Tomorrow night, or Tuesday (since I have no classes), I'll be starting two (yes you read right) RP's. One will be about a manhunt for Rei Warheit, the other a bording school for mercenaries. (Think FF8 Garden type deal) Anyhow...

The Manhunt one will be about the continuing Warheit saga. Warheit, as said in a previously thread, was captured for genetic experiments during an episode where he was in great emotional turmoil about his life. He then was pronounced as missing and probably dead: a lie by my emperor, Nemerov. Well, I wouldn't kill off my favorite character, so he's getting out, but this time I'm taking the viewpoint of both him but more so a hunter employed to get him back for the Emperor. Others can join in the hunt, or assist him I guess.

The boarding school will be a school that teaches its students to be mercenaries and special operatives, based in Steel Butterfly, but open to students of all nations. It will be like a Shentavo Academy type-RP only with a purpose and the students will be able to go on missions for field tests and the like.

The connection between the two RP's? The guy hunting Warheit will be a graduate of the academy, and might visit it during the RP. It will essentially be one huge RP, occuring during the same time, just in two different parts of the galaxy, or at least Steel Butterfly space. Events in one RP will be mentioned in the other, and the like. You can either choose to be part of one or the other, or be part of both. While possibly time consuming, you'd get the best RP experience out of doing both. Also, while the manhunt will end with either him being found or not being found (both would result in another RP involving Warheit), the Mercenary Academy one could continue for god knows how long. So be prepared...Steel Butterfly will be once again pushing the limits of NS RP's...all I need now are good writers! Think you're up to it? Be prepared...it will be coming within the next few days!

Being a machine that deplores its human counterparts and has no positive feelings for them, he/it would do great in a mercenary academy as it would give me some space to build on him/it.

If a Roanian wants someone dead, they generally send assassins out or blow them and their neighbours to kingdom come, not hire mercenaries. I suppose that there might be exiles, or something...

As for the manhunt, if it's taking place in the Orion Sector, last I checked David Bismark, a former High Inquisitor ((currently on the run from his former comrades for being too callous and uncaring about civilians)) could be in the area.

Well SB, since you sent me a telegram, I take it you'd like me involved. I don't do school RPs, but I'd be interested in your Warheit story. Xanthal doesn't appreciate renegades, no matter how justified (unless they're helping us). Thus, we'd be helping hunt him unless he has something to offer us in return for helping him. We go where our personal benefit is.

Naturally, certain types of Mercenaries are very similar to Assassins

Being that they'll be going to an extensive school, they won't be run of the mill expendible mercenaries that you stick on the front lines...they'll be more like spec ops mercenaries...and...hey...perhaps assassins!

It'd probably be good for the RP to establish a single man/woman, or a smaller (3-10) group of soldiers with personalities and such to be tracking him down. This goes for everyone.

These characters need to be able to exist in the school environment. If Mr. Frog can't do basic sword or weapons training, or can't type in the answers to a test, than too damn bad.

and because Warheit's "journey through his RP's" if you can call it that, will be involvng more and more fantasy and mythology, your character seems quite acceptable for either the manhunt or the academy.

Yeah, I found myself slowly accepting it as my country somehow drifted in that direction when I wasn't looking. I still don't have rampant magic like some nations, but this guy was an exception. :roll:

Cool...although he might not be appreciative...

and it's pronounced differently depending on who says it...from "War-heit" to "War-heet" to "War-he-ite" to "Vor-heit" to "Vor-heet".

"Vor-hite" is the ancient pronounciation...what it really is...but in modern times it is "War-heit" with the heit being like in Fahrenheit. Dialect in SB has changed over the years. Rei says "War-heit" talking about himself, but "Vor-hite" talking about his ancestors.

This is a 1 or 2 person mecha, capable of walking, skating, and even flying, especially in Zero-G (but can not perform Re-Entry)

It has 2 Arms with limited-use hands, 1 Plasma-Bolt Cannon, 3 Gauss Rifle (2 Medium, 1 heavy), and 2 Farad Beam Cannons. it has also been modified to hold up to 16 Short-Range Missiles. Here's some current stuff...alot of past stuff has been purged.

He had been the general in charge of the Imperial Space Fleet and Marines, the youngest general ever at age 25 (he's 28 now)

He did many wicked things as the space commander including destroying a whole colony of elves for no reason. He was also corrupt, letting a few pirates pass by "unnoticed" while he killed others.
