History of Bajon-Nephtali: (Deviates from normal history)

The Early Years: (Using Issachar as my primary nation) 1952-1997
Centuries ago, the small country of Issachar founded in the area known as Turkey. Over decades, the small nation prospered and led the region until their allies turned againt them in a violent clash with the nation known as Russian Forces. Issachar held its own and managed to pull out, with no further losses. There was no victor. However, the country knew it was no longer welcome, as the other nations slandered the name Issachar at every turn. Issachar then sought out the GDODAD, whom they had already befriended. The dictatorship of Issachar was rapidly accepted. However, the nation could not take its marked name with them into the new era, and so Bajon was born.

The GDODAD Era: (Bajon becomes primary nation) 1998-2020
After joining, the people of Bajon moved to the UWB, to protect themselves from attack, and to solidify their power. Bajon grew through the ranks quickly, becomming one of the strongest members through both force and support. Bajon began its thriving Mech industry and sold to many of the GDODAD members, most notably Crimmond. Bajon was involved in the last few World Wars with GDODAD, and fought admirably. Soon, Bajon attained COMA status in the GDODAD. After a century or so in the GDODAD, Bajon stagnated and the culture began to decline. Soon after came the collapse of the GDODAD, which Bajon had grown apart from. As the great alliance began to crumble from internal politics, Bajon left. At the same time, they cut ties with Steel Butterfly who was seen as the nation leading to the GDODAD collapse.

The Planet Caravan: 2021-2106
After the GDODAD collapse, Bajon could no longer remain in the relative safety of the UWB, which had been increasingly attacked. Bajon looked to the stars for their answer. However, there was a large percentage of Bajonis (mostly humans) who refused to leave earth. In compromise, the colony of Nephtali was set up on an island in the Corporate Islands archiepelago. The colony extended deep underground, and housed an entirely self-sufficient colony. Using the unspent funds accumulated over decades, Bajon brought its transport fleet back from the shipyards and took to the stars. This hodgepodge fleet of transports, known as the Planet Caravan moved from planet to planet, searching for a home. Eventually, they settled in orbit around Uranus. Soon however, after setting up a stable government, the nation looked for permanent residence. They saw Mars.

The Martian Age: 2107-2120
The Bajonis searched for a good location, and eventually made plans to settle the Olympus Mons area of Mars. Bajon sent hundreds of thousands of work crews and mechs to burrow out a grand capital inside the giant mountain. After seeing first-hand the conditions on Mars, new plans were drawn up to house the majority of the population in the giant city. Once complete, the Bajonis began construction in the large caverns, eventually creating a grand city of Machinery and Stone (Think Zion from the Matrix). Bajon prospered on Mars, until the fateful day when their genetic engineering backfired on them.

The Nietzscheans: 2121-2136
In an attempt to make the perfect soldiers, Bajon created the Neitzscheans. However, these brainwashed super-soldiers rallied behind a psychotic leader and overthrew the government, taking control and carrying out horrible genocides on many of the Elves. The Drow were spared however, and sent deep into the mines to work as slaves. The Nietzscheans made many enemies out of the other Martian nations, but kept them at bey with the threat of war. The Empire of Menelmacar claimed a vast territory to the east of Bajon to keep the Anti-Elf Nietzscheans in check. The leader, Bandon, slowly lost his mind until he erupted in the MIDAS negotiations and nearly killed a foreign diplomat. After this, revolution propoganda began flooding into Bajon, and some of it made its way to the Drow slaves, with promises of support in a rebellion. The oppresed Drow revolted, and led an assault up through the mines, and into the city itself. They slaughtered all Nietzscheans and their supporters, and soon took complete control of the nation and the colony of Nephtali (which had been unaffected by the revolutions on Mars).

The New Bajon: 2137-2149
With the new Drow order, the humans were "encouraged" to leave Olympus city, and soon, all but a few humans remained in Bajon. The others had gone to the colony. Now, with the influx of humans, the colony outpopulated Bajon itself. To keep order, the Empress gave the colony an autonomous government headed by one of her governors.

The Nocturnal Empire: 2150-Now (2177)
With the foreign species now gone from Bajon, the Drow ordered the city darkened, to conserve power and money. The Drow had no problems with this, but it drove the last humans away to the colony. The lack of light has given rise to the new name for the Empire, the Nocturnal Empire. It has also given rise to Vampiric cults in the undercity, and a new war may begin soon to dispose of them. Bajon has wildely prospered since then, despite the loss of land due to the terraforming and new ocean.
