Team name: Rally Pheonix
Drivers name: Carlos Heinsen
Car: Huchinson III
Carlos sat in his trailer running through the routé in his head, he knew it was his co-driver Dave's job to tell him where to go, but he felt safe knowing himself. As he sat at small table the door swung open, but no-one was there. The confused Carlos stood and walked to the door-still no-one.
"Strange, crappy van" With that he kicked the cheap wooden interior, regretting it afterwards. he moved back to his chair and looked at the small alarm clock beside his notes.
"11:40am, well, time flies"
Carlos had a history of talking to himself, aswell as mild paranoa but he could tell the time, and he knew it was 5 minutes till go time. He grabed his eagles baseball cap and jogged through the van door, slamming it shut on the way. He got arround the back of the rusty old heap and saw his car. A beautifull deep blue color with two orange stripes down the window line.
"My beauty!"
He opened the door roughly and jumped inside-slamming the ignition button. He felt the car jolt a little as the suspension rolled into action and the engine began ticking over.
"Lets go" he muttered to himself as the sweet engine purred at him.
He floored the HIII out of its parking space and the engine roared as spectators hurried out of the way.
Only a few minutes later, Carlos and Dave where sitting on the asphelt surface with the engine sweetly throbbing.
The race lights hung neatly above the road as they flickered-red, orange one green, two green, three green, no green!
The car griped the road perfectly as they spead away from the fans down the straight.Dave read the pace notes for corners and speeds as Carlos gave life to the morning dew. He spun arround corners to keep omentum and speed and ran a good race towards the top of the first stage. The finnish insight carlos floored it again and hit the turbo. The chasis listed up as the car allmost leap over the finnish line.
In stage two Carlos was even less cautious, he loved short stages for sharp fast turning. And he was enjoying this stage-as he appraoched the climatic corner the car reared towards the snowy edge of the track. The back wheels caught in the thickening snow Carlos had no controll as th car spun accros the track. It sat for a moment before carlos began moving again, but now struggling with a dodgy axel he had to drive allways on the left. As he appraoched the final straight he refrained from the turbo just stopping over the line and leaving the car for the mechanics.
With his car duely fixed carlos set of down the mountain for stage 3, a little more cautious as the snow thickened he slowed, but as he wheels became adjusted to the surface he once again put pedal to the metal and sent the car hurtling down the long straight mountain roads. It looked like being a good time as the pair turned neatly through the inverting corners and S bends. The car seemed to behave like a bobsleagh through the bends, speeding as it rose to the upper edge and then hurtled out. Finishing the stage carlos felt good, a respectable time under his belt?
The final stage and the car was ready, more turbo and a booste engine tune for the long straight road. After the intitial few curving drops carlos got to speed again and began his route down the home straight-however far from home it was. The longest straight road in pablicosta liuved up to its name as the fuel level ran dangerously low-but afterburners and a fair portion of NO got Carlos and Dave over the finnishing line and o a van, ready to watch the rest of the competitors.

