Would any good rpers be interested in a first contact type rp? It would involve making contact with a race of people who I don't think have been played on NS before and are somewhat hidden. It would be a particularly appropriate rp to do with a human or elven nation but any are welcome.

I've currently got a similar RP going... http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=89505 and until Silmessë fully emerges into the world, it's unfortunately not able to interact in other RPs.

Daemonic nations are fine. And the sidhe as given in WW's C:tD, which are closer to Daoine Sidhe than any other historical legend but with a distinct way of fitting in with the modern world. It's fairly new to NS, so far as I know, and what I do for most of my other rping. By the way, Silmesse, your rp is very high quality IMHO. *Claps*

((There's a Hunter PS2 game. But Hunter sucks. Go to your local comic shop and ask to see their White Wolf section. Perhaps pick up Vampire, or maybe Werewolf to start off. ))

I don't read comics. Nor do I have a local comic shop in fact. I'll stick to using my imagination to generate my stories for the time being.

Not to sound ungrateful, but how will I benefit from looking at the website? All I want to do is RP a daemon nation, and I like the way it's going so far.

You don't need to be familiar with it to do the rp anyway. I've modified it some for NS (namely by taking out a lot, if not all, of the hardcore supernatural magical powers and what not to ensure my nations power level isn't significantly beyond the power level of a current day human nation of the same stats) and you wouldn't know about the characters before meeting them ic anyway. And I don't take stories from any from anywhere but my imagination. Character races i take from elsewhere as do most people, be it elves from Tolkien (or actual mythology or other fantasy sources), vampires from this or that horror source, humans from the real world, etc. Of course, some people do make up whole races as well as characters and stories and most of them I've seen are quite creative.

Ok, the daemons I use are made up by me on the whole, though I use names which may mean something different to someone else.

I'm a nation composed of about 85% moon elves, 10% vampires, and 5% other (mostly elves). What have you guys got for me?

1% sidhe, 2% boggan, 2% eshu, 2% nocker, 2% pooka, 2% redcaps, 2% satyr, 2% sluagh, 2% trolls, 82% human, and the other one per cent divided amongst other races

Damn redcaps . . .
