Istar's Moral Decay [open rp]
Grnak couldn't remember the last time he had seen the sun, he awoke from his dreamless sleep and took in the site of his cell as usual. The so called "cell" was in fact the size of a large walk-in closet with only a small clay pot and scraps of paper for toiletries. Grnak looked at the brand on his wrist, the serial number AG-1268 APEX, Grnak had some consept of what it all meant, the A meant his cell block (Cell Block A) and the G stood for the sector (Sector G) and the APEX was the Corporate Conglomerate that owned him. "Bastard humans." he thought as a small tray with his morning rations was pushed through the slot at the bottom of the door, careful not to chip his horns Grnak knelt and picked up his food, which was a few slices of bread and a small thing of water.
The healthy young minotaur ate at his food with gusto then pushed the tray back out as that was the rule. Grnak hated the Istarians who had been his slavers since birth but he knew when to count his blessings, at least he wasn't in the medical experiments block, or the Coliseum. Grnak looked at his hands, forever stained with black ash from his previous life as a mine-slave, he had worked in the mines all his life until the Istarian Companies and people began to turn to machines to do the work and for awhile now the Istarian Goverment had been doing everything it could to remove the minotaurs from the nation as machines could do better work than minotaur-slaves.
The means in which they did it were to put the bulk of the race into secret death camps and the rest into the Coliseum or Medical Testing Labs. Grnak didn't know this for a fact but he had heard plenty of rumors from fellow slaves that the death camps did exist and not a single minotaur ever survived them. Grnak did not wish to find this out first hand so he did everything he could to keep as low a profile as possible in the circumstance. He could only hope it was working.

A short, lean man dressed in a long brown trenchcoat and wide brimmed hat strolled into the firt security checkpoint of Cell Block A, Sector G, of the Istarian Minotaur Holding Pens. He approached the warden casually, an open smile on his face and an identification badge in one hand, "Good moring sir, my name is Sam Arbiter of the Health and Safety Commision. I'm here as part of a routine, random inspection to check the levels of background magic in state owned properties. May I enter the cell block itself?"

A man in an uniform of a deep brown color walked down the corridor. His nose had come accommadated to the musky smell. He carried a small women in his arms because she could not walk. She wore, well, barely a thin white cloth. It was barely attached by strings at the shoulders. It didn't go past her upper thighs. The way the man held her she was covered. He thought she should get alittle discency even though she obviously wasn't human, but she was female. He walked across a room from Grnak and he nodded to Grnak. He wasn't seen though. The corridors were dark at this time. He placed the girl softly to the ground and turned and left the room and locked the room. He walked away. His feet pounding away and soon disappeared. As the sound was no longer there. The once previously limp girl got up quickly. She wasn't wearing shoes, but her feet looked untouched. In fact her whole body looked very in shape. It was pale with slight tan color, but not too dark. She had huge dark eyes. They appeared black now, but normally were dark blue. Her face was oval shaped and her hair although was messy was long and shiny dark brown with red tints in it. She pulled at the metal bars and glared. She sat down indian style and closed her eyes. Then she spoke,"Why are you staring at me Grnak?" She laughed. It was childish, but mocking. "So, what are you in here for?"
The warden of Cell Block A, a short fat man who had the look of spending too much time behind the bottle, said "Sure, knock yourself out." the warden then swiped an ID Card and typed an 8 digit code into the computerized lock and opened the door, "You know the drill, Don't enter any of the cells themselves without at least three guards present at all times, you must not have weapons on your person, give nothing to the slaves ever especially paper clips or wire of any kind, we have had trouble with the stupid cows picking their handcuff locks before, any questions?"

"No sir, quite clear. I certainly don't want any of those stinking cows getting out and messing with good, clean honest folk." Sam walked through the door and into the block, giving a friendly smile and wave to the guard as he closed the steel bulkhead behind him. Once through, he took a small electronic instrument from his pocket, like a mobile phone or a handheld computer, and began fiddling with the dials and buttons as he walked around the cells.
At one point, he lifted his palm to the side of his head, as if scratching an itch. Quietly and carefully he murmured, "That was easier than I thought it would be. I wasn't even sure if they had a Health and Safety Commision."
A tiny voice in his ear buzzed a reply, "Don't get cocky, Sam. You're not even halfway there yet."
"Have you pinpointed the one we're after?"
"Two doors down, on you're left. Cell 1268."
Sam walked up to the cell and faced his back to it, standing in full view of the camereas. Very quietly he called into the cell so that only it's occupant and possibly the one opposite would hear, "Hey, 1268. Want out of here?"
Grnaz heard him clear as a bell, he had heard of several incidents of Psychological Games where the Istarians did this sort of thing to random minotaurs and leading them on a goose chase before putting them to death, yet if this was the real deal. It only took him a second to think this and to reply in a whisper. "Perhaps, unless this is another Istarian mindfuck."

