When War Games could turn to real War

Our nation joined The Gulf States in some war games exercises off the coast of the Guyana Strip. However, one of our ships - a nuclear sub - was sunken during the battle. Since we are a weaker naval power, this loss was costly.

So far, we did recieve an apology from The Gulf States. However, they refuse to help pay for a replacement nuclear sub.

Meanwhile, some of our legislators thought it was a brilliant idea to start expanding into more Latin American territories - which are disputed by many nations in The Great Plain - including TGS, Luporum, and Ruhr.

We have mobilized two of our air craft carriers towards the Yucatan peninsula region off the coast of Mexico. However, the boats were intercepted by TGS navy near Haiti. They have told us to turn around, although we clearly told them we want to peacefully travel to Mexico.

So, we are at bad terms right now with The Gulf States. We're not sure if we really want a war with a much more powerful nation with dangerous weapons capabilities. However, we do seek international support in making an autonomous Christian territory in Central America.

Flocarga and Delmarva had ought to watch where they tread in South and Central America. As a nation where a signifigant minority of our citizens are of hispanic heritage and descent, we will not tolerate further Christian imperialism into the Spanish-speaking countries of the Americas. We desire war as little as anyone else, and as such will not engage in it unless vital to our survival, but rest assured we will make life difficult for those who wish to place any free, unoccupied nation of the Western Hemisphere under their yolk.

We have assembled troops to protect our border along Bolivia and Uruguay in case of an invasion. Also, two thirds of our air force has been deployed from the mainland and our Canadian territories down towards Costa Rica, The Dominican Republic, and Brazil.

You think you're going to be funny trying to invade us over land? I sure love to control my enormous chunk of the Western Hemisphere - but only once I had to resort to gain the territory (QC, PEI, NS, NB, PEI in Canada from Ziotah).

OOC: Hmm. With regard to my last statement, are any countries in the western hemisphere currently unoccupied at all? o.o

As far as I know, the entire Western Hemisphere has been conquested by now by some foreign interests. Some of which (including my own nation) has gained independence from. Menelmacar, California and Alaska, and The Gulf States all hold enormous chunks of the Americas, and we would like to make an impact. You could try to introduce yourself in the Americas, much like we intend. You can share in our bounty of ending the dispute of who owns these Central American nations.

As for your fear of Christian imperialsm - Catholicism already currently is in tact in these regions, as it was introduced 500 years ago by the Spanish. Attempts to convert Latin Americans to born again Christians has been on for decades, as well as education in the English language. We just plan to continue the efforts. However, we promote bilingual education and recognize the Catholic Church as an official religion. Although our version of Catholicism is much more Bible oriented - along with the teachings and traditions of normal Catholicism.

You were the one who wanted to prevent us from taking over land in Central America. Besides, you technically make no effort to gain the lands because Luporum and Ruhr may or may not have these territories. I still consider your nation an ally, even though we had that unfortunate accident off the Suriname province. We just wish for your blessing, and stop interfering in our plans. Because after all, you would have done this sooner if your leaders gained enough courage to say "screw it" and not care if Luporum or Ruhr would notice what you'd be doing.

I suppose we can finance 40-50% towards the purchase of a new sub for F&D. However, we still would like for them to back off in the Central American matter. After all, they just took these South American nations they claim from Dark Terror. And the Bisonics don't know about it yet too. But then again, to F&D - what they don't know don't hurt.

were they in your territorial waters?

The F&D war ship intercepted at Haiti was about 10 miles from the coastline, partly because it boarded the nearby gambling boat.

International law says territorial waters extend 12 miles from the coast.

So yes.

I have come up with some agreements here between the hostile nations

TGS, if there is a war, you will end up paying alot more than the cost of a submarine in ammo etc

second, i feel that Flocarga and Delmarva should pay any fines imposed of the entrance of territorial waters

I hope you will both agree to these terms

Both of our nations are working on an agreement. We wish to end our diplomatic turmoil and become allies again.

There is a certain event in the world we hope goes in our favor. Our war efforts can be saved for that.

OOC: F&D is on a different "North America" than Menelmacar, NYNJ, and C&A are, since F&D gaining independence from either the US or Menelmacar was not RPed with me.

Yeah. I know about that. However, we took the South American sections on your universe.
