Nights in the Reich
Der Angst

It was about 10pm, when the object finally arrived at the 'Christ`s Soul', a rather well- known establishment for the middle class.
He had made the first contact a week ago, assumed that this particular individual would be perfect for his needs.
Karl Schmidt was his name, dark blonde, partly grey, hair, 175cm tall, 46 years old. Working for the Ministry for social order, Bridgette Iesus personal department.
He hadn´t found out too much about Karl`s personal life, but from his look, he seemed to have a rather depressing life. Obviously, he was not too eager to come home to his loving wife, spend most of the night in bars like the 'Christ´s soul', upper middle class, with relatively good reputations, not all to often raided by the police.
It was dark. They had late october, and it was an exceptional cold day. Drizzling rain fell from the sky. The atmosphere was depressing...
For a short moment, he thought about the similarities between Karl and him... He already knew that Karl`s career had come to an end. He wasn`t exactly the most liked in the ministry, as a matter of fact, he was an outsider. Although he never forgot to attend church... probably because he feared he would be imprisoned if he did miss it.
His own career had the same problems.
When he had infiltrated St. Dominic, the same day it was taken over by Iesus Christi, he didn´t know just how long he would stay here... it had been an excellent chance. He got an original Iesus Christi barcoding, something no one else had ever succeeded in, and due to the close coordination between both nations, he had finally been able to infiltrate Iesus Christi itself.
It hadn´t been without risk, true. He had been checked a dozen times. However, it DID help to keep a low- profile life... Like his current one, as a simple, small salesman.
Anyway, time to greet his 'new friend'. It wasn´t the best time to do what he planned to do, though. At least two agents were in the 'Christ`s soul', making sure moral decency is guaranteed.
Well, it was time to go. One way or another.
[ooc: I hate dozens of small dialogue posts, will stage that part on irc, probably...]

[ooc: Or make it up with Matty`s permission. Here we go.]
In DA, it was early morning. Young children went to their schools, workers to their work, CEOs sucked the blood of the working class... business as usual, so to speak.
In the solar system, a small DA exploration fleet reached Triton and begun it´s work, building a shipyard in orbit and a small base on the surface. Yet another of the construction workers made a mistake, the small piece of metal hitting through his spacesuit... another life ended within moments.
In The Reich, a spy and a frustrated member of the ministry of social order talked to each other...
"Hows it going?" He handed Karl a beer, watching him. Karl didn´t exactly look good, he supposed he had had some problems with his fellow colleagues.
"Sucks, as always..." Karl looked around, just to check if someone not invited did listen. Seemed like there was no one. "Anyway. This..." He took the beer. "Is here so we don´t have to think about it. Isn`t it?"
Max, that was the name of the agent, well, the fakename, simply nodded. "Indeed."
The conversation went on. Main topic was Karl miserable life... his evil wife, this envious bastards (he meant his colleagues), his ungrateful children...
Finally, after about one hour and six beers (for both of them) had vanished, the talk about his wife`s lover, his childrens never ending pleas for more money and his suprior who yet again ignored him while everyone else got promoted, not to mention the horrible weather and the recent rise of inquisition raids, the discussion became interesting.
"Ya know..." Karl, already half- drunken, continued his rants, or rather, finally replaced them, "aside from all the shit that happens to me, the drug tests, etc., one has to admit there is one cool thing about my job: The stuff we get to know..." Again, he looks around, seeing nothing suspicious... Max, however, saw something suspicious. Seems like Karl isn´t exactly trusted by his superiors... "Ya know, i got this report today... and it says we have two of the filthy SATO ambassadors in a MoSO prison..."
Now, this becomes interesting...
"Woah. Well, we`re the number one, after all. God is great."
"That He is." Karl took another sip from the beer, continuing.
[ooc: second part tomorrow, have to check with Matty first]
ooooh clever (no really nice story) any way please note i have reich in my name and the ceos dont bleed the working class dry (actually its vica versa) so you better ease up on that cos im a marxist and take offence and there could br trouble comin ur way.(but i really dont want to harm you)
The Capsule Corporation had recently sold off a chunk of their land and space on Triton to Der Angst. CEO Jacen Capsule had ordered no spies or anything, because for now, he would trust them, and let them be. But if Der Angst ever started to get negative attention on the International front, CC would probably see it in their best interests to keep an eye on their new neighbors.

