around them a squad of convicted misfits known as the Rogue Gunmen moved forwards towards what remained of the city hall. They had met little resistance and soon they reached the square in front of the city hall, Captain Vimes ordered his squad to stay put in the alley. Called out, thou his voice was muffled by his gas mask. "Corporal Midnight, get your lazy a*** here now!"

Midnight moved forwards keeping low, his sniper rifle was slung over his back. "Watcha ya want capt?"

"Midnight I want you to see if theres only one in the city hall."

"Righteo capt!" Swearing under his breath he made his way into some ruins and made for what remained of the first floor, luckily the stairs were still in one piece. A short while later he called out. "Capt, itsa empty asa soddin' cyrpt!"

Vimes stood up a little way and called out his orders. "Alright squad, move out. Midnight, Meg stay here and provide covering fire."

Midnight just mumbled a reply, Meg the Half Orge stood here smiling with gatling gun in hand.

Ok Athel Nora.

The nation of domination continued to walk down the path, then they got to the end of the damp and dark path and they saw some people at the end, who are they? :?:

Major Shabal ordered a tactical withdrawal after the forces of Chaos were gaining after the Orks interfered. Air support finally arrived as Orks and Chaos troops were thrown into the air as bombs exploded into their midst.

OOC: I understand that the Orks are here for the fight and don't care who the're killing.

Captain Verghast slashed a cultist across the neck before putting a round in the chest of another one. Wiping the blood off of his goggles he took stock of the situation,
After the Aegis's arrived his men got some needed fire sopport that allowed them to take the hoard a piece at a time.
But now more Xenos arrived causing some casualties in the melee and caused the bulk of the cultists to neglect charging his men as they instead threw themsleves at the orks.
The tanks and soldiers with RPG's/Grenade Launchers were shelling the Ork wagons, others were simply shooting into the melee.
"Pull Back!, Pull Back to Marker 10!"
The men obiediantly began falling back, armor units giving covering fire.
Captain Verghast than ordered a artillary strike on the area and contacted the Aegis pilots, thanked them for their intervention and warned them that shelling will start in 5 minutes.

Elsewhere in Vendigrad,
Small arms fire pattered harmlesly off the Taurus's armor as it and the 20 other armed vehicles raced towards the Chaotic lines.
A missile slammed into the side of a battle tank but did nothing to stop the crew from slamming a shell into the biulding it was launched from.
The Tauruses's roared as the rode ontop of the cultists lines before falling, crushing those not qiuck enough to get out of the way.
The vehicles weaponry opened fire scything down heretics and mutants even as the rear hatches opened and it's "cargo" rushed out adding their firepower to that of the vehicles,in a matter of seconds none of the heretics were alive.
Inquisitor Servo looked at the rightous slaughter as he wondered how could anyone turn from God's light and willingly serve deamons?
Turning his armored bulk he gazed at the small man wearing a slightly different uniform from the soldiers around him,
"You sure?"
The Psyker raised his head and looked at the Inquisitor before replying,
"This is were I sense the largest warp activity." he stated.
"Colonel! Order your men to move out."
The camander of the Inquisitors hand chosen unit nodded as he ordered his men forward.
This was it, if the Psyker was right they could swiftly end Chaotic presence in this area, and even if the "Steamers" would still nuke the city, the Inquisition might still gain some knowledge of the Arch-Enemy.
"Even the smallest drop of rain, may help bring down the mountain"

The person that the nation of domination came up to was a member of motosium army.

Gino got out a gun and shot the person of motosium team to the flour,

"Gino good job you killed him." said mad dog

"Thanks." said Gino

They walk out of the path and in to a batte zone.

One of the NT-1 MS, piloted by a former bounty hunter, Jameson Terval, took a direct hit in the right shoulder from an 250mm Anti-Tank Gun. The MS fell to the ground, its right arm blasted off. Immediately, another NT-1 MS took up a position in front of the downed MS and began to defend it. Uprighting itself, the MS continued to lay down covering fire using its head vulcans.

This is Wraith Leader to Wraith Strike Team, move out and take out that Warp Gate... Wraith Assault Team stay behind and cover them...

Michael Allard's command was answered by five Aye, sirs.

