It was a cold stormy day in Garrison II, after 48 hours of debating the Garrison II Parliment has decided in a 140 to 40 vote that Communism would be a crime, and that known memebers of the communist party would be arrested and put on trial for treason against the motherland. The shocking legislation was passed after a failed Coup by the Communist Party of Garrison II and the publics demand for revenge. This after 4 new anti-communist and imigrant laws. This does not apply to any other left-wing and socialist factions. Average citizens are shown to support these laws. One bystander even said

"We need to hang those commies for treason! Kill them all"

Left wing politicans are shocked at the intolerance of the people, and demand more money for welfare to educate these "peoples"

They have also asked the Supreme Court to declare this legislation unconstitutional. A special re-education program will be offered. The Emperor has not stepped in.

The People's Republic of Caselonia will open its borders to refugees from this law as well. While in Caselonia we do not allow opposition parties at the moment (the nation is simply in too tenuous a spot right now), we can only make it known that we will condemn all acts of violence and imprisonment against the members of the outlawed Party.

However, banning parties and imprisoning citizens because of the emotions of the mob (i.e., "public demand for revenge") is simply not sound governance.

We remain neutral on this issue with the exception of the above conditions and urge Garrison's dissidents and refugees to consider Caselonia as the start of their new lives.

The Free Land of Rocky Open Sea has issued a travel warning to all citizens to avoid Garrison II until further notice. Citizens already in Garrison II are urged to pack and leave in an orderly fashion. A limited number of seats will be available on the ROS External Affairs planes which will be taking our ambassador and most of our embassy staff back home. After November 21st, ROS citizens still in Garrison II are on their own. Direct flights to Garrison II will be excluded from National Aviation Insurance Board coverage and the Fuel Price Stabilization Rebate.

Citizens of Garrison II who wish to emigrate to Rocky Open Sea will be considered political refugees and will recieve expedited review. Applications can be made from ROS ports of entry, in contrast to usual practice, on humanitarian grounds.

Though my government will not take a similar stance against Communism, despite our disapproval of it, we support our ally's sovereignty. Garrison II has the right to take such actions when the organization threatens his people. I urge all those nations threatening military action to consider that fact, as well as the fact (as Garrison II stated), that he has many allies that will defend him from such idocy.

You are all commiting something that is shifting you towards Communism. You are executing people for Political Crimes, which is increasing the government, and discarding the people. You are executing people for having a strong, undying, sense of Nationalism, and for being willing to sacrifice for their nation. You should all be using this valuable commidity, instead of discarding it. These are people who will work for your country on any level, and be happy doing it. Yes, Communists are Radicals, but what good is an idea if it's not worth fighting for. The Communists are fighting to bring your nation to a higher standard, and you simply shot them like dogs. This is what Karl Marx predicted in the Communist Manifesto, all you are doing is starting an uproar of the working man, and causing the upper classes to lose some of their rights. Anyone who executes Communists is going against Democracy, and is shifting towards Communism. No one can say that executing Communists is for the good of the nation, because all that it is doing is destroying the one hope your nation has! Garrison II, while we respect your right to sovereignty and will not attempt to intervene in your nation's decision (though we disagree with it), we would like to make you an offer that we hope will save your nation money while saving the freedom of those that you seek to rid yourself of. Would it be acceptable for you to send those convicted of being communists to Xanthal? We would pay the transportation and immigration fees, as well as a small commission for your trouble. In turn, they would be barred from ever reentering Garrison II. While this is your decision to make, I sincerely hope that you will accept our offer. It may not carry the finality of locking them up or executing them, but it will keep them out of your affairs and stop them interfering with you. Think of it as a free ride for you, you get paid for making your criminals our problem. Sounds good, yes? We'll negotiate specifics if you're interested.
