Rest In Peace, Kitsylvania

[The choice of forum for this is stretching it, but I don't care.]

Kitsylvania, I hardly knew you. First it was the Santa Cthulhu, in those pre-moderator days. The few people like you were forced to take matters in to your own hands. Then you came on IRC, and we talked some. The running joke on IRC was that if someone asked if I used a Mac, it was like asking if you were a liberal. The Mod Squad was a valiant effort, a superb idea that never really caught on for reasons unknown to me. irc.uplink2k.com was a great place until it stopped working, why I still don't know. I never really had the chance to RP with you, but that seems pointless now. We may never have agreed on political views, but you were never angry or condescending about it.

I will miss you.

Although I'm still considered new here (June nation), I do have some dealings with Kitsylvania (Kits) on IRC and such in late August-September. He seems to be a good person, I suppose.

By all means, rest in peace. *salutes*

When did this happen?!?!
A few days ago. When I noticed the Godmode announcement in II is made by an Ex-nation.

...

When did this happen?!?!

Day or three ago. He hit 28 days of inactivity, then...

I feared something when I saw his nation have 14 days or so, and from there it just kept climbing.

Yesterday afternoon. And yup, we're gonna miss you, Kits. Been wondering why we hadn't seen you around. Sorry to see you go.

OOC:

I never had the opportunity to deal with Kitsylvania but if the "Mod Squad" is any indication of his/her desire to make the NS game better, then I think that speaks a lot about the player.

Besides, I'll take advantage of the mod squad if I ever get involved in a war.

Vrak: That raises a point. Who is the leader of the Mod Squad now?

Although I think I remember Kits saying something like, "There is no leader, and there doesn't need to be one."

He had a point. I'm having flashbacks to Derkesthai and Darkskye. I hope I won't have to add Kitsylvania to that list.

Wow... The ultimate pacifist of NS is gone. He will be missed.

He can, probably because of his reputation, have his nation revitalized if he comes back.

I think anyone can do that. But Kits would be bumped to the top of the list if he so chose.

Yes, any nation can be recreated. I have done two of mine. I do think that the Mods might get to his a little quicker than someone they never heard of though.

Crap! Now that his is gone, everybodies going to be swarming MY space elevator!

Pooh.

His was the only nation I know of that got into fewer wars than me.

Perhaps he is merely busy in real life

I speak bits. I know a few words and phrases. That little haiku is the extent of most of my conversational knowledge of the language. But I thought it appropriate given his adoration of "kitsune".
