Krowemoh unveils new Bipedal Tank Design!
After many years of research and numerious failed attempts, Krowemoh Weapons R&D Department has finally announced a working model bipedal tank, called MFX-02 Metal Fake. The first Metal Fake will be showcased to Prince Rufus Mew for his approval. Upon being approval, Gowa Industries will handle mass production of the Metal Fakes.
In other news, Vector Industries announces new Realian design, appropriately catagorized as Mech Warrior-Grade Realians, or 403 Series for short. These Realians will be the pilots for the new Metal Fakes once they are intregrated into the Krowemohian Armed Forces.
Government officials have stated that they have no intention of selling the Metal Fakes or the designs/prodction rights to foreign nations.

Stats
Total Height: 4.6 meters
Total Weight: 3 tons
Gross Weight: 5.6 tons
Crew: One pilot
Weapons: Assorted. Can be equipped with 65mm Rapid Fire Cannon, LOSAT (Line Of Sight Anti-Tank) Luancher, 25mm Machine Gun, 75mm Recoilless Gun, Arm Mounted Grenade Luancher, Head mounted 50mm Grenade Luancher, Head Mounted Smoke Dischargers and Rail Drivers. Sand Barriers in the Ankles are factory installed.
Note: In the pic, the Metal Fake is shown with a LOSAT Launcher.
Restrictions: Due to battery limitations, a Metal Fake can only operate independently for about half an hour. Gowa Industries is currently working with Government Agencies to develop an external mode of transportation for the Metal Fakes, as well as portable external batteries.
A Metal Fake equipped to it's maximum capability can hold two (2) 65mm RFCs, or two (2) LOSAT Launchers, or one (1) 65mm RFC and one (1) LOSAT Launcher; Head Mounted 50mm Grenade Launcher, Head Mounted Smoke Dischargers; two (2) 25mm Machines Guns, or two (2) 75mm Recoilless Guns, or one (1) 25mm Machine Gun and one (1) 75mm Recoilless Gun.
A typical outfitting would be one (1) 65mm RFC, one (1) LOSAT Launcher, Head Mounted 50mm Grenade Launcher, Head Mounted Smoke Dischargers, one (1) 25mm Machine Gun and one (1) 75mm Recoilless Gun. However, depending on the mission, not all available slots may be used.
A standard MF Company would be four Metal Fakes, one Command and Control Vehicle and one Metal Fake Transport Vehicle.

Intresting, not that we use Mecha that would be the Tordorans who are big on those, they got two types, assault and defense. Personally, I think any Mecha would be toast as soon as it ran into a JOAP MK1 Supertank along with about everything else in its way.

"Do not be so quick as to assume your tanks can outmatch a MF. Metal Fakes are designed for surperior urban combat, and can go anywhere a human can, only faster. However, tomorrow, when the Metal Fake is matched up against one of our most advanced tanks in a mock battle, we shall see which is the greater weapon."

Anywhere? I would dispute that claim. Anywhere it can fit, perhaps; but it is simply too large to go absolutely anywhere a human could.

Well..they are very nice..though I would have to dispute the claim they can "go anywhere a human can". 4.6 meters is about 15 feet tall...and 3 tons....yeah.
And...the fact they can only go a half hr on a recharge..that rather kills the purpose of a mobile unit, if it lacks the range to explore or pursue, no?
I do like the loadout though..it just doesnt seem viable at this point..it can only pursue for 15 minutes, then must go back or else be vulnerable.
My suggestion? Develop a type of fission (read: nuclear) engine that wouldnt go *boom* when poked with a stick.
If you are willing to work with our nation, we could perhaps work to solve this dilemma for you, for a price of course...

"Although your offer is enticing, I'm afraid that that's something you'll have to work out with the Krowemohian Government. Though Gows Industries is a private corporation, we are not permitted to make foreign relations without government approval first.
Mind you, these Metal Fakes are First Generations, and are likely to be rendered obsolete once our technology becomes more advanced.
The Metal Fakes are primarily designed as an Anti-Armor weapon, they are by no means designed to be an exploration team. We have hummers and jeeps for that."

