The Goa'uld
An intelligent parasitic species that has a faint resembelance to Earth. They employ religion to control the masses. Able to dominate almost any sentinent being in the galaxy, the Goa'uld quickly rose to power, especially after the discovery of Earth. Ever since discovering how to use the Stargate, the Goa'uld scavenge any technology they ran into. Incapable of any form of compassion, the Goa'uld were willing to do anything to achieve their goals. This made their rise to dominance quick and brutal.
The System Lords
Only a handful of Goa'uld have reached this rank. Every Goa'uld strives to attain this rank, whether through backstabbing or manipulation. To ascend to the rank of System Lord is the ultimate honor for the Goa'uld. Controlling dozens upon dozens of Star Systems each, the System Lords were feared throughout the Galaxy. They instilled fear and death into every world that was conquered. Even more often, the System Lords would devastate entire worlds for trivial reasons, like bombarding a planet just because they loathed the color of the surface. Yet, they had one major flaw, their inability to get along. Because of this lack of comraderie, they regularly waged wars against one another. These wars would cost millions of lives and the burning of many worlds, wars were common during the Goa'uld brutal 10,000 year reign. But that is all in the past, today only a few SLs are left, with the Empire gone, almost all are in hiding in remote systems on the very fringes of the Galaxy. The rest staying within the confines on their homeworlds.
Rogue Goa'uld
These are Goa'uld that have been banished or went rogue for one reason or another. Most of the Goa'uld that go "rogue" are hunted and killed within days. However, there were some that suceeded, Lord Sokar is the perfect example. He built an army and fleet that easily matched the System Lords. Even today, he maintains the largest army of the Goa'uld, though he has lost much of his power thanks to the Tau'ri. Other than Sokar, most Rogue Goa'uld states last only a few years before being brougt down by the System Lords.
Minor Goa'uld
Underlings of System Lords and Powerful Rogues, nothing more than a bunch of pawns.
Slave Races
Humans-They make up the bulk of The Goa'uld enslaved. The Goa'uld use humans for everything from hard labor to combat soldiers in the form of Jaffa.
Unas-A Humanoid reptilian. The first race to be enslaved by the Goa'uld. Made obsolete by humans.
Elves-The Goa'uld Sokar hopes this fascinating species will replace humans someday.

I don't like the sound of that. We Atlantian's will never let you enslave us.
As a fellow "parasite"-based force, we applaud your display of force around the universe. We are currently growing as well, and we have struck fear into many civilizations in the Galaxy and the next.
We too will do a summary thread of the structure of our armies and slave forces. Expect to see it sometime soon.

The Borg are no Parisite based. They are "assimilated" into the Collective. Difference

The Borg are no Parisite based. They are "assimilated" into the Collective. DifferenceSame thing though... they infect people with parasites (in their case, nano-parasites/nanites) to enslave them and bend them their will.
