Elves are a feeble, race, doomed from the beginning, they are not fit to live in a world of survival of the fittest, except as a fine delecacy. Most importantly elves are an insufferably biggoted an arrogant race, not even capable of considering themselves equal to other elves, and ready to put any race to genocide, for thousands of years our peoples have suffered from them, for there foolishness they will be destroyed.

The logistics get really complicated after about 15,000. You can have all the supplies in the world, it's about how the front line units are going to get them. Also, out of that 800,000, only about 100,000-250,000 are combat units, as logistics would require that if the frontline soldiers are to be supplied, it would require most of the other troops to do that. Now if those are just combat units, you must have sent milllions of your troops to support them, which would trash your economy with the sudden hole in the locxal and regional markets where they were stationed.

<<OOC: You're right. If we're going to argue about it, we should do it somewhere else. I'll quickly say though, that I am not an expert on military logistics but my understanding is that you do not need three times the number of combat personel just to support the army. And our regional markets are taken care of by government hand-outs. But, again, since I think that arguing about it would clog up the thread, telegram me with your response to this post. If we can't come to an agreement regarding the real logistics of it, I would just say that since the vast majority of players on NationStates will use armies of many more soldiers than just 800,000, even if there is a small amount of lost realism, we should let it go for the sake of RPing. Remember that due to the sheer size of the countries we're talking about, a lot of conventional logistical thought wouldn't apply. If you consider that the United States recently sent an army of (about 150,000 or so?) troops to fight in a foreign country and that the ratio of population-to-army size is about the same in this, I don't see why it would be unreasonable to imagine an army of 800,000 troops.

we normally do that, but for attempting to hide on our rightfull land these ones were put to the torch, elves were long ago exhiled from my conquest.

Even an entire regiment of Dragon Knights of Caledor were present, the armor of the horse and the rider resembling the hide of a dragon.

We regret that we cannot deploy any assistance to thy nation, with so many tangled international affairs, but we will respond by punishing the elves of Troy; every Elven Trojan citizen will be taxed double compared to their human counterparts. This tax will not be removed upon our elves unless the wretched Siri decides that the bloodshed of thousands of men, and the the destruction of entire human cities does not justify the deaths of 5,000 elves.

I would suggest that Troy and Greece settle this themselves, largely because Greek Forces is apart of the Empire.
