"Ohio class Nuclear Submarines Depart Bases"
Earlier today at New London and Staten Island Naval Bases several Ohio class Ballistic Missile Submarines departed for the open ocean under the guise of routine deterent patrols. When asked about just what was routine about the missile patrols seeing SATOs stance shift away from standoffs with the Reich to now bickering with CACE.Admiral William Leahy, Commander of the Submarine Command informed us that "We're going back to doing what SATO was originally intended for, these missile boats wont be going anywhere near the CACE, as far as we're concerned as long as we dont see any of their terrorists in our country we could careless. Our main concern for defense should be the Reich. The Reich is militaristic and expansionist, the CACE will always be an organization that we'll never see eye to eye with however that should not cause our focus to shift in the slightest. "
The Ohios' names have been kept secret as for their missile content it is unsure just how many of them carry Ballistic Missiles or Guided Missiles, there are even talks that one may have been outfitted with a new SLBM dubbed the Trident III. However Admiral Leahy refused to comment on the specifics of the deployment only that 6 Ohio's have been deployed from port and will be on deterent patrol within range of 70% of the Reich.
