I'm new.. and confused
Hi. I just joined, and I'm not sure I'm posting this in the right forum, but, can someone summarize what NationStates is about?

NS is not a game in the sense of CivIII or such, there's no tangible money, troops, or land. Basically your country description is a guideline, a starting point.
What NS is really about is roleplaying, using the information in your description. You can roleplay trade, wars, alliances, diplomatic crises, terrorism, sports tournaments, or even the courtship of a kingdom's princess - yes, I have observed that happening once. Its about anything goes, as long as it involves your country or events in your country.
Ask Agua Puro anything about NS, roleplay ettiquette - you better do this before you post anymore - and we're/I'm happy to help.
Finally, Agua Puro offers its new nation plan: we will defend your nation with our troops until you develop a small army, in exchange for the use of your troops in our affair when you grow larger.

Its alright to post things like that in this section of the forums. Your best bet to learning the game (at least, this is what I did) is to observe other people for a while by reading different threads and most especially the threads at the top of the pages (the one's with the stickies). But this game is mostly based on forum posting.
If you need any help in things, or don't have questions answered, feel free to contact me or other players. Most are willing to help a newbie, as long as you try to Role Play (RP) realistically. Oh, and if someone decides to pick on you because your small, get in touch with me.
Per negotiations discussed outside of this forum, Agua Puro and Celadon Islands have reached the following accords:
Agua Puro will defend Celadon Islands militarily and diplomatically.
Agua Puro will airlift 5 thousand infantry into Celadon Islands, which will be removed once the CI Military is of at least one-half of a million people.
When the military of Celadon Islands is of at least one-half of a million people, CI will defend Agua Puro militarily and diplomatically. In addition, CI will contribute some of its military to Agua Puran forces in a conflict, if requested by Agua Puro.
