The Underground City is located in the daemonic realm Niogoul Maeromirpli (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=display_region/region=niogoul_maeromirpli), only accessible from earth by magical portal.
The Landscape of Niogoul Maeromirpli is barren and sandy, and the weather is invariably hot and dry.
Deep under the surface is The Underground City, the only highly populated part of the realm.

YlimNeicna Daemon
The Supreme Dictator Dorusceronis and his brother Atanracnad are the only YlimNeicna in The Underground City. This powerful race of daemon boasts great size and strength, though not at the expense of speed or agility. Their tough, armour-like skin makes many weapons useless against them.
YlimNeicna do not suffer aging, and as such live indefinitely. Their time allows them to amass great knowledge, and many YlimNeicna are highly intelligent. The YlimNeicna, as well as being considered a species of daemon, is also considered a family. Their ancestry is written down on many books in the family library, hidden away in The Underground City.
Vampire
The vampires of The Underground City are much like many other vampires. They drink blood to live, and are harmed by direct sunlight. The permanent night of The Underground City makes it a popular home for many vampires.
The vampires are pale skinned with hair that is black, grey or white, though other colours do occur. Their eyes are almost always red. They have great strength and speed compared to humans as well as grace, agility and stealth. They can hear quieter sounds than many species, and see in dimmer light.
Many vampires are important figures in The Underground City, mostly in the private sector, but a few apply for government jobs.
History
Beginnings
For several millenia, the realm of Niogoul Maeromirpli had been under the control of AdlavTsedur YlimNeicna, an ancient and powerful daemon. Though there had always been a heirarchy, AdlavTsedur took this concept to new extremes, not even giving responsiblities to his own sons Dorusceronis and Atanracnad, instead giving all control to himself and a few old friends. The two sons grew tired of this and Dorusceronis decided to start a rebellion.
The revolt was planned in secret long before actually taking place. While Dorusceronis calculated the best way to implement the rebellion, Atanracnad went about recruiting soldiers for their cause.
Civil War
Having recruited many of the daemons in the land as well as a band of earth-based necromantic warriors led by General Thintaedkran Anrusnya, the two brothers led their new army to battle.
Unaware of the conspiracy amongst their servants, AdlavTsedur and his generals were not prepared for a civil war. The battle was long and there were many casualties. Eventually, AdlavTsedur was cast into exile, and those loyal to him slaughtered.
Dorusceronis then took up role as Supreme Dictator, with Atanracnad as his advisor, and second-in-command.
The Underground City is founded
Upon seeing how easily his father's establishment had been defeated, Dorusceronis decided to create a fortress, hidden deep beneath the surface. He named their new home "The Underground City". A magical barrier was set up to prevent unwanted guest from teleporting in.
Invasion
After many uneventful millenia, something happened that made a very large impact on The Underground City. Numerous heavily armed soldiers appeared inside The Underground City, despite the barrier. With their laser rifles and enchanted swords, they slaughtered the majority of The Underground City's population. They were soldiers of LuceEterna, a country run my the mad emperor, Michael Trent, and The Holy Order of The Unconquerable Light that he led.
Meanwhile, Atanracnad was away from the City with an enslaved human seer, searching for a prophesised psionic boy. He was found, along with a deadly creature known as Jarboe, who inhabited the body of a man called Rynehart, and regularly took over in order to kill. The boy, Roberto, used his psionic power to ensnare the creature and took him back to The Underground City. Upon preparing to open the barrier, Atanracnad noticed that there was no barrier - something very worrying. Instead, he teleported straight to Dorusceronis with Roberto, Jarboe, the Seer and two others that had met him there: Ranawhin, servant to the YlimNeicna and Armitage, agent of allied nation Jingcrondolia. Dorusceronis had escaped with Legnerihes, but the leader of the necromantic warlords, Thintaedkran had been slain in battle. Unbeknown to them, they had been followed by a man called Justinian, who freed the Seer from their control, and escaped to The Underground City to try and warn that the daemonic forces were regrouping.
Reclamation
The YlimNeicna, Roberto and Armitage teleported back to The Underground City to defeat Trent, while Legnerihes attacked with an army of the undead, made of the corpses of the dead from allied nation Yurka. Also fighting the soldiers were Jarboe and Ranawhin, who had taken on Jarboe's personality traits after forming a psychic link.

Their education was mostly self-taught in the family, which their father put no restrictions on, as he never used it. Dorusceronis was highly interested in politics, warfare and history, and he soon became an expert in these fields, unbeknownst to his father. From reading about his own family's history he discovered that this father was not only an incompetent leader, but also a shame on the family name. He was nothing but a rowdy warlord, who had never accomplished anything noteworthy. Disgusted at what his father had let their ancestral home of Niogoul Maeromirpli become, Dorusceronis set about planning a rebellion. The civil war was short and devastated the supporters of AdlavTsedur, the survivors of whom fled with their leader to an unknown location.
After winning the war, Dorusceronis set himself up as Supreme Dictator in a fortress he called The Underground City. He shares a lot of his power with his brother Atanracnad, who has always been loyal to him. Dorusceronis tends to deal with matters of defense, international relations, and law and order, whereas Atanracnad tends to be involved with internal affairs including commerce and magickal & scientific research.

Dorusceronis' brother prefers to work behind the scenes, keeping the nation running, but showing no public face. Like Dorusceronis, he spent much of his youth reading in the library, though he read into many topics such as magick, biology, and literature. His efforts towards the Niogoul Maeromirpli civil war were invaluable. He trekked across numerous worlds in search of warriors worthy of a place in their rebel army. It was on earth that he stumbled upon a band of necromantic warlords led by Thintaedkran Anrusnya, who became great figures in their army, and all gained lordship in The Underground City after the war.
As well as intellectual pursuits, Atanracnad has an interest in combat. His skills with a sword are the best in the nation and his movements have a grace unprecendented for a being of his size.

Thintaedkran was originally a soldier in one of humanity's many armies. He fought it many wars and gained a respectable rank. During a minor military operation, Thintaedkran had temporarily left his cohort to relieve himself in nearby foliage. However, when he arrived he noticed an old man performing necromantic magick in the seclusion of the trees. So impressed was Thintaedkran, that he asked the man to teach him this dark art. Much to his content, the old man accepted and Thintaedkran became a great necromancer. He then taught the skill to a handful of his more competent subordinates. With their newfound power, their emperor's ambitions no longer seemed significant. His cohort broke from their army, and became feared raiders; feared, at least by the few who survived meeting them. As their underlings died, the necromancers reanimated them, though their warriors soon fell apart after too many deaths. The warlords themselves, however, grew massively in fighting ability. Age no longer had hold on them. They would be strong and fast for all time.
The warlords soon tired of this life of warfare. They had struck city after city, destroyed army after army, and it was beginning to lose its appeal. Instead, the group went about exploring the dark magicks in greater depth. They used their magick to keep themselves alive indefinitely, though the physical alterations were very apparent. Some, including increased highed and strength were deliberate.
It was after nearly two centuries that they met Atanracnad YlimNeicna, whose service they joined, taking them to a battle worthy of their participation.
After playing a crucial role in the overthrowing of AdlavTsedur, Thintaedkran and his companions were made into lords and given positions in The Underground City's government, mainly pertaining to defense, and law & order.

A human male that gained powerful psionic powers during his adolescense. His birth prophecised several millenia in advance, and known only to the YlimNeicna. Atanracnad was sent, in the guise of a human, to gain the boy's alliance. Roberto gladly accepted, and journeyed to The Underground City. His power was tested very soon, as the city had been invaded, and he had to help fight to reclaim it.