"Oh no, no tricks. Well," he conceded, "Maybe one or two but they will be entirely necessary and no Istarian f---s will be involved in any way." He tapped a few commands into the instrument and swept it over the cell containing Grnaz. The electronic response flashed up on the screen, 10 Gigathaums at least. Very impressive. Well, here goes. He began talking to the creature quickly and impassively, as clearly and as buisinesslike as possible.
"I'm not gonna lie to you because I can tell you're not the kind of creature that takes being lied to lightly. If you agree to come with me you'll be swapping one owner for another. Your new owner will be strict. demanding, and possibly harsh but I promise you it'll be better than spending the rest of your life in a box trying to avoid making eye contact with the guards. You've got a very special gift and with the right training and the right experience you could be capable of... " he paused, "Well, I'll leave that to your instructor. Assuming we ever get that far."
Finally he turned to look directly into the cell, "So what do you say? Yes? Or no?"
"Of course yes." was the answer, but the wheels in Grnak's head were spinning, if this man was telling the truth and he could escape from Istar he would without a doubt be able to escape from his new "owners" and from there the sky was the limit, he could be free to live his life without fethers or chains but on his own terms, like the minotaur of old before they challanged the might of Istar and were defeated and enslaved.

The girl looked up and saw the short lean man talking to the other man. She stood up and spoke softly. "Excuse me. I hate to bother you, but can you get me out of here. It is so cold. And my people need me..."She started to trail off and tremble. "Please, I will do anything..."

As soon as Grnak agreed, Sam began operating the instrument with renewed vigour, pacing backwards and forwards around the corridor, apparently searching for the correct spot. "This is it. From here I should be able to phase you to within a mile or two outside the compound. Once you're out we will be able to collect you with ease and..." Sam stopped as the girl interrupted.
"Excuse me. I hate to bother you, but can you get me out of here. It is so cold. And my people need me..."
The voice in his ear buzzed again, urgently giving orders, "Leave her, Sam. You barely have the strength to get yourself and the Minotaur out of there. She means nothing and she is nothing."
Sam didn't move. the girl just sat and stared at him. After a few moments that lasted a hundred years Sam sighed, unhooked the radio from his ear and dropped it on the floor. "Sucker." He murmured quietly, and drew a revolver from inside his coat. "New plan." He declared and walked over to Grnak's cell. With a word and a touch, a tiny spark flew from Sam's hand to the lock, snapping it apart and letting the door swing open. "Damn, that stings. I don't have the power to lift all three of us, or even the two of you to safety. I'm going to unlock about a dozen or so cells, fry the electronics in the first terminal I find and get out of here. If you make it outside, my people will be able to collect you and carry you to safety. Untill then it's up to you." He unlocked a few more cells, including the girls and tossed her the revolver. "Good luck," he said finally, and disapeared around a corner.

She stared at the revolver. She looked at the man,"What do I do with this?" She walked with ease. She smiled at the man,"I do not need to be carried. In fact if someone needs to be I can do it. Thanks. All I need is a small briefing on this. I am a fast learner." She reached the man and kissed him on the check and waited for his instructions.

Backing away rapidly, Sam shouted his reply, "If anyone tries to stop you, point it at their kneecap and squeeze the trigger!"

She smiles at the man,"Okay, thanks. But I have other methods." Her eyes filled with a flame and then it was gone. "So, do we follow you?"

"I've got my own way out. Stick with the minotaur and we'll collect you outside."

"The minotaur is quiet. Sure, I will take care of him." She waited for the minotaur, Grnak.
The Warden heard the commotion and sealed the door (which was the only way in or out of the windowless cell block and turned off the lifesupport, then activated the emergency riot control system, the system released neuro gas into the chamber, the gas was designed to kill minotaurs but woulod do plenty of damage to a human by causing hour long paralysis in any human who breathed it.
"Well this will get me a promotion for sure." the warden through as the odorless and tasteless gas was released.

The girl smiled. "What a smart human he is." She looked at the human that was helping them and the other captives,"Back up as far as you can go. I will try and save our little problem, but there will be a explosion so cover yourself. I shall not be harmed." She saw where the vents were and where the gas was starting to leak in from. She had felt it. That was one of her uniqueness. The warden was wrong about it being odorless, gas did have a certain smell to it. Her eyes turned bright orange with flints of red in it. She placed her hand on the vent and out came flame. Just a small one to ignite the gas. It caught the oxygen and became intense flame. It caused an explosion and backdrafted to where the warden was and also opened a hole for the captives to go. The girl's eyes turned ice blue and her hand was raised to meet the fire that was coming. She froze the flame and turned and isolated the oxygen so the flame would not get worse and the fire was put out. "Hurry before more come." She motioned for them to go through the hole.

OOC: Well, for one, did you all want us to remain in the cell. And another is I must have missed the part where is said it was specifically nuero gas, which I have never heard of before. Yet, that is okay because I am not familar with weapons of the such.