Three lightly damaged MS moved off at a fast clip. Using their verniers, they sped up to 195 mph. Meanwhile, the three remaining MS took up defensive positions and began to lay down suppressive fire.

Meanwhile the gravity cannons of SteamEarth were being loaded with A-Bombs and being prepared to fire on the sixth hour.

Gunfire and screams of pain filled the air, a small area became a battle ground for Athel Noran's and cultists.
"Protect the Portal! Protect the Portal!"
the cultists leader shouted, panic in his voice.
All around him lay dead or dying cultists, despite their frenzy and numbers they did not stand much of a chance against their assailaints.
"Forward men of Athel Nora! For God and the Duke!"
"For God and Duke!"
under the cover of heavy weapons the soldiers rushed forward, a few falling to the chaotic fire before they smashed into them.
The Inquisitor strode confidently into the fray, attacks deflected off of his Imperator armor while he dispatched heretics with every blow of his sword. Finally he hacked his way to the Cultists leader, the heretic was as easily dispatched as were his folowers.
Seeing the death of their leader the remaing heretics ran only to be scythed down by the soldiers fire.
"Colonel! Clear the perimiter, I will remain here with squad Alpha and Gamma."
The Colonel took his men and begn hunting down any remaining foes, the Inquisitors men were set up around the Gate, most facing the Warp Gate.
The Inquisitors servants were busy measuring, sketching the gate into computers, copying the runs. Soon they would have a full copy of the gate ready.
"What do you make of it?"
The Psyker didn't even look up as he replied,
"It will be hard, but I think that I will manage to close it."
The Inquisitor nodded and taking the long range comm he signalled the general that they have reached the objective.
The general in turn requested that all attacks on the Portal are to be stopped until the team evacuates.

The trio of NT-1 Aegis MS cruised to the Portal only to find the Inquistors surrounding it. They cautiously raised their weapons. The leader, James Allard, stared in shock at the Portal. Something quickly registered on his mind, and he saw the Inquistors downloading the data.

James sent a quick message to the Inquistors.

Stand aside from the portal, I'm blasting it...

Not waiting for the Inquistors' answer, James raised his Beam Cannon and began to power it up...

So Meanwhile the nation of domination were walking slowly on the battle zone, walking over lots and lots of dead bodys.
Then one of the bodys on the flour grabed mad dog with the only hand he as left,

" Help me please?" said the guy on the flour of the battle zone,
Mad dog looked down at him and shot him in the head,

" Who was that?" said Gino

" No one." said mad dog

They slowly walked down the battle zone, looking down for any more live bodys.

As the bulk of the Iron Guard fought the forces of Chaos on the edge of the ruins of Klatch, Captain Vimes and his squad moved closer to the former city hall. The bombarment of the ruins by the allies could be heard in the distance, yet the ruins round the Rogue Gunmen were quiet. Inside they could see a SteamWarp Gate, damaged yet still able to operate. The Chaos could still use it, Vimes ordered for it to be blown up.

The explosives were set up, and they were clear of the ruins. However Midnight had spotted a Chaos unit moving in, he chucked a piece of rubble towards Vimes. Vimes then hand signalled for the squad to hide, him taking the detonator.

Vimes waited in the shadows as the Chaos unit moved into the ruin of the city hall, then he blow the explosives killing most of the unit. He and his squad then charged forward firing of their rifles, Meg mowing down the Chaos beasts with the gatling. A shell exploding nearby pointed out that the city was to be levelled, Vimes chucked a grenade and ducked down.

The sky above the battlefield was darkend by their presence. By the hundreds they came. C-94 transports, surrounded by clouds of fighters. Vehicles and men began to tumble down through the air. In the space of ten minutes the 93rd Armored Calvary Division had landed. In another seven they had formed up. "Major Forester, this is President Jewell, prepare your Company for us to pass through. We've given ground long enough. Now we attack."
Hundreds of armored vehicles surged forward, passing through the defensive lines and smashing head on into the forces of Chaos. The air quickly filled with the sound of gunfire of all calibers. The escorting F-28s came down to strafe and bomb the massive army again and again. By sheer weight of firepower the 93rd advanced, behind them the ground was black and red with the crushed and blasted bodies of their opponents. For the first time the allied forces could take the offensive, and at least the 93rd intended to take full advantage of that momentum.

