The Oppressive Church of today, is relatively peaceful. People go about their everyday lives, not very much concerned with the outside world, or their government. But the Government of the Oppressive Church is extremely concerned with it's own condition. Over the past months, the Oppressive Church has been thrown into Anarchy, attacked by Terrorists, Annexed by a much larger nation, and then let free from the larger nation's grasp, after the Church had retaken control, and the country returned itself from Anarchy.

These events that happened in rather fast succession of each other, have left the country economically collapsed, with virtually no Government system. Before these events accrued, the country was about to adopt a Constitution, and be on the long road to Parliamentary rule, after nearly 200 years of being ruled by a Church Hierarchy. The Constitution, along with all other types of government were scraped during the Anarchy, Terrorism, and Annexation. Today, the country is ruled by the Archbishop, as it was before. But before, there were large civil councils, that governed a great deal of the country, and were not church run. Today, there's nothing. It is essentially an Absolutist Country, with one absolute ruler, and nothing else. This has created stability in the country, but economic collapse. The Church knows that eventually, something's got to give. Either the Economy will entirely cease to exist, and the populace will rise up from poverty to overthrow the Pacifistic Church rule, or the Church hands over rule to a democratic System that can recover the economy. The Church doesn't want to do either, and the country continues to fall into a vacuum, awaiting it's imminent doom.

Besides that morbid prediction of destruction, the country is celebrating over 200,000,000 Citizens and complete Stability. Stability may not be something other nations think much of, but this country lacks it constantly throughout it's history...
