From CMN

The Department of Homeland Defense is one step closer to deploying a working SDI system with its 1st successful test. The test was conducted over the uninhabited South Pacific Island of Peppercash. The test involved the launch of an old MX type ICBM from the west coast of the RPA. The MX consisted of 5 MIRV'ed inert warheads and 3 decoy warheads. The SDI system employes 2 very different systems.

The 1st is a land based interceptor missile which is guided to its target by land and space based radar systems. The 2nd is an airborne laser system (modified 747) which also receives information from the land and space based radar system as well as on-board systems.

The Test today was to determine if the system can pick out the decoys from the actual warheads. Reports from an unnamed source said that the system performed well beyond the expectations of all involved.

Excellent. Great to see nations employing this technology.

Once we build the reliability into the system we will look at the export of this tech.

Sounds like your doing well so far. Keep up the good work, and keep us informed. An ally of an ally is our friend.
