Emperor dies
Today after nearly 40 years of rule Emperor Vincent the III died of a previous exisiting heart condition. He was the first Emperor to return to the throne after the dethronement of the false Emperor by the Inquisition. His rule was much praised by the people of Belem has every Emperors has been. His death is a tragic loss to the Empire and his son Vito has promised to orchestrate a month long festival celebrating his reign.
Vito will be crowned Emperor later this week by the Archbishop of Belem. Currently he has no sons so no crown prince will be named.

This is a sad day for all catholics, everywhere. We would, however, offer to his son the chance to reenter communion with Rome, and to wait out the remaining years of his Holiness's life, and then vote for someone like, say, me, for arguement's sake, to take the Papal Throne.