We are willing to work through Gows Industries or any other government subsidiary to pursue a contract. We will offer a generous incentive, considering the rather closeness of the nation involved as well as the common ideals of purpose represented. If there is a way to contact you, please let us know. As for the anti armor theory...why need mobile suits then in this case? It seems a sinecure, a waste of time.

*private message to the Prince*
In return for blueprint and production rights of our own version of the "mech", we will help develop the engine to allow a much greater range to these mechs, and bring forth their true potential. You have everything to gain from this endeavour, we would never feel the need to invade a nation so like our own, it is unprofitable. In addition, we will offer the design of highly confidential radar systems, as well as an AI system to assist in target acquisition and independent targeting. As we said, we ask for the blueprints for the mech and all weapons systems in return.
We hope this offer will only be the start of future profitable relations between our nations.

Your offer is intriguing, but I'm afraid I will have to turn it down. The AI we use for the Metal Fakes is the most advanced AI my scientists can provide, and it will be only a matter of time before we ourselves develop macro-fission power cells. However, if you wish to establish a Trade Pact between our two nations, then you already have my approval. Merely contact Prime Minister Wedge Darkfur in the Office of Foreign Affairs and he will arrange the details of the Pact.

((OOC: A Trade Pact is just free trade between our nations. Krowemoh charges a Trade Tax of 10% on all tech and raw material traded to nations who are not an ally or hold a Trade Pact with us. nations on the Government Banned list have to pay an additional 30%, and enemy nations pay 100% Trade Tax. Don't assume they have can out match a JOAP mk1 one, the only they have going for them is speed as they could move farther than a JOAP but a JOAP is a seige and stalemated battle front buster. This is a JOAP:
JOAP MK1
Armament:
The primary armament of the JOAP MKI is a large 175mm artillery piece, mounted in the front of the vehicle. This is the main gun of the JOAP and is located on a turret that can rotate, etc. Two 140mm guns are located on turrets on the side of the tank. They can be moved from side to side and up and down but can only engage targets located on their side of the JOAP. The guns tubes can be replaced without dismantling inside the turrets. The guns can fire a variety of ammunition including APDS (Armour Piercing Discarding Sabot), HEAT (High Explosive Anti-Tank), HE-FRAG (High Explosive Fragmentation) as well as shrapnel projectiles with time fuses.
The JOAP’s gun can also fire the 9M119 Refleks (NATO designation AT-11 Sniper) anti-tank guided missile system. The range of the missile is 100 - 4,000 m and takes 11.7 sec to reach maximum range. The system is intended to engage tanks fitted with ERA (Explosive Reactive Armour) as well as low-flying air targets such as helicopters, at a range of up to 5 km. The missile system fires either the 9M119 or 9M119M missiles which have semi-automatic laser beam riding guidance and a hollow charge warhead. Missile weight is 23.4 kg. The guns automatic loader will feed both ordnance and missiles.
Also fitted is a coaxial 7.62 mm PKT machine gun and a 12.7 mm air defense machine gun. 3 5.45 mm AKS-74 assault rifles are carried on the storage racks.
Armor:
The JOAP tank is protected by both conventional armor plating and explosive reactive armor (ERA). It is known as the Kaktus (Cactus) and is among the latest in armor technology. It has about 105cm of armor.
The JOAP is fitted with the Shtora-1. This system includes infrared jammer, laser warning system with four laser warning receivers, grenade discharging system which produces an aerosol screen and a computerized control system.
It is also fitted with NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) protection equipment.
Propulsion:
The JOAP has a 1640 hp turbocharged engine. This engine can be fuelled by T-2 or TS-1 kerosene and A-72 benzine, in addition to diesel. The tank can carry up to 2,400 litres of fuel in the main fuel tanks and fuel drums. The fuel tanks are reinforced with armor plating.
The tank is provided with a snorkel for deep fording and can ford 5 metres of water with equipment which can be deployed in 20 minutes.
The mechanical transmission includes primary reduction gear, two planetary final gearboxes and two planetary final drives. The running gear features torsion bar suspension with hydraulic shock absorbers at 1, 2 and 6 road wheel stations and tracks with rubber-metallic pin hinges.
Fire Control:
The JOAP has the 1A4GT integrated fire control system (IFCS) which is automatic but with manual override for the commander. The IFCS contains the gunner's 1A43 day fire control system, gunner's TO1-KO1 thermal imaging sight which has a target identification range of 1.2 km to 1.5 km and commander's PNK-S sight.
The gunner's 1A43 day FCS comprises: 1G46 day sight/rangefinder with missile guidance channel, 2E42-4 armament stabilizer, 1V528 ballistic computer and DVE-BS wind gauge.
The commander's PNK-4S sight includes a TKN-4S (Agat-S) day/night sight which has identification ranges of 800 m (day) and 700 m (night).
The driver is equipped with a TVN-5 infrared night viewer.
Crew: There is a semi-sentient AI installed which allows the crew to be reduced down to 1 Commander, 3 Gunners, and a Pilot, a large Crew Compartment holds them all in armored safety.