Already more than 'a bit' drunken, Karl enjoyed the admiration Max showed for his 'incredible knowledge' and 'first hand information'. It was quite obvious Karl needed it.
"Unfortunately i don`t know which prison... Would love to go there, to spit on their dirty faces. Verminous scum, they are."
"Yeah... would be wonderful. SATO bastards, always trying to destroy what we build with our bare hands... the world we love, our utopia."
"But God is on our side. Glory to the almighty."
"His glory it is. Besides..." Max stopped, took another sip from his beer, and watched one of the agents... well, guests he suspected to be agents, step near to them. "What about this news i hear? That it is finally time to crush the SATO vermin and elven filth, EOTED first?"
"Huh? Ah, that..." Max watched the agent walking by, leaving his field of view. He just hoped he stayed away. Franz continued, not in the slightest worried. "They want to pull on us, now that they failed against the commies. Idiots, worthless scum. But i doubt anything will happen, they`re cowards, and in the end, all of them tremble in fear when we move."
"For god is with us."
"For God and the Lord Protector!"
While they drunk, Max could see the (supposed) agent come back in his field of view... far enough, he thought.
"To bad you don´t know where the SATO ambassador scum is imprisoned... i would love watching them just once..."
"Bah, it´s not like they would let us in." Karl lowered his voice, almost whispered. "However, i`m not sure where exactly the prison is, but i know the city... In the south west, a middle- sized city... St... St... St. Valentine. No idea where exactly the prison is, though. Well, in the end, it`s irrelevant."
They drunk until late in the night... well, not too late, as they didn´t want to catch any attention. Frank seemed to enjoy it.

The next day, Max stood up early.
At first, before even opening his tiny shop, he went to the ministry for Social Order. Well, not at first. The very first thing was to transmit all the information he got the last night to his 'contacts'.
---
Impressive amount of denunciators... he thought, watching the queue in front of him.
It took nearly an hour until he could finally enter the office.
He entered, closed the door, and watched the man behing the dest. A relatively small man, or so it seemed, he couldn´t exactly make out his size. Blonde hair, middle- aged.
"Yes?"
"God is great. Heil the Lord Protector Matthew!" He hesitated briefly, then continued with what he intended to do. "Ummm... i would like to make a complaint... to inform you about a person i know, a 'Karl Schmidt'.
"Thats what we are for. A few more details, perhaps?"
"Well... we talked to each other, yesterday evening... in the 'Christ`s Soul'. He seemed to be somewhat... illoyal. Talked about secret things, least i think they`re secret... a..." He hesitated. It was a risky game he played here, and he was likely to loose his life. He knew what happened to the first two agents DA had in Iesus Christi...
"So, are you going to continue or not?"
"Uhm... yes, of course." He watched the man in front of him, suddenly realised he didn´t get a name... well, it wasn´t to be expected. "About a MoSO facility... well, prison. Their prisoners, to be correct. Foreign ambassadors, he said..."
"I see... well, we will check into it. Your number, please?" He looked at his barcoding.
"Huh? oh, yeah, sure."
The officer checked the barcoding. "Ok. You can go now. God is Great, Heil Matthew!"
"God is great, Heil Matthew!" He was actually surprised that he was allowed to leave.
Well, sometimes even this regime allows one some freedom... By that, he meant that he wasn`t randomly imprisoned. He left the building and the cameras watching him inside.
The weather wasn`t to bad, the grey sky looked almost beautiful...
Well, back to work. he thought, while greeting trespassers with the usual "God is great, Heil Matthew!"