You notice a squadron of white Su-34s fly over the scene and leave the way they came.

Chaos units round Klatch had been reduced servely, the forces of Chaos appeared to be withdrawing yet the Battleblimps continued it bombarment of the ruins. The Iron Guard pressed onwards towards Vendigrad for the final showdown.

As the armored vehicles began to pull back, the crews nearly deafend by the combination of non-stop gunfire and the pounding on the hulls of the vehicles by the troops of the Chaos army. Several vehicles had been immobilized and they were being dragged off the field of battle by their fellows, still firing.

The 1st Crusader Army were in full retreat while still trying to keep the forces of Chaos out of harms reach. A blanket of cluster bombs as dumped on the advancing Chaos forces buying time for the army to get away.

At allies bases, machine gun points and sniper positions were being set up. Local militia were provided with RPGs to assist with fighting the Chaos force in case they were needed as backup.

IC: Grobash was decidedly peeved! His boyz had carried themselves like a bunch of grot-food scum! They had failed to damage anything really severly and hadn't reacted fast enough to be meaningfully involved in the battle or even fast enough to have a good brawl! AARRGGGHHHH!

He cliumbed up to the turret of the battlewagon and threw the poor exscuse for an ork that was using the main gun out of the hatch! Personally ponting the gun at the biggest piece of land armour he could find (probably one of the Gundams) Grobash pushed the big red button!

A beam of blue-white lightning arced out of the barrel and into a Gundam of Five Nations. Suddenly warinig lights lit up everywhere in the cabin of the tank. The Zzapp gun began to glow red hot and melt into slag! A feed-back loop with the gun's batteries developed and the entire turret was blown off it's already shaky hinges. Cursing loudly Grobash ordered the remnants his army to retreat and wait for the reinforcements.

(as a note. The Zzapp Gun is an incredibly powerful laser cannon. Its really the only thing in the ork arsenal of ground weapons that actually can blow big nasty holes in just about everything, its just prone to over heating :wink: )

VENDIGRAD

Reg Shoe saw that the allies had the upper hand in this war, the Gate had been put out of action and the Chaos Lord wasn't at all happy about it. Most of what remained of the Wasteland Confederate Army had surrendered to the allies, the Lord said that they must carry on fighting. Reg knew that all was lost, he knew what he had to do as he cocked his pistol and entered the grand hall.

The Lord was standing facing out over the burning city, Reg levelled his pistol and fired. The gun exploded in his hand, blowing his right clean off. The Lord turned round, his eyes glowing a bright red. "MORTAL FOOL, DID THOU THOUGH THY COULD BE SLUAGHTERED LIKE A MORTAL? DID THY REALLY THINK THE LORD DIDN'T KNOW THY WOULD DO THIS?"

Reg stood there holding the stump of his right arm with his left hand, with tears running down his face as the Lord walked up to him. Reg managed to say "Go to hell!" as the Lord's metal claws sliced off Reg's head with a sickening chomp.

Flash and Burn...

With those words the three MS fired their beam cannons at the Portal. The Portal although protected by some sort of force field against weaponry was unable to hold up. The force of the beam cannons caused a short in the power supply and the portal went dead. The beam cannons' beam held for ten seconds, burning the undefended portal to a crisp...

Immediately after the portal was destroyed, a message squawked to the pilots of the MS...

Nuclear Launch Detected... Repeat Nuclear Launch Detected... Immediate evacuation has been authorized...

The pilots swore. Immediately, they powered up the MSs' verniers and ran the hell out of Venigrad... As they reached the mercenary base, the nuclears bombs landed... Luckily, a powerful anti-radiation shield generator had been set up to ward off the ill effects of the nukes...

Near Klatch,
The Athel Nora'n intervention force was currently regrouping near Klatch. Now reinforced with the 6th and 7th light infantry and the 19th armored regiment it possed a force counting well over 50 thousand men despite casualties sustained in Vendigrad.

The Drop Ship took off sending a small wave of dust. Those wounded in action were waiting for their evac to the main battle barge hovering above, the most seriusly wounded were the first to be evacuated. Further away, also waiting for evac, was a line of black bags bearing those that gave their life in the conflict.
The General stood looking at the casualties, at times like this he would ask himself if the sacrifice demanded from these men was worth it?
Immediatly after he would answer that it was, sometimes to keep everything you loved from harm, you had to sacrifice everything you had, a sad paradox.
Looking away he walked back to his bunker, the enemy though crippled could still be a threat. Only in their complete anihilation would the enemy realy stop possing a threat...