Very well...we will accept a trade relations pact with your nation in support of our own. We already are developing our own form of anti-armor unit, one of which should be quite intriguing: powered armor.
Miniscule in cost to a full tank, yet efficient and equipped with the latest handheld weaponry as well as possessing far superior anti-personnel qualities. With the addition of energy based weapons systems in the possible future, we feel the "Demon Knight" will be something to be feared. However, we wish you luck in your endeavours.
( I would show pic..but it wont seem to let me. For those who know, its a graphic of the Power Armor Mk II of Fallout Tactics: BOS. A 3d Render pic)
Four Metal Fakes are showcased to a closed, private audiance consisting of Prince Mew, his daughter Yumi, General Hiedegger, and a select few from various defense related government agencies. The Metal Fake Company takes on a small Armored Calvery Detachment consiting of four MBTs and support units, including APCs, Armored Anti-Air Tanks and the like in an urban enviroment, complete with skyrises, bridges, shanties, smaller structures and even a 1/4 mile long segment of a freeway running across the mock city. The test is a resounding success, the Armored Calvery being able to only take out one of the Metal Fakes and slightly damage another before all units were wiped out by the humanoid mechs.
*Hours later, the needed paperwork is filled out, and Prince Mew gives his personal, official approval of the Metal Fakes, and the units will be incorporated into Krowemohian Armed Forces to suppliment current Armored Divisions and other duties. Vector Industries, as well as Gowa, are both working overtime to pump out the needed Metal Fakes and the Mech-Warrior Grade Realians who will pilot them.*
((OOC: Corinna (That's me!) tired now, need sleeplies... V_V Maybe will do a more detailed verison of the battle if enough peeps are interested. For now, though, just know that Metal Fakes are approvaled. Oh, and HERE (http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-8/338831/miharubio.jpg) is a pic of a female Mech-Warrior Grade Realian in her Metal Fake Connect suit, with her helmet off. Realians, unlike their creators, look human, with the exception that their hair is usually an unnateral color, I.E. Green, pink, purple etc etc, and their eyes are pupilless. Females wear purple and white connect suits, while males wear orange and black colored suits. Mech-Warrior Grade Realians are specially designed to handle the high stress involved with piloting a Metal Fake.))

Gowa Industries anounces new battery for the Metal Fake, called "L-Shaped Battery." This new battery allows a Metal Fake to operate for up to 36 consectutive hours.
Gowa Industries also announced today that plans for a new type of Metal Fake are already on the drawing board. The new Metal Fake is codenamed "MFX-03 Metal Fake Type T.A. (Tactical Armor)." Information beyond the codename is currenly not available, but Gowa representatives have have promised the new Metal Fake will not just be an upgrade of the old one, but rather a new and original design completely.
