The region of Sparrow is looking to hold regional elections on Saturday. I am looking for tips on as to running a democratic region.

I guess the best way of running a democratic region is to have all the members be UN members. Doing this allows each delegate to endorse other UN member nations, and the one with the most endorsements usually get the Delegateship and leadership of the region.
You can have fun "manifestos" and what the leaders promise to do if elected and "ministries" up for election or appointment to assist the regional leader... its all up to you.
every issue that has to be voted on is sent to a central e-mail address. all regional members e-mail their vote in to that address.
you have to collect all the addresses first.
