"We are such hypocrites! We condemn other nations when they are involved in military conflict for silly issues, yet we are no better! We must create an example for the world to follow, that of taking military action only when our nation's rights or safety are threatened!" Esamopian Deputy Foreign Minister.
"If we can shake ourselves from the biases and irrelevance of committing troops to ever miniscule situation that develops, perhaps not only will we florish domestically, but use our newly found neutrality to settle disputes from all around the world, with the permission of the belligerents of course. After hearing the overwhelming testimony in the Politburo, the Politburo has decided by a 197-1-2 vote to declare Esamopia's military forces "off-limits" to all but actions in which "Esamopia has a direct and active alliance, or in defense of Esamopian territorial, economic, or political rights." By an identical margin, the Politburo passed a resolution declaring that Esamopia "shall stand free from bias or favoritism, ready to tackle the world's problems when welcome, but offering nothing more than mild criticism when not welcome."
A new age for Esamopia may be at hand, time will tell...
