Earlier today, the Isaac Newton battlegroup, one of LRR's finest, was destroyed. This is strange because there was no evidence of hostile ships in the area. There was a supposed missile tracking alarm, but that was identified as a sensors glitch shortly before the loss of the group. An investigation is being launched to try and find out what caused theis terrible loss. Meanwhile, the Leonardo Da Vinci battlegroup is being dispached from the Hugo drive yards after refitting to the last known position of the Isaac Newton battlegroup. The drive yards are also gearing up for the construction of a new battlegroup, the Edmond Halley battlegroup. Designs are already being drawn up for the new ship. It is supposed that it will have a flying saucer shape and will be powered by the same Antimatter drives that all LRR capital ships use. But besides this, the rest of the ships to be constructed are standard designs.
