LV-1901 and other LV Planets survived Nova (BARELY)

08-11-2003, 06:32
we sent a Scoutship to the LV system to pay our respects to our dead, and we found a few planets survived the Nova of the LV sun. LV-1901, our largest colony of 100,000,000 survived beacuse it was on the outter edge of the system and didn't take any damage to the surface.

LV-300, our second largest colony was however obliterated compleatly by the Nova.

LV-1002, a colony of 20,000,000 took heavy casualty's, over 40% of the colonists there where killed or wounded heavily.

all the other Colonys where obliterated compleatly by the wave the nova sent out.

So the only LV planet remaining is LV-1901

only 2 Planets survived the nova, the numbers are part of the planets names

cool. you just obliverated a few of my enemies nations

thx

(enemies meaning hostile nations: SR LV-10, sr LV-20, Sr lV-30, LV-40C)

acually the nova was accidental, nobody knew it was gonna nova until it was too late

oh and by the way. Have 5 billion dollars to help rebuild

idiot, the LV10, 20 and 30 and 40C are actually here on YOUR planet Lapse. In SR Control. Doomed? No, I don't think so.

EDIT: These are meerly nations in SR Control, which is on the same planet as lapse. So lapse, unless you just got fried too, I think the nations are safe :)

*tries to think logically about this situation**cannot*

Ignored.

Ah... another Reverted n00b gone. I trust I don't really have to explain to most nations why?

It's just the names of different nations. Just a concidience that it happens to look like some planets in some other place. Since they wern't registered by him, they're not his puppets, they're mine, its not up to anyone else to determine their losses (god modding). 10-30 happen to be my puppets (i don't use the values of their military, just for location purposes) and I say that they're here on this planet (dunno if you want to call it Earth or whatever), the same as Lapse and the Pacific regions. As for 40C, owned by a friend of mine, and its on the SAME PLANET.
08-11-2003, 07:41
it's a SYSTEM, not a nation i am talking about, the LV system.
08-11-2003, 07:46
omg.. you are kidding me about this, right? tell me you are joking... a planet surviving a nova? The shockwave would go out beyond the edge of the system... and even if somehow it did manage to survive... umm.. ever hear of a little thing called radiation? pulsars and netron stars tend to send out a lot of it...

Ok I don't really understand. Lapse just sent a TG saying "DOOOOOMED" and this link thinking that those nations had been obliterated. I just came in to clear that up and say that they aren't, it's just Lapse's whishful thinking.

CC, there are over 2,000 planets in that system, most of the inner ones where obliterated instantly. the midrim ones are now glowing. the outter ones recived minimal Damage.

This System is different, most of the planets are Artic, only 4 are habitable, well 2 now are.

Star Systems come in many forms, this is just one of themWith 2,000 planets, you must have some serious gravity issues. Such a system would be full of planetary collisions, and would certainly be fun to watch from afar. However, living on such planets would obviously be suicide.

And don't pretend that the shockwave from the supernova didn't effect the orbit of the surviving planets. Most likely in froze over all surviving worlds by knocking them back and out of orbit.

Um... No offense, but none of them are inhabitable anymore. Even if two did manage to survive (I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on that one), you can't live on a planet with no sun. Unless, of course, you have great heaters and an independant food supply. This is all ignoring the fact that even if the planet itself survived the atmosphere would be ruined if not blown away completely.

And sr, it was a joke. I know that you were not killed in it (unless you chose to be).

please don't turn this into a flame war

Xanthal: My people live UNDER The ground, they arn't stupid enough to go above groung for there are dangerous creatures (XenoMorphs) and poisonus plantlife there, the only reason we settled there is beacuse we where running out of space in Trasa (The land, not the planet) and yes i am aware that it would freeze and that's why all facility's are underground and i KNOW the Atmosphere is practicly decimated.

So you decided this was an optimal site for a colony because...?
08-11-2003, 08:26
beacuse it had the only atmosphere to sustiain the Creatures we where studying (the aliens from the movie Alien)

08-11-2003, 08:26
Well then, you're good by me. However, I'd suggest you move your colonists elsewhere now. It's hard to keep track of and defend a rogue planet.
08-11-2003, 08:28
we are currently trying to move them to the WY system, if you could assist it would be helpful.

we know, it's mostly the inner planets like LV 12, it's FULL of holes.

the outter ones seem almost unaffected by the Gravity.

OOC: Soviet Trasa, please just stop. You're digging a logic grave here. Everyone else, let's all just accept that this happened somehow and move on. It's not a big deal.

IC: The Socialist Empire of Xanthal would be happy to assist you in moving the colonists. We are dispatching transports now.

what complete idiot of a leader would put a hundred million people on a colony underground beneath an arctic wasteland to study carverous acid spitting aliens??

Oh, i know who... the same one who would spend trillions of dollars on a group of 5-mile long defenseless pieces of metal... and put a weapons base on every system I occupy... and suicide bomb everyone... and dodge bullets in shuttlecraft...

can we say "in the name of Scientific progress"? we are working to create cures for Trasa's sick people.

Xanthal:we thankyou for your assistance, for most of our craft where obliterated when the sun went boom
