My Red Dragon campaign is good, but it's still in the beginning phases so far. Once total war breaks out, then it will be good :)

Would be a good idea to get a list going, showing RP threads their categories etc.
Be a good way to promote them and let people know what's available in that direction.

most of them are closed after the first page though, so that would be pointless.

How about people come up with new rp ideas? not the same old distress call or i declare war crap, just normal scenarios! Like a news story or a riot or a terrorist cell investigation?

Spy RPs are kinda cool too, when done right.

Strangers meeting in bars are a good RP, you have no idea where the other RPers are going to take it.

Maybe a lot of them close because people just don't see them?
New threads disappear very quickly from the forum main pages...what, it takes about all of 20 seconds.

Lists just might make it possible for more of them to make it past the initial page and get a good group of dedicated posters?

This is a developing RP. Right now, the scene is just being set.

I'll be starting two (yes you read right) tomorrow...

One about a boarding school...of a special kind...

and one about a manhunt (A Warheit RP...for those who know of him)

I would have done them this weekend...but the forums were shit...and now I need to write a paper

So...how do we vote?

Just who has the best RPs going, where are they and why are they so great?
With categories for New RPs and Established RPs

And no...creators shouldn't have a vote!

No...it'll deal with well...

Ever play FF8? Close to the Garden...but I'm not copying it or anything.

Good RPs end...that's the nature of them...they have endings

Sometimes these endless RP's lose their point by post #350 or so

Suunto- interesting beginning, very high quality of writing.

Everything ends....
But hey, while they're still going, get em noticed and that just might keep them going for a couple of posts more.

(and I'm thinking there are a lot of folks who can do with practice! )

OOC: Anything with modern/future tech? I've been sorely disappointed with the selection lately, and my Criminal Element RP suddenly died, so I'm stuck with pretty much nothing.

OOC: I like your stuff, SB, but I get lost pretty quick. A prime example would be your 'Man is a good in ruins', which was fantastic.

OOC: Ah hell, I'll bite. What are they gonna be about? I might have to switch nations, this is almost strictly modern/future tech. My other one does pretty well with all four tech levels. (Modern/Past/Magic/Future)

This is a link to my current RP, 'The Stuff of Nightmares'. It's a combination sci-fi/horror RP introducing my nation and main protagonist, the rogue unit 942.

Silmessë, an Elvish Nation mysteriously emerges (Open RP) (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=89505)

Songs of Lamentation were coursing through Aldaringwë like tangible rivers of sorrow. Shadowing the liquid prose, something that should not have been present was discerned within the voices – confusion.
Olorndil could see it in the faces of his people, the way their eyes sought him out. They hoped for answers, but he had none for them.
Turning away from their eyes left him facing the throne, where hours before had lain a fine layer of dust. It was still hard for Olorndil to believe that they had been the ashes of the true king, his father.

Confusion ruled his nation. One quarter of his people had become dust and the heavens above revealed that several centuries had past seemingly within an instant. Read on... (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=89505)
