Yes, I'm moving AGAIN. Space is so overrated, although I will keep a substantial colony on Tharkad (Star League planet) and I have yet to discover if Scandavian States will continue to allow my membership in the Star League.

The move will begin now, and will be completed by Sunday, November 17, 2003. (Today is Friday for me for all you Aussies out there)

I will keep my same form of government and everything, although what is now called "Arctique Island" will not be the new homeland. I'll have that up in a bit. Also to come is an IC post. Stay tuned! :)

Scandavian States has accepted that we keep a colony on Tharkad. The movement begins now.

IC:

I am most pleased that this move shall take place very quickly, and all of our spacecraft are carrying at least several million at the moment. Our crews on Earth have already prepared everything for the new capital and homeland, which is approximately the size of the Southeast United States. It is located in the far Northern areas of the Atlantic Ocean. I will provide more information later.

As Empress, this move has been voted on in the Imperial Council, and a special vote was held amongst the Penguinatan population on Tharkad. Overwhelmingly, Penguinatans wanted to move back to Earth and abandon space forever.

I will ensure that a colony that accounts for 10% of our population is left on Tharkad. It will be protected heavily, by ourselves and other nations of the Star League. I wish to thank Scandavian States for allowing us to do such a thing.

I understand that many will deem this as a political move. When I first came to power, the former president, Jake McDermont, resigned due to the fact that IdP had become space-based. I have spoken with him, and he has declined the office of President back. I am honored that he has done so.

I leave you with a happy heart, and may we prosperous as we continue to be. Vive le Dominion!

We are both sad and happy to see you go. Sad, because we loose the proximity of good friends. Happy, because now have a connection to Terra again. We wish you and your people well, Kei Cho, our door is always open to you should you wish to visit.

Yes, I use a lot of emoticons. Is that a bad thing? :P

The move is halfway complete. I'm trying to get a map up of the newly settled area, it's climate, and size. I'm hoping to have that information up by 16 Nov.

[Sorry, I missed this post.]

We are very fortunate to have such a friend as your nation, and we wish to ensure you that our colony on Tharkad will be highly active and I will strive to make it powerful. In fact, I plan on making it part of a new Commonwealth I am designing. The new commonwealth nations of Colonial Tharkad and Arctique Island will be the first.

I am grateful and honored that at your kindness. I will indeed visit, hopefully within a year. (NS) I wish to thank the Star League for its benevolence towards the Dominion (soon to be Corporate Commonwealth), and all those that have supported us.

Vive le CCIDP! (Corporate Commonwealth of Isla de Penguinata)

And here's the map of Mainland Isla de Penguinata! *Drumroll* (This is my first time hosting my own image :D )

The gray area represents the populated area of Chokai, the Penguinatan capital. The dark gray in the central island that the red dot is on is the downtown sector.

Geography

In the northwestern region of the Mainland, it is very mountainous. Mostly evergreens populate the northwestern region, although a rare Oak is seen. The average summer temperature is 40°F. Summer months are July and August. The average winter temperature is -20°F. The northwestern region is very rural, except for North Creek, which has a population of around 450,000.

In the central plain, there is relatively flat land, though it is heavily forested with evergreens, oaks, hickory, and sycamore trees. Average summer temperatures are about 65°F, while average winter temperatures are around 15°F. Summer months are June-September. The central plain is rather populated, and stretches from Arundemont to St. Monville (the orange dot). Arundemont is the second-largest city in the nation, at 20 million inhabitants.

The eastern region of the Mainland is very hilly and has many trees. The trees that occupy the eastern region tend to be maple and magnolia, although evergreens are widespread. Average summer temperatures in the eastern sections are 50°F. Summer months are June-August. Average winter temperatures are 25°F. The eastern section is rather populated, and stretches from Triumdaut to St. Monville.

The southern region of the Mainland in very rural, with little villages dotting the countryside, and resembles that of northern England. The temperatures in the South tend to be higher because of water currents in the Atlantic that brush along the southern coast. Many different trees flourish in the South, mostly magnolia and other dedicuous trees. Average summer temperatures in the South are around 80°F. Summer months are May-September. Average winter temperatures are around 25°F. The largest city in the South is Maidonas, at a population of 300,000. The southern section stretches from the Bay of Vostirqk to Maidonas, and stays below the Lanisa River (Luh-nee-suh).

The western region of the Mainland is heavily populated, and is almost completely urban, with the exception of government-enforced "green zones", which cover a 20 sq. mile area every few hundreds miles. The trees that do exist in the western region are dedicuous, with a mild population of evergreens. Summer temperatures average around 45°F. Summer months are July-September. Winter temperatures average around 0°F. The largest city in the West is Chokai, with the city limits housing over 35 million people. The entire western region, which stretches from the far reaches of suburbs north of Chokai to Vostirqk, has a total population of ~150 million. ( :o ) There are mostly hi-rises in the West, although some suburbia does exist. :D