Mobile artillary on the outskirts of Klatch.

After the worst effects of the radiation were dissipated, the mercenaries packed up and moved out, heading for Klatch to finish off the Chaos...

The Iron Guard already had moved northwards to engage what was left of the Chaos forces, they were now supported by whose soldiers of the WCA who had surrendered. The heavy artillary of the Iron Guard plus the combined force of the Battleblimp, Land Ironclad and Dreadnaught fleets were massed along the southern edge of the Klatch ruins. A smaller combined fleet was massed in the Death Valley area some miles north of the ruins, with the two Death Valley Nukes.

Commander Bates was tense, he hadn't a clue as to what the Chaos forces had planned plus also there was still the Orks to deal with. None the less he gave the order to standfast, hoping the Chaos forces would charge them.

Jeruselem helicopter gunships appeared and targeted the remnants of the Chaos forces with unguided rockets. Anyone left standing was strafed with cannon fire like it was target practice.

Other gunships blasted Orkish vehicles with their anti-tank missiles leaving a trail of destruction as smoke filled the air with burning orks.

OOC: I understand that Steam Earth soldiers look like the Steel Legion?

Artillary began shelling the remains of Klatch, Colonel Ferson ordered them to begin shelling mostly to give the men something to do.
Infantry were singing battle hims while they waited for the battle to commence. The APC's that would carry them across no mans land also seemed impatient to begin the battle.
After a victory in Vendigrad moral was high and the soldiers were impatient to get into battle.
Colonel Ferson snatched the comm from his officer and persenolly requested permission to attack.

Lieutenant General Tyrol sighed, he remebered bieng young, believing that nothing could stand against the might of the Imperial Army, but than he had many painful lessons since then.
Turning around he adressed his staff,
"It is agreed than. We shell the ruins untill the Heretics come into our killing range. If they do not come out in two hours we assault their positions or if our allies suggest a better plan."
He looked around and stopped on a man in a black uniform,
"Unless the Commissar would suggest something."
Commissars, officers that officialy are only advisors yet hold a lot of power in their old hands.
"I do not see any thing wrong in your plan General."
"Than you aare dismissed gentelman."
The officers stood and began going to their units, only the commissar and the general stayed.
"I trust that you took measures?"
The general looked up, both of the old men were veterans, and had fought with servants of Chaos on more than one occasion.
"Scouts and inteligence did not find any movement in the wasteland, but we both know that one must be careful with them. Though I hope that they will stubernly hold the ruins, they might as well disapear in the wasteland andattack in force after weaks, monthes, years...
But yes, High Command has units ready to move on any notice of chaotic forces. We have taken all precautions and we can only hope that it will be enough."
Both men fell silent and the distant crash of artillary could be heard.

Imperial artilary almost immediatly began shelling the ruins following Steam Earths HQ's instructions.
Elsewhere the massed Imperial armor units were ready to support the Ironclads and Dreadnaughts. Infantry waited not far away to support them if enemy forces would prove to be to effective.

The shelling continued, yet the ruins stayed quiet. No Chaos forces came rushing out, Bates gave the order for the Iron Guard to advance into the ruins.

Their objective was to take the ruins of the old city hall, located in the very heart of the ruins. It made a good defensive position as it was surrounded on all four sides by canals, connected to the rest of the former city by bridges.

However after the Iron Guard neared the ruins of the old temple, the Chaos forces ruushed forwards out of the ruins.......

As the nation of domination moved down the dirt and dark track, eyeing the surrounding trees and leafs, something was eyeing them. Movement in the bushes up ahead made the Sargeant hand signal for his squad to halt. Further signals made by the officer were for Privite Himms to scout ahead, whilst the nation of domination provided were ready to provide cover fire.

Consider that the rp is taking place in a recently nuked area which is just wasteland surrounding a ruin of a city.

Queen Ligeia sat in quiet contemplation, carefully reading and re-reading the field reports from the civil war. She sipped a glass of Amontillado, her brow furrowed in concern. Before her, the nervous advisor cleared his throat. Ligeia looked up. "Yes?"

