While not much information is available on the subject, it is rumored that these upgrades are in response to the Mao-class submarine designed by Talkos.
The submarines are thought to be improved in the following areas. The new stat will be on the left, with the old stat in parentheses on the right.
Surfaced speed: classified
Endurance: 75 days (70 days)
[Editor's note: This is still five days below the patrol endurance of the Mao class.]
Torpedoes: 24 (23)
Submarine experts have speculated that advancements in AIP technology allow a more powerful and fuel efficient engine, while miniaturized systems could be making room for more supplies and torpedoes, but as of now, this is unconfirmed.
It will take quite some time to incorporate these improvements in all of the submarines currently in the navy.