As Richard Mora sits in his tour bus (http://www.rocknrolltourbusleasing.com/images/matrix02.jpg). He looks around and admires the interior (http://www.rocknrolltourbusleasing.com/images/trigger04.jpg). "Wow, this is nice--If only it matched my car, hehe," he thought to himself. "Well, this is what I get for being best in all of Sliponia, and I love it. It doesn't match my car but it's still nice, and I won't take it for granted. Anyways, I need to get zoned in on my race if I want to do well. I hope this being in Pablicosta doesn't give Carlos too much of an advantage." Luke Herrington, the co-driver walks in.
"Hey Rich, it's time, are you ready to go?"
Richard takes a deep breath--
"Yeah Luke, I'm ready."
"Sweet man, it's time to rock out," Luke said in his best 80s metal voice.
Richard and Luke made their way out of the bus and to the tent and trailer where the Sutari SRX was parked. As the two started to get closer they could hear the fans in the area cheering them on. Richard noticed some people in the crowd had been at races in Sliponia. A few other people, he had seen on WRN, the World Rally Network, a TV station in Sliponia dedicated solely to rally. Richard and Luke secured themselves in the SRX and sped off to the start.
"We realy need to get a sound system in here," commented Luke.
"We could do it if," Richard responded, "we did something to lighten the car--as much as I love music and really love 12" subwoofers, we can't afford any extra weight."
"Oh trust me, let me call Mike, Steve, and Ike, and they'll be able to lighten the car, put in the subs, and the car will weight less then that it does now," Luke spouted.
"Oh, okay, but for now, let's focus on this race."
"Sounds good Richard, let's do this!" Luke exclaimed.
Richard pulled up to the line, revving the engine pumping himself up. The lights were ready to go-red, orange, green, two green, three green, lights out! Richard floored out of the gate as Luke grabbed his pen in order to take notes over the race.
"Man this is great," Richard thought to himself, "it's like last year's championship in Sliponia--the car is feeling divine!"
Indeed the car looked divine to everyone watching--until Richard hit a snowbank. He slammed the car into reverse and pulled out of the bank as quickly as he could.
"Every second counts, c'mon Dick, get in the game!" he though to himself.
After the incident with the snowbank, Richard was a little more cautious with his driving but still when as hard as he could. "Stage 2 Complete" is the billboard the caused a sigh of relief in the SRX--But they weren't finished yet. Stage three was left, the mountain stage. The car bobbed and weaved it's way through all the turns looking as good as ever. Richard and Luke seemed to be a little more relaxed towards the end of the stage. The next billboard read, "Third Stage Complete". Richard and Luke knew they need to give it their if they wanted to be serious competitors. As the road straightened out, Luke looked over at Richard.
"Keep the car healthy and we'll be in good shape. This straight-away is going to last forever, but we should be good."
"But what about gas?" Richard replied.
"Don't worry, we've got that contract with NOS (http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Products/NOS/NOS.jpg), remember? We've got enough NOS (http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Products/NOS/NOS.jpg) for our car, and a few others too!" Luke chuckled.
"I know we have plenty of NOS (http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Products/NOS/NOS.jpg), but how much is in the car?" Richard questioned.
"Trust me, we have enough to last us, now let's finish it." Luke said.
After driving, for what seemed to be forever as Luke had said, they coiuld see the final gate. With as the gas started to run closer to the big "E", Richard and Luke prepared the car for a boost of NOS (http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Products/NOS/NOS.jpg). Luke pulled out a laptop and went into the NOS setup program. "ALL READY" the screen read. Luke showed the screen to Richard who upon reading, grinned and kicked in the Nitro boost. The car picked up serious speed as it went airborn while crossing the finish line.

Kaze Progressa
07-12-2003, 10:29
Team name: Mud Progressa
Drivers name: Sassio LaViedia
Car: K-Speed Vassaza (Mud Edition)
OOC: Sorry I missed my turn, didn't realise this was still going. :O
Sassio's start time was 11:55am. Right after the home favourite.
'If the crowd put this guy off,' Sassio told co-pilot and brother Guntel, 'we could catch up and really stun him.'
'Not likely,' said Guntel. 'Ten minutes is an eternity in rally racing.' Especially with Guntel. He doesn't understand the terminology for co-piloting, which is about as useful as a pianist having a page-turner who can't read sheet music.
'If we got a new co-pilot, it would possibly happen...'
'STOP CRITICISING ME, SASSIO!'
What Guntel lacked in terminology knowledge, he easily compensated for with anger and style. And reasonable knowledge of the inside of a car. Enough, at least, to know that the first stage, with its fast corners, were good for a bit of long gearing. He slightly overdid it, it would seem, as the car struggled through the slower part of the stage, but on the long straights it was at least as fast as anything.
Stage two, and up the mountain round a series of the type of bends that powersliding was invented to handle. Sassio loved powersliding - but thanks to more than a few misjudgements of the nature of the bends from Guntel, he never showed his true colours, especially when on one occasion, informed a bend was much tighter than it was, he powerslid into a metal railing.
Fortunately, this was the third-last bend of the stage, and there was plenty of time for repair before the third and last stage. Equipped with grippy snow tyres and a cautious attitude, Sassio nursed his way through, almost ignoring Guntel now.
Inevitably, the anger was let out at the finish, in a series of mysterious events probably involving fists...

Look, you got SOMETHING out of it :D
Sassio came into the pits, bruised from Guntel's flurry of punches to the head. They saw the results. Somehow, the LaViedia brothers had come out three minutes clear in a three-horse race.
'My god, there must have been some serious *expletive deleted* problems with everyone else. Look, all the other *expletive deleted* cars apart from two didn't even *expletive deleted* turn up!' screeched Sassio.
Guntel merely nodded his head in sheer disbelief, before walking out of the pits.
Around ten minutes later, Sassio and Guntel ran into the welcoming arms of mum, before kissing sister Erue.
'So you tied for first then?' asked Erue. 'A tie is meant to be like kissing your sister.'
'No, we actually won it!' interjected Guntel. 'Dunno how, half the teams were absent.'
'Besides, Erue,' added Sassio, 'you're more kissable than most sisters.' And the whole family roared with laughter.

"Ladies and gentlemen, your winner for today Sassio LaVieda!! Please sassio, come colect the trophy. And the rest of you, the chopers are waiting to take you to the next race"
Richard: Come on, let's go. Hopefully we can win the next one...