"My Queen, Metzengerstein cannot commit forces to this war. The people are still recovering from the recent conflict with the Inquisitors. If we --"

The advisor was cut off with a dismissive wave of Ligeia's lace-gloved hand. "I know the problems we face, Dupin. The Inqusitors will soon be rousted from their lairs, and our people will breathe free." She raised an eyebrow, "We didn't join the Iron League to watch our new allies die."

"With our forces spread as thin as they are, we cannot risk attracting the attention of more powerful nations. It would be my counsel that we offer humanitarian aid where possible, but to remain free from military action."

Ligeia sighed. Dupin was right ... he was always right. "Very well. Have the generals step up observation along our borders, and wire a telegraph to SteamEarth offering what aid we can provide."

"Yes, my queen," said Dupin curtly. He bowed, turned rigidly on his heels, and strode from the room.

Ligeia returned to reading the reports, her heart torn from within over the wrenching decisions that faced her new nation.

The nation of domination takes out there gun ready to fight what ever hides from them. The nation of domination here the sound of foot prints comes closer and closer, the nation of domination start to sweat the sound get louder.

Inside the ruins,
Imperial infantry leave their transports and almost immediatly begin firing into the chaotic lines.
Officers report contact with enemy forces back to HQ and other units in the city, those that haven't enganged yet, increase their caution as they scout out searching the remains of the city for other heretical forces.

Outside the ruins,
Glad that contact has been made Athel Nora'n HQ send some reserve units into the sector.
Artillary men that had ceased fire for the time that forces were inside the ruins once again readied shells in case their soppurt would be needed.
Infantry involuntarly ducked as they heard the sound of air craft and sighed with relief as it turned out to be their own "Fury" attack copters that were heading towards the ruins.

The Dreadnaughts and Land Ironclads let rip with their cannons and Gatling guns, virtually mowing down the last of the Chaos Forces or so it seemed. The Battleblimps of SteamEarth and the combined fire power of the allies joined in the fight which proved to be hopeless for the forces of Chaos.

The Chaos soldiers charged towards the ruined temple, like a tidal wave hell bent on breaking through the defenses. Most of them where either mowed down or were blown sky high as soon as they tried to cross the open ground in front of the temple. Seaveral more reached the allied lines only be be shot full of hot lead.

A few managed to clear the allied lines, total inorging the enemy heading straight for the temple's crypts. But they too were mowed down by the seaveral gatling guns positioned within the ruin as a last line of denfense.

A Chaos general (or whoever he was) saw that they had lost the battle long ago and called for what was left of his army to return to the shadowy dimension from tence they came, leaving the allied forces in total disbelief that they had beaten a pure evil.

Yet the cost of lives was high, specially in the nuking of rebel held Klatch the beginning of the war. Mainly more had been lost, not just the nation of SteamEarth but our entire dimension from the evil forces of beyond.

Though it seemed that the heretical forces have been beaten Imperial soldiers were ordered to stay ready for any incursions.
Small teams continue to scout out the ruins, one unit of men get ready to raise the flag of Athel Nora to let it fly above the ruins of the city hall, all they needed was confirmation that the city was taken.

The Iron Guard of SteamEarth supported by the Dreadnaughts searched what remained of the ruins, all they found were dead bodies from the conflict. Reports came in saying the ruins were clear and all Chaos forces had gone.

Basically they had won.

"Command Section"

Jeruselem 1st Crusader army troops hoisted the cross of Jeruselem over a broken Church spire as helicopters hovered with weapons still primed for action overhead.

Some troops started taking some souveniors to take home.

The nation of domination load up there guns readly to fight then some one jumped out. Mad dog and Gino shut the person 10 time, but it was not a man it was a dummy. So the nation of domination loaded there guns up again and got readly to fight again. The sound at the nation of domination heird vaded away slowly.

But then "BANG"...............................

With the civil war now over, the nation of SteamEarth started its restructuring of its military.

No decidision has been made about the ruins of Klatch, thou it is believed by many that they'll be left as they are in memory of those who lost their lives.

The Wasteland Confederate Army with the lost of Vendigrad have moved to a small wasteland settlement called Junktown. They have started up attacking the wasteland trade routes again.
