EOTED Condemns SATO For 'Lack of Ideological Flexibility'

...and, of course, this administration feels that SATO is greatly lacking in flexibility in certain areas, such as ideology. SATO has 'been seen' to make efforts at 'patching up' relations with certain 'foes' in the past, but has never made more than token efforts, and has been wholly unyielding from our viewpoint. Being the exception rather than the rule, the socialist Empire of the Eternal Dawn was indeed accepted into SATO - but entrance into the WBO is wholly blocked, due to our planned economy being percieved as a 'threat' to the capitalist economies of the WBO.

Whereas our wholly socialist and capitalist friends and allies bicker ceaselessly as to which side is correct, the Empire merely prefers to hold the position that both and neither are correct - and leave it at that. Why bicker on such a petty subject?

And this inflexibility lies at the root of the reasons for the Empire's withdrawal from SATO; we do not feel that peace is likely with CACE, and, as we have no vested conflict with CACE in general, we do not feel the need to put our People in the position of being embroiled in yet more conflict at the behest of foreigners who cannot agree with each other...

EOTED, you must cease your endless warmongering. You try to take control of others for pathetic reason. "A lack of ideological flexibility." I cannot believe that you want to condemn someone because they refuse to think the same way as you. If they left you out of their group, suck it up and move on. I have been rejected from half a dozen groups in the past. It has not affected me in the least. This is completly pointless. Do not take it any farther.

You fail to understand the point of the Empress' speech, little one. It is not that others do not wish to take up our ideology - why, we do not want them to! No, our point is that they are inflexible, not us. They do not desire to seek peace with those who have different viewpoints, not truly; mere words are all we have seen, at any rate. No actions - except those that tell a different story, of course.

Yet we, being perhaps a rather complex mixing of many ideologies, strive to promote stability; whether they are capitalist, communist, socialist, fascist - what matter is it? So long as we all can talk, we all have common ground; but talk must eventually be met with actions, and that is where SATO lacks flexibility - I believe the human expression is, 'they talk the talk, but they do not walk the walk'.

Well, why does it matter to you? The way they handle their affairs are their buisness. This is reminicent of what happened with AMF. You did not like the way he did things, so you attacked him. I suggest you stop this before everyone loses patiance with you.

OOC- I'm not so small that you can call me 'little one'.

Truly, little one, you ought to pay attention. The Empire only recently left SATO; their business, until very recently, was also our business - in truth, it still is, as we still have allies inside SATO.

I would like to point out to the world in general, but especially to the Empire of the Eternal Dawn, who SeOCC has recently re-opened diplomatic relations with, that SeOCC does not claim correctness but appropriateness. Marx was an advocate of capitalism in certain historical conditions, so we do understand the importance of capitalism and the social and economic changes it brings. You will notice we do not seek to create non-capitalist revolutions in agrarian nations, as this would surely fail.

We look forward to rebuilding the ties between our nations and coming to recognize and develop the common ground between our nations.

Point well taken, friends, yet you cannot deny that a certain amount of bickering does occur - and as we are outside the situation, we can state with all fairness that both sides bicker equally.

We also greet the oppurtunity to rebuild the ties between our nations and feel that the only true way forwards is always through peacable and diplomatic means; may our futures be mutually safe, friend.

We don't deny bickering, we call it outright conflict, we merely wish to clarify what the conflict was about. We are not dogmatists, and for us this is about material conditions, not ideology turned religion.

how can you even claim that, when i'm willing to support a wide diversity of economic systems, and you will only endorse capitalism?

rephrase as necessary if you want this ic.

I 'endorse' loads of economic systems. I just, by definition, have only one. And please note that I do not play a 19th century capitalist nation. Rather I have a liberal democracy and a welfare state I might add. IMHO the things are centuries apart.

However Knootoss is friends with nations ranging from nationalists/imperialist to conservatives to liberals (most allies) to socialists and even the occasional "anticapitalist" like Tanah Burung.

So, how about we draw up a documen regarding reductions of IC/OOC tensions? I have a few things in mind...

Then I sadly have to conclude that you either are 'ideologically inflexible' here or that you just have no interest in reducing tensions. I'll make a proposal soon anyway, maybe the other CACE members are interested in ending this.

putz:

1) we have closed diplomatic channels with you, so you can't contact us ic. and re: the CACE, given your ic and especially ooc shenigans i don't see you getting the majority you need to reverse the decision.

2) i don't like you, you know this. i'm quite comfortable not liking, and see no reason to talk to you MORE about anything. go away.

I'm not even talking about restoring contacts, just reducing tensions or a good reason to stop the bitching going back and forth, but I will bear your ill will in mind. I just hope that a lot of people read this and that they will see how childish and immature you really are acting like sometimes.

this is the sound of me laughing at the guy who calls me names (Sea Orc) calling me childish. i was honest: i don't like you. like normal people, i don't talk to people i don't like. it's part of not liking someone. i don't reply to your threads, stop replying to mind if you want to end the bitching. get pro-active, not pointy-fingers-call-me-names.

That from the very person that called Stephistan a fucking bitch, me an asshole (and several other things), EOTED a... something, my memory isn`t perfect, Menelmacar a bitch (and several other things), opened a private flame forum just to 'flame' (well, not really, as we don`t have access) me and Menelmacar...

God, you`re funny. Seriously.

point of order:

1) i never said i was innocent, just pointing out some delicious irony.

2) i'd like to point out the difference between a public and a private forum (as the CACE HQ is)

3) the Coalition Board for the Arts is where we plot drawings and pieces of writing, largely unsuccesfully. it's locked because you should never look at an unfinished product, and frankly it's the kind of thing that deserve privacy.

4) i stand by every insult i ever hurled at you, M, and yes, even Stephistan. THAT'S called reliability.

and with this, i apologize to the EOTED for the hijack and bid you two putzes adieu.