"Third warning on this one, other stuff is minor but he is now a Ministry worker and its a 'sinks ships' issue so, automatic investigation of him and the informer of the grade A treason information"

Northern DA, The manor:
It was after midnight. Still, practically everyone was awake.
"So, finally, we know about them. Their position, to be correct."
"Not really. You`re a bit too excited..." Althena rebuked her young minion.
"We know the city, and we cannot stage field research to find out where exactly the prison is. Our man leaving the capital would be... too risky."
"So, it is useless?"
"Not necessarily. We checked possible positions. First of all, it seems to be an underground complex..." She puts some satellite footage on the table. "At least, there is nothing at the surface indicating the possibility that it is a high- security prison. However, If you want to look here, here, and here..." She points at three red dots.
"Mhm... so, that are the possible entrances?"
"Yes. Two of them have a traffic volume fairly larger than what they would need. The third one..." She points at a larger picture. It shows a military base. "Is simply extremely secure and therefore a possibility. Aside from that, it is easy to hide prisoner transports and such entering a military base."
"So, now we have to find out which one it is..."
"Why not simply attack all three positions?"
"Because we do not have the necessary amount of manpower. Besides, concentrating on one aim rather than three rises the chance of success. Anyway..." Althena hesitated. "We need to prepare. We can`t use our own tech to gain entry. It would be recognised easily. But recently, we acquired a plane from a hostile nation (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2118463#2118463). We will need to add some stuff to it, especially the hull, but it should work, although not perfectly."
Althena stopped, and the silence that followed made clear that this 'conference' was over.

Meanwhile, in a small, unimportant DA harbour, a DA sub arrived. Half a day earlier, it had met a Knootian ship in the open sea outside the poisonous chemical waste the sea near DA is... It´s small crew had taken a crate from the Knootian ship. On it was a symbol... the symbol that serves as radiation warning...

"Someone has sent a message on a monitered enemy frequency.....high level coding...send from sector:AA13"
The commander turned to the speaker
"are you sure..."
"confirmed Commander.."
The Commander eyed him carefully, watching the neural connection between the man and the computer pulse and wondered how the multitude of wires connecting the man to the computers didnt cause more pain.
"Hmmmm Pass it onto Section 5"
"confirmed"

A few days later
XP 144/2. That was her name. At least for the moment. Outside the plane, when she wasn`t connected to it, it was 'Anna'.
She felt the cool air embbracing her skin, the flow of fuel in her body...
She was special, unlike most other planes. No weapons disturbed her grace, hindered the air embracing her body. When she was in the air, flying, it was absolute beauty. Perfection. She wasn`t a machine, she was more... the goddess of the skies.
She was slow, true. Mach 0.9 the maximum, right now she sliced through the air with Mach 0.6.
Only a few more minutes until she would reach the desired position, to let loose the disturbing thing in her body, her cargo... She didn`t like it. It was unnatural, strange... Unlike her and her sisters, it was... it simply didn`t belong to her, it wasn`t supposed to be inside her.
Finally, she reached the desired position, and stopped. Opened her hatch. Watched her passenger, this... 'strange thing' fall down. Watched it hitting the sea.
It survived. Good.
She didn`t care to much about what would happen now. She had finished her mission, and wanted to go home.
And so she flew back, sliced through the air, danced in the dark sky of the starlit night... Impossible to be seen, her skin just emitting light... a picture... the picture of what was at the other side...
However, there was a flaw in the plan. active cloacking, radar stealth, heat containment... it was all there. It had succeeded, defeated the Reich- defences. Unfortunately, the electromagnetic field is enormous...
A few miles away, a Iesus Christi sub emerges from the sea... They did register the electromagnetic field...
However, the single man the plane dropped finally arrives at the coast, coughing. It wasn`t that easy... it wasn`t that easy at all.
