We decided to let the people party. Our laws are so tight that the people earn a special party day. Well that causes some crime and etc. but who cares? Even Ivan Nagunov, our president, came in the party and drunk some cold vodka.
Boring Monotones

 State of Emergency!!! The citizens of the Republic of Boring Monotones are prone to running wild and fearing an apocalypse if our college football team wins. (Granted, it's not that often, but...) For the safety of my citizens, I have ordered a state of emergency for Boring Monotones.
Cockbill Street

The people of Cockbill Street could do with a good party. The New Year's celebration will be marked by visitors from the local branch of Unseen University, but the people won't come out because they are busy scrubbing their tables
Wolfsreich

Wolfsreich went for the "read Jennifer Government" answer. I also can't help but think the most positive result from the issue will come with supporting the position of "obscure author and Perl amateur Max Barry"...it's my conspiracy theory and I'm stickin' to it.
Balligomingo

Time moves on – the people of Balligomingo feel that the One Year Anniversary is a time of reflection. The suspicion that our universe is simply a game or toy for another universe, that we can not even begin to comprehend, has appeared often in our literature.

I said reading. It is what I may well end up doing for this new years in RL. I*ll be visiting the family for the 1st time in 3 years, the books on my X-mas list, and 12/31-1/1 will most likely be spent in a motel room in rural Oklahoma. Long story short, I should be meeting my paternal birth grandmother at that time....

:D Good ole Zonk. Most Daistallians will probably be doing exactly that, but....

our folks are always partying anyway. I mean our currency is called "the beer."

Read a book, do whatever. If we relaxed the law much further the police would practically be breaking an entering themselves.
