Introduction and background of the current regime:
After struggling for nearly a quarter century under a corrupt military dictatorship the people of Caselonia rose up, united by their dynamic leader Eamon 'Che' McGinnis.
Eamon McGinnis was long active in the Socialist Party of Caselonia before the military junta outlawed political parties and McGinnis was subsequently jailed. After making his daring escape with the aid of some prison guards who were taken in by McGinnis' glowing speeches about the glories of Socialism and how it could improve their lives, the guerrilla war was taken to the streets and forests of Caselonia.
After nearly three years of hard fighting, the Caselonia Liberation Front, of which McGinnis had become Commander, took the capital city of Gotha. In a fierce firefight lasting nearly 12 hours, the Presidential Palace was stormed and the Council of Generals that had once ruled Caselonia, along with their loyal bodyguards, were killed in the ensuing battle.
On 3 November 2003, Eamon 'Che' McGinnis (as he had come to be known during the war after someone remarked about the similarities between the struggles of Caselonians and Cubans) ascended to the office of President and renamed the nation The People's Republic of Caselonia.
Shortly after taking power, political parties and elections were outlawed. With the fledgling nation as vulnerable as it was, political dissent could not be allowed to divide the people and take their mind from the reason the war was fought: Social Justice and National Identity for the Caselonian people, reflected by the nation's current national motto ("Social Justice and National Identity!). Through McGinnis' efforts, the economy has recovered from 'Fragile' to 'Developing' according to UN economic experts. Once the nation is secure and the threats of imperialism, subjugation and manipulation of the people by Capitalists has passed, political freedoms will be restored and the people of Caselonia can govern themselves as they see fit.

President Eamon 'Che' McGinnis took the seat of Caselonian Supreme Authority at the age of 34 after a bloody three year guerrilla conflict with the previous military regime. An ardent Socialist, his personal motto is "Live and let live, but let all live comfortably!" Currently, President McGinnis is the sole Executive power in the nation, at least until things have become stable and the economy is thriving.

Hans-Joachim Köhler was a General in the Caselonian Defense Force throughout most of the Military Dictatorship. After witnessing President McGinnis' speak as a young man in several Socialist Party rallies, he became swayed to the cause, eventually 'defecting' to the guerrillas. His military and organizational experience was absolutely invaluable in swinging the tides of war in the favor of the CLF and he was subsequently awarded the Ministry of Defense leadership. He currently manages Caselonia's rapidly growing regular army of 80,000 men, now known as the Caselonian Peoples' Army.

Hasso von Keldermann, a long-standing Socialist and University economics professor, was instrumental in securing donations from nations and affluent individuals sympathetic to the CLF's cause during the guerrilla war. His genius in assuring a steady flow of international funds to the guerrillas' aid made him a natural candidate for the position and he has taken Caselonia's economy from being listed as 'Fragile' to 'Very Strong' by the UN Council in record time.

Sean O'Brien, formerly a career police officer in the military regime, often aided CLF guerrillas during the war, smuggling them into urban areas, through government checkpoints and out of holding areas and remote prisons through his judicious use of his personal connections, the use of his subordinates (the sympathetic ones) to further the cause, and his ruthless suppression of elements that would've compromised the effort during the war. These natural skills made him a fine choice for Minister of the Interior and he and his office currently work to round up dissidents, expose treasonous and seditious cells operating to undermine the popular revolution, and generally suppress criminal behavior in the nation.
